I don't think the CDJ-3000 is "Pioneer's answer to Denon", rather an update (and a very good one, if you ask me) to the CDJ-2000 NXS2. Also, why does connecting it to the mixer via digital is greater than analog RCA? This unit has an upgraded D/A converter that should sound amazing but you will bypass it using digital connection (you will then get the sound of mixer's D/A converter). Looking forward for the full review! Keep up the good work, guys! :)

If you connect via analogue RCA to say for example a DJM-900nxs2 then that analogue signal will immediately be converted into digital audio (whilst passing through the mixer) before being converted back to analogue via the outputs... Connecting via digital saves a conversion and should be the preferred option in this case. To appreciate the improved D/A converters in the CDJ-3000 would be to hook it up to a purely analogue mixer.

only deference between denon and poineer that i like is pioneer keeps wave form colorful and denon uses green waveform

DJBooth Pro Audio I think you made a mistake the The Denon DJ MCX8000 is a built in mixer 4 channel I am sure the Pioneer CDJ 3000 will work

Think its safe to say that Pioneer DJ dropped the ball in regards to the hot cue button placement...and as much as they are right in leaving off some cutting edge tech that the denons have so that djs have some familiarity with the new machines, they still could have included WiFi and multi touch screens. I also think more milking of our hard earned cash is coming in the future with CDJ3000 Nexus iterations. And almost certainly a new DJM Mixer

for me this is an xdj 2000, not a cdj

No CD slot drive, I probably do better with the CDJ 2000 its probably better for Serato than the 3000

Even SC5000 is better/has lots more useful feature than CDJ-3000 in my opinion😐
