Hi Please ignore the moaners. Swearing is a genuine and positive age-old emotional reaction. Not swearing is a negative form of emotional control. A scientific experiment showed that people who chose a swear word, then plunged a hand into freezing water whilst repeating the swear word they had chosen over and over were able to keep that hand in the freezing water longer than those who didn't.

You need to listen to their album "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety, without interruption. It will change your life. After you're done with that, do the same for their album "Wish You Were Here" (this song is on that album). They're meant to be listened to that way because the songs blend into each other and they tell a story. You've just scratched the surface, lots more to come.

Underrated comment!

Cool story behind the album. Syd Barrett was the original founder of the group but went crazy and disappeared for years. They made this record about him and he actually showed up in the studio while they recorded it and it was like old times. Then he left and they didn't see him again for years. Syd is that crazy diamond and they were just letting him know to shine on wherever he was.

I've heard it said many times and will gladly repeat it as often as I can. "You don't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd. You need Pink Floyd to enjoy drugs."

I was a teen when this album came out. We were spoiled by the quality of this group.

Our grandchildren will share this music with their own grandchildren one day. This album is not really Genre or time restrained. This song shows how an empty space on a music sheet can be the perfect fit. This song was once explained to me by a girl who told me... The tension and push and pull of the song is as close to a female orgasm can be explained.

Holy cow. This is a magical and psychedelic journey. I listened to it for the first time when you announced it Hector and I was blown away. What an experience, pure genious

Pink Floyd is legendary, they are an Experience! The album this song is on, "Wish You Were Here" was released in 1975. Pink Floyds' music is as relevant today as it was 47 years ago.

My sensations were same when i heard this one first time. all theyre songs give same feeling. Newer dies ,allways fresh as a slap in face could say . Its in its own gategory.

Probably my favourite song of all time (by anyone). It's just musical excellence at it's very finest. Those four notes by Gilmour on the guitar when the song initially fades down..... those four notes say more than a guitar shredder can do in 200 notes ... and that's Gilmour for you. I love the “Freebird” live video from California in the 70s. That band is from my home town and my neighborhood.

Love watching people discover the best band that ever was or will be. David Gilmour's guitar playing is so emotional. You need to listen to their albums in their entirety to get the true meaning of each album.

Pink Floyd is one of a very few bands that actually produced albums that were what we called back in the day, "concept albums" meaning, you listen to the entire album, in one sitting, because all of Floyds music, tells a story...and when you realize that, and that it translates well today...you'll dig Floyd...I promise

Loads of 1970's (prog) rock bands made concept albums. Genesis, Yes, Camel, The Alan Parsons Project, David Bowie, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, Kansas, The Who. Few did it as good and as successful as Pink Floyd.

That feeling you are talking about is called "Auditory Tactile Synesthesia" and Pink Floyd creates it with almost every song....I would reccomend them doing "Echoes" Live at Pompeii if you get a chance....Where ever life finds you I hope it finds you and those that you love safe and well....AHIMSA!!!!

I see this track as music therapy dedicated to their bandmate that can no longer interact with the human world after an overdose of a hallucination enhancer and never came back... That is why so few lyrics are needed in this track and the lines that stand out for me are ..... '' You reached for the secret too soon.... now you cry to the moon'.. they dedicated so much of their work trying to describe through music their need to understand the why and the where of purpose and destination... abstact as they were with this whole concept... it was genius because it obviously was connecting with the listener to this day as if some interaction with the spirit chained to the soul is being called upon to take notice and release... ;)

There's music and then there's musical masterpieces. Pink Floyd was the masterpieces!

I think that was quite possibly the greatest reaction i have ever seen. The physical shock with every change in the song, absolute gold! Please do Comfortably Numb, but the pulse concert performance from 1994, and On The Turning Away from The Delicate Sound of Thunder concert of 1988. Both of these songs will do wonderfully terrible things to your soul, you will never be the same. And Wish You Were Here, a song that can reduce the strongest of warriors to a blubbering mess, and then they will go back and listen again. Unsurpassed genius.

This absolutely brilliant concept album was made for former original band mate Syd Barrett who had major mental issues from loads of psychedelic drugs and was never the same for the rest of his life. He is the diamond that they hoped would shine again.

David Gilmours guitar is the most emotional in rock history and you should check out a live performance, preferably the Pulse concert - it will blow your mind

Great reaction, mate. There’s a whole other world of music out there where the primary goal of the musicians wasn’t to score a massive hit on pop radio or be loved by the teenybopper crowd. There were many back in the days of Pink Floyd, but also a good number today carrying the torch of making good, original music for the sake of good music and artistic satisfaction.

Aww this song always gets me emotional when the lyrics kick in. Your reaction gave me goosebumps through my tears. I remember my first listen in 1990 aged 14. You've a gift for feeling the music. ❤

And to boot, these lads were probably about your age when they wrote this masterpiece .

Dark Side of the Moon all in one go - its constructed like a symphony and is best heard all in one hit. Its widely regarded as the best rock album ever recorded and was in the US 100 Album chart for a staggering 13 years. It really is a work of genius.

@@brainsqueezereactions Dark Side of the Moon came out in '73. When I graduated high school in '84, the album had been on the charts continuously since its release.. and kept going!! In total so far, it has been on the charts something like 962 weeks.

Absolutely loved your reaction to this brilliant track man ..awesome, and glad you loved it. There are additional parts to this track later in the album. And, most notably, the beautiful thing about this is Pink Floyd has SO MANY other great tracks that will hit you like this one clearly did. I'm 61, Floyd is, was, and always will be my favorite band. Your reaction is priceless (watched it 3 times). Their concerts are as visually appealing as any ever filmed. PULSE AND echoes at Pompeii will do you in.

I don't know how old you are young man but you're a bit older than I was when I first heard this song and album. I was working as a glass collector when I was about 15 in my local pub on a busy Friday night back in 1990 when I first heard this and I just stopped in my tracks because I'd never heard anything like it and the landlady Sheila (God rest her soul) came and tapped me on the shoulder and told me to get on with my job! I used my wages the next day to go and buy the album and listened to it constantly for months because it blew me away so much more than anything else I'd every heard and it's still my favourite album to this day 30 odd years later. You remind me of myself when I first heard it.

The unofficial member of Pink Floyd was the Graphic Artist Storm Thorgerson the man behind all the album art, photography and covers. The exception being The Wall done by the political cartoonist Gerald Scarfe and Rodger Walters. The man on fire in the picture is actually a stunt man on fire they really did this just for a photograph. This song is directly about Syd Barrett the original front man of the band, his downfall and what he was.

Shine On Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX) in some ways is even better. Don't stop now. Great reaction.

My dear friend Pink Floyd is a group that started in London in 1965 that consisted of syd barrett lead whom this song was about eventually suffered severe mental problems through taking the drug of that early period LSD for many years and was sacked by the band and replaced by david gilmour lead singer and lead guitarist drums nick Mason bass roger waters keyboards richard Wright.in my opinion PINK FLOYD are and always will be the greatest progressive rock band in the world.if you want to go down the PINK FLOYD rabbit hole you will end up in a universe of amazing and beautiful music that will blow your mind,the best place to see the band play and hear great songs great guitar solos greatest light show ever is the PULSE CONCERT LIVE AT EARLS COURT LONDON IN 1994 THE SONGS SUCH AS "Comfortably numb" "High Hopes" "Sorrow" "Keep Talking" Coming back to life" One of these days" and many more I could mention.happy listening.👍

I knew it was awesome when I first heard it 40 years ago, but it’s been a joy to be reminded just how generational and special it was. From 64 to 80 was a unique time in a music and I think probably the Western music peak of all time. It was too controlled before that and too co-opted after. But that was a sweet spot and this album is smack dab in the middle of it.

I keep coming back to this reaction. It's incredible to watch that moment when Pink Floyd changes someone's life in an instant like it did mine. No one has been able to put into words that feeling. Your reaction, your face, like wtf?! Fantastic. Hope Roger, Nick or Dave get to see this

I can already imagine that crazy smile that is going to plaster your face when you Watch David Gilmore (who is Pink Floyd) Live at Pompeii, 2016. Try both Fat Old Sun and Coming Back To Life for starters. Cant wait to listen with you.

The most beautiful guitar solo ever recorded. They served the UK well with this one. We have Hendrix in the states, but this shit right here.🤯🤯🤯 You know what? Pro tip: put this on your bedroom playlist and program it to play about 10 minutes into forplay. Your lover will thank me later. 👍👍👍

Top notch reaction, to a top notch song. Quintessential song in their discography. It represents all the best from this band. The outro with the saxophone bass to tenor I believe, kicks it into the stratosphere.
