I was17years old in 1973 and my brother had just bought on vinyl DSOTM we both had never heard it.He put it on the stereo put the needle down and from that moment our attitudes to music changed, both of us had never heard music like it we where just stunned.I am 67 now and I will never forget that moment. I know exactly how you feel when listening to these songs for the first time.

I was 15, 1975, when I heard DSOTM all the way through, but I could only remember it was a Pink Floyd album. So I started to buy any album, hoping to find that One. The record store was always out of DSOTM, so I fell in love with the earlier albums. Any new album was a must get.

It's incredible that 'The Dark Side of the Moon' holds the record of more than 900 weeks in the US Bilboard 200 charts. One hell of an achievement. Thanks for the Floyd reactions.
Dick Pary is the legendary saxophonist that played with Floyd on many iconic records. He really is such an underrated part of the magic of Pink Floyd. Cheers brother 🍻

4:53 "You couldn't get more beautiful than that" and then the look on your face at 5:16 when the sax kicked in👌Your comments are from the heart, we know that, and we know exactly what you mean when (in your words) you ramble and sometimes struggle to get what you're feeling across, Pink Floyd does that to you, but hey, you're making a fine job of it so far and this was another great reaction✌

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times...when you world turns to shit and you've had a crappy day, you come home, pour a scotch (or similar), or glass of red, drink that offing it down. Then, pour another, woof that down too, then pour a third one and go turn off all the lights. Put this OR any Pink Floyd record on. Go find a bean bag or deep leather couch, put your headphones on and sink down into your chair, close your eyes, sip away the final drink, and let the music sooth your soul !!!
One thing that fills me with hope in this crazy, divided world is seeing how the discovery of music brings joy and togetherness to all kinds of people all over the world. We are way more alike than different, and this song really illustrates that, as does your channel. The pure appreciation of great music. Much love, from Arizona, USA ❤
Thanks for taking us all along to the first time WE heard PF - the excitement, anticipation and awe at the brilliance of their music make it as fresh as when I first heard it 50 years ago. Seriously, thank you for this.

Thank you David, really nice to read!
You said you were on a journey this time. I was a Navy Corpsman (medic) in Viet Nam when Dark Side of the Moon came out (1973). Everyone I knew had the album and played it over and over. Never tired of it. Some people call their music an "experience" some call it a "journey". I call it an "adventure" as it includes both and is an adventure you don't want to end. In all these years I have never tired of it.
I can’t get enough of you reacting to Pink Floyd. ⭐️🔥
The sax solo in this one does what a David Gilmour guitar solo usually does. Floyd is so multi faceted they are amazing. Your reactions are spot on.
Just came across your channel today. Absolutely addicted. As a Pink Floyd fan, watching someone who is experiencing this music for the first time is a joy to watch.
I'm a 63-year-old who is rediscovering Pink Floyd after being away from them for a while. I remember having their albums when I was in high school that came out in the early '70s which were Meddle and then Dark Sde and then Wish You Wete Here I can honestly say that I appreciate them much more now than I did as a youth and maybe it's because I kind of took things for granted back then and didn't realize how fortunate we were. I'll just toss out a couple of song suggestions for you and they are One of These Days, St. Tropez, (which will only cast in stone your supposition that they are always changing it up because you will not believe this is Pink Floyd) and one of my favorites off an album you've already listened to one song from, and that is Sheep. Happy listening!
Now you know why the music of the 70's is so, so special! Enjoy your reactions!
This song is the most beautiful song i've heard and my favourite Pink Floyd song. Love your reactions you really understand this kind of music
When I'm feeling down or stressed, it's usually Pink Floyd that I turn to. And it's the album Dark Side of the Moon particularly. All 43 + minutes are pure genius from beginning to end. Not one note, not one instrument, not one vocal out of place. Perfection.

Rick Wright wrote the piano/keyboard/Hammond Organ melody for us and them, whilst working with the floyd in the late 60's, on the soundtrack for the movie "Zaberiskis point" he then evolved and expanded it for "us and them"....wonderful , beautiful piece of music from Rick...the rest of the band too , especially Rogers Waters lyrics.
I remember 44yrs ago when I first heard it, barely a teen... it was wonder-ful and has always been.🙏🏾
Love your reactions to Pink Floyd. My cool grandmother introduced me to Pink Floyd and CCR as Christmas gift in 1969. It changed my life from the Big Band music of my parents to rock I would love forever! Thanks grandma you were the best and I still miss you and my parents.
An awesome and brilliant track from Pink Floyd! The rhythm had a melodic mood to it as the saxophone 🎷, piano, drums, organ, and the bass sound makes a great blend of the song 🎶. The lyrics that says, “Us (Us, us, us, us, us) and them (Them, them, them, them)/ And after all, we’re only ordinary men“, I was shook by them. And the song is about he pressures in life and the senseless war that the individuals have/had to go through. Thanks so much for sharing your reaction and it’s a like and thumbs up.😄👍#pinkfloyd

Oh god Hector, I make sure I have a hankie with me now as I am doubled over laughing 🤣🤣🤣just love your reactions. All of us who grew up with this were truly blessed me, 50 yrs plus of total joy& emotion, gods bless Pink Floyd& all who sail with them ❤❤❤
Im 63 years old, seen the floyd 5 times, They never cease to amaze me, but in my day music was created, unlike today, manufactured. sad but true.
"Music that touches your soul..." - Pink Floyd in a nutshell. Great reaction again, Hector! Love it!! The majority of the Floyd catalogue is best enjoyed as the original recording. However, the 1995 Pulse concert contains some outstanding live performances. You've already done Comfortably Numb, but may I also advise High Hopes, Run Like Hell, One Of These Days and Sorrow from the same live performance? Some other recorded masterpieces still awaiting you are: Wish You Were Here (it's a direct message to Syd - heartbreaking stuff...), Welcome To The Machine, Marooned, Pigs, Sheep, Mother, Brain Damage/Eclipse, Keep Talking, On The Turning Away and, if you're feeling really brave and want to tackle some of the earlier psychedelic material, Atom Heart Mother, Fat Old Sun and See Emily Play. Keep it up, mate! This is WAY better than anything you'll find on telly...!! 🎸❤🤟
The roller coaster connection was well done. Thank you again for your reaction. As a Floydian, thank you!
These lyrics are timeless, and the music is still incredible, over 50 years later. I don't know how they did it.
"Lost For Words"!!!! Floydians know!
I was at the Pulse concert in 1994. It was my graduation (high school) for me and my two friends. The most amazing night / concert I've ever experienced. I love that you are getting a chance to experience this music and love your reactions. Keep going on my friend!!!!!!
Pink Floyd is a journey. I like to sit on my recliner with the lights dimmed or off in front my stereo with Floyd on high fidelity speakers... just takes you to another dimension.
Pink Floyd,,,,as well as Led Zeppelin,,,,are just on another level. 💥💥💥👍😎
This was the first album I ever listened to, and I am still listening to PF 51 years later. Ignore the hatters, you be you. I love your reactions because they are true to you.
Same here 67 and love pink floyd. ❤️
10,000 AD. This album will still be relevant!!!!
I just watched this reaction, and I love the way you described this as a roller coaster ride. The sheer enjoyment you share makes me so happy. Im 65, and I love that young people are still out there listening. You've made my day, thanks!
I love your reactions! Pink Floyd is my favorite band and I listen to PF every day. I was 24 when this album came out and it just blew my mind! You have just cracked the surface of their music. Keep listening!!
In South Africa, the most prized album was an imported vinyl of Dark Side of the Moon, cos the local production sucked! I never regretted getting the UK press... Brilliant!
Pink Floyd dark side of the moon tour was the greatest concert I've ever seen!! It was in Phoenix in the 70s, about 25 of us went together, I stayed totally sober for this concert, no weed for me please pass it along..I told my brother I wanted to remember every single minute of this concert and it was worth it because it's still crystal clear in my mind!! Great reaction young man, imagine how we felt in our teenage years with a bunch of friends smoking a joint or two, turning off the lights, lighting a candle and nobody moves until someone has to turn the album over!! I'm so happy you are enjoying Pink Floyd!! I told my children and grandchildren that when I pass away I want to be buried with headphones and dark side of the moon playing on loop!!
Pink Floyd "SOUND"...NOTHIN like it! 🥴🥴🥴🤪😎✌️❤️🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶💯
It's never too much, I'm watching you have the same experience I had when first hearing Pink Floyd almost 50 years ago. Either you get it or you don't, experience it for yourself and be real.
This song is so fun to play live on an acoustic guitar. All the boomers start smiling and swaying along to it...never fails :)
Thanks so much for your reactions! You make my day, keep them coming! I discovered them in my late teens, and every time I find time to listen to Dark Side the meaning of the album changes with me as I get older. It’s so strange. The second side is one of my favourite pieces of music. I hope you’ll get a chance to listen start to finish and let them take you on that journey. Cheers from Canada.
Side 1 of Dark Side of the Moon is in many ways the journey from life to death. Side 2, which this is from, is more about the trials of life. Money, War (this one), Drugs (according to Syed Reacts, and I agree), and of course, madness/mental illness. Love taking this journey with you. It's terrific.
When I was around 12, I found this album in a fort in the woods. I brought it home and listened to it over and over, showed my friends and we all listened to it on repeat. I am having so much fun watching your reactions. I was driving home from Thanksgiving when I discovered your channel, you made my ride, fun! Thank you
This whole album may be the most brilliant record of all time. Even more enhanced by recording in the famous Abbey Road studio, where the Beatles or Deep Purple created similar gems.
Pink Floyd just taps into something deep within us that no other band has ever matched, IMHO.
Pink Floyd is the apex of musical and lyrical genius. I’ve listened since their inception and never tire. Your excitement in discovery has been reinvigorating and fun to watch. Two suggestions: check out “Sheep” asap and watch “Sorrow” live from Pulse or “Run Like Hell” from Pulse. Best concert I ever attended (by far) - 1994.
My future husband and I went to the Pink Floyd movie in the 70's - our first date. This became "our song".
F the hate! Born in 71 and grew up with floyd! Pulse was my wife's 1st concert! Turned my kids onto floyd and try with everyone else!
They say we only use 70% of our brain Pink Floyd taps into the the other 30% and puts on one another plain of existence in the best way possible
From Echoes by Pink Floyd. Strangers passing in the street By chance, two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand the best I can? Us and Them continues the thought: “We are the same. All else is a façade”
Good for you man, as Kris Kristofferson once said,... "Don't let the Bastards Get You Down". Pink Floyd is a very special band.
It's fantastic where you say "I'm just looking at the world...and I'm seeing the planet..." and then Gilmour sings "...and in the end it's only round 'n' round, round, round, round,..." like the planet going around and around!
Thanks for this. Great stuff as always, your energy and joy is infectious and wonderful to watch. I know you are in to your rap/hip hop and that you have started to branch out. While I tend to never suggest tunes for anyone to react to and I am sure a lot of people will have suggest them before, but you should dip your toe in the the world of Led Zeppelin. The reason i mention them is two fold, firstly, they are awsome :) and secondly and more interesting for you is, they are one of the most, if not thee most sampled bands in music history. A huge reason for this is down to rap/hip hop artist sampling the drums and rhythms of Led Zeppelin as their drummer is seen as one of the finest of all time. Most people will suggest Stairway To Heaven, which is nice enough, but given your love of rap, I would suggest When The Levee Breaks as I am positive you will instantly get why I suggest this. Give it a go sometime, even on your own time and you will feel the cogs start turning as everything falls in to place on your musical journey. Keep on doing you.... much love
Bro I absolutely love your reactions, I felt the exact same way when I first heard all these amazing songs. Screw the haters bro, keep on doing what you’re doing. I suggest you listen to a track called ‘ One of these Days’, from the Meddle album

I'm an old guy who started the Pink Floyd voyage in '72. I still vividly remember the first time I heard PF, it was DSOTM. A profound experience! Fun to watch you do the same thing. Enjoy life, enjoy music and f**k the haters! Rock on.

Since in the video you mentioned "lost for words" I recommend you listen to the pink floyd song that is called exactly like that, it is from the album THE DIVISION BELL, quite different from what you have heard up to here, perhaps another version of pink floyd, but totally incredible and with a very deep meaning

Pink Floyd is my favorite thing in the world, and your reactions to them are the most lovely thing I've ever witnessed.
Us And Them was always my favourite song off the album. Nick Mason, Pink Floyd's drummer, also says it's his favourite track. Richard Wright originally wrote the music for the soundtrack to the movie Zabriski Point, which features songs from various artists. For some strange reason, the director of the film didn't like the music so it wasn't used in the movie. When Dark Side of the Moon came out, the band decided to take the music that was already written and enhanced it with lyrics, saxophone, et cetera. Nick Mason said it's his favourite because it was rejected by Michaelangelo Antonioni.
Lost For Words is a great song off Pink Floyd The Division Bell.
Top man , the comment at the start of us and them you couldn't get any more beautiful than this. Perfect
Continue your journey in the way that makes you happy brain squeeze you reaction and comments are valuable I have great admiration for you and I am now nearly eight years but still love Floyd
There is only a limited amount of time left to commemorate one of the milestones in music history. Soon it will be 50 years behind. The Dark Side Of The Moon (which includes Us And Them too) released on 1 March 1973. Before long, people all over the world discovered that there was something different in this strange album. Madness in its most innocent form or being pushed aside of the struggle for individual existence against the realities of the modern world, or whatever; but pure art overall... Then something even more interesting happened. This has become the best-selling album of all time by a hypercritical psychedelic/progressive rock band that tries to question what's on their minds (DSOTM currently in second place with 50 million copies in 50 years from a little difference from Michael Jackson's Thriller, but I'm sure it will be again at No.1 after another 50 years...) I live in Turkey. Two years later, in 1975, I was 7 years old, and my father and I went to a record store. He was a total vinyl freak, mostly classical music, operas and '50s jazz. He bought some records for himself and showed me one that was on the shelf on the wall. This was Queen's newly released A Night At The Opera album. Then he said, "you can listen to this if you want, actually I'm curious too." It had a very colorful but very complicated album cover which I didn't know what it meant at the time*. Anyway, my eye caught another one standing next to it, looking like a few years old, again very colorful, but it seemed more naked, nominative, and meaningful to me, especially because of that triangle. "I want to hear this," I said. It still is. * Certainly I listened to A Night At The Opera by Queen afterwards. It's a fantastic album and I haven't researched much but I guess cover art contains a kind of satirical art.
Having a great time watching your channel, thanks for the roller coaster ride. Go to bed Mr Hector, there are plenty of tunes from Pink Floyd yet, that will squeeze the space in your brain so hard that it will expand until it bursts into a billion visions a second all spread out and waiting for your visit.

I'm 71 and your reaction to their music is what many of us felt (but weren't as expressive as you) when we first heard their music. Their ability to combine music and lyrics together to create a such magical feeling is just genius. As you mentioned you don't do drugs but we can see the effect it had on you; transporting you to a different level, a higher level which is what great music can do. Any way keep doing these reactions, they're awesome!
Welcome to Pink Floyd Universe, Hector. I’m a 65 years old university teacher/researcher, and Pink Floyd has been the life inspirational fluid of my life since I was 10 years old. Impossible to spend a single day of my life without hearing their music. Please l, give us your reaction to “Atom Heart Mother”, and get ready for the most incredible espiritual journey of your life.
This album is amazing, but to me it became more amazing when I found this remixed into 5.1 surround sound and listening to it in my home theater. It a whole new experience now. You have so much to still hear and I can't wait to see your reaction. Albums to come are The Wall, Division Bell, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, Wish You Were Here, The Endless River and the live albums.....
