Haha, well said! From old timer to old timer. I litteraly grew up with this music and had the pleasure to see them live three times including this Pulse version. I truly wish our young people would be able to attend concerts like that because this blew my mind but I'm sure it would blow young people's mind as well. Luckily there's YT nowadays :-)

A time when a performer could walk out on stage dressed in faded jeans and a plain black t-shirt and wow a crowd with their sheer talent. I love watching first time reaction videos to this performance because while they're liking the first part, you're sitting there knowing the second solo is about to kick in and put them on the floor. It's like the first time you see the 2004 Hall of Fame performance of "While My Guitar Gently Sleeps" by Tom Petty and friends, and you're thinking "Hey, really nice performance" and then Prince steps into the light with his red hat and caramel-colored guitar and just melts the place down.

When you get the inevitable requests to do "Time" or "The Great Gig In the Sky" from Pink Floyd's classic "Dark Side of the Moon" album, take 45 minutes out of your day to listen to the whole album in one sitting. If you feel prepared, hearing "Dark Side of The Moon" in one go will be something that can change perception of music, since it is considered the best album of the greatest classical rock band. Back in the day concept albums were pretty comman and the songs are effectively flowing into one another each telling their part of a complete story. In order to shock yourself the most, have the lyrics at hand, since you might ask yourself what the fuss is all about...

  • @oldnick4707

True, and it's reacted to vastly less in this manner. As dark side of the moon seems almost ubiquitous on reaction channels, it's a shame, because it's really meant to be more of just a single song in a way.

I like how she picked up on something people rarely comment on. How the lead guitar rides right on top of that quite substantial bass throughout the solo giving it that much more richer emotional and even a little creepy a sound. The contribution of the bass to this solo cannot be over emphasized imo.Great job!!

I would urge everyone to get out and see as much live music as possible, it's something that you will never forget. I was, probably, in the arena on the night this was filmed and it was one of the best nights of my life. I say probably because this was filmed during a twelve night run at Earls Court in London and I was only there for two of those nights but I like to think this was one of those nights.

Founded in 1960s England. many British bands from that time, like Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Who and Rolling Stones were big fans of old school American black blues. A co-founder, Syd Barrett named the band as a homage to black blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

Pink Floyd was formed in 1965... their (most likely) last album was "The Endless River" in 2014. PF had 15 studio albums... 3 live albums, 9 compilation albums not to mention multiple live dvds and solo albums performed by below members of the band. FYI: The following Pink Floyd albums are Concept Albums (all songs together tell a complete story)... Dark Side Of The Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979); The Final Cut (1983) is a maybe, as it was the last album with Roger Waters being in the band. Syd Barrett (short-lived founder; guitar plus) the originator and quirky eccentric; inevitably the consequential muse. Roger Waters (bass) was the cultivator (seed sower), the lyrically conceptual prodigy, secondary vocal and co-maestro of songwriting David Gilmour (guitar) was the placidity, guitar virtuoso, the silky smooth voice and co-maestro; the equilibrium Richard Wright (keyboards) was the essential underlying symmetry; musical nurturer Nick Mason (drums) was the heartbeat, structure and foundation; the sole member involved from the emergence of PF to the last recording. If you like Pink Floyd as much as it seems, sadly there is only ONE WAY you're going to see their music "live" in concert other than an older dvd... you may wanna check out this current group which excels beyond a tribute band!! The song link below is this exact track you just reacted to... performed by "Brit Floyd". ~ Gilmour himself has said, "If he wanted to see PF live, the only way that could ever happen is see these guys." =>> kzread.info/dash/bejne/imqkpJqzpNDcobQ.html * always listen to Pink Floyd music with headphones or an awesome sounding music system. Ages in 2020: Roger Waters (77 years), David Gilmour (74 years), Nick Mason (76 years) sadly Richard "Rick" Wright (died 2008) and Syd Barrett (died 2006) .

We need great new guitarists for the next generations. Sadly todays music is auto tuned boy bands and bubble gum crap aimed at young teens.

Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Kenny Wayne Shepperd, Eric Johnson... and here's a female Guitarist... Samantha Fish. Joe Bonamassa is a Blues artist, Joe Satriani is a Fusion Rock guitarist, Kenny Wayne Shepperd is Blues and Rock and as a kid he lived down the street from Stevie Ray Vaughan so you'll hear the SRV influence from him, Eric Johnson is Fusion, Blues,Rock and a bit of Country Rock and Samantha Fish is Blues and Rock... I feel you will really enjoy these "New" extremely talented guitarists. There are a lot more... if you just spend the time surfing KZread. Hope you try listening to the artist I named and ... Enjoy! @@wrdlmbrt1956 Thanks but preaching to the choir here. $50K media center is in use most of the day. Know them all. Love Blues and Classic Rock. You probably know Steven Wilson, Guthrie Govan, Darran Charles, Bruce Soord, Matt Bellamy, Heather Gillis, Gary Clark Jr, just a few off my aging brain.

It only takes one song by Pink Floyd to get hooked- recommend album versions of the songs - Time, Wish You Were Here, The Great Gig in the Sky, Us and Them. By the way the band started in 1967 and Comfortably Numb was recorded in 1978 on the Wall album. Also most of their albums are concept albums and the songs have a continued flow into each song before or after it. Great reaction by not pausing every 10 seconds you don’t get the full experience that way. Pink Floyd reactions usually don’t get removed if their not paused- usually...

Cutie pie wish you was still doing reactions I love seeing people enjoying great music as much as I do. My whole family was musicians but saddly there all gone and I had a bad motorcycle accident 4 years crushed my cord hand now I can't play nothing but bar cords I don't want to be that guy. I'm a lead I worked to hard all them years learning. At one point I could play this song note for note with David. But now I do have a nephew I help him on his albums he's on tour now with his band. Surfwax look um up its punk alternative.. he is the lead guitarist and singer. Hes paying his dues it's hard on the road. Club after club. But Im retired and enjoy watching reaction videos from people that enjoys rock music.❤️🤘

One of their best performances of one of the greatest guitar solos ever. This came out on their album The Wall at the same time I saw Zeppelin live at Knebworth...damn, 1979 was a fine year for music, although I had to wait until 1989 to see them do this live as the finale to their UK London concert! Try kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYp2padsl8S0qMY.html (Great Gig In The Sky) for their only use of a female session singer - guaranteed to blow you away with the unbelievable vocals.

The Pulse tour was awesome. I saw them at Earls Court in London on this tour and also at the old Wembley stadium in London another time. As others have said listen to whole albums. Will they tour again? I do not think so even though they could just name their price. Due respect to the entire band and RIP Richard Wright.

Lucky Man lol id have loved to see Pink Floyd live, but i was only 9yrs old in 94, and when later dates came up, for a long time i was in a bit of a bad place with an ex so couldnt, and now alas it couldnt happen again without Richard Wright, not properly anyway. Nick Mason is doing his own thing, and Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters wont talk to each other so i dont think it will happen unfortunately 😕

@@kf8575 Hello. It's possible that Dave Gilmore will tour again and he normally does some Floyd numbers as you probably know to possibly include Comfortably Numb. Also Australian Pink Floyd do a good show including one if I remember correctly Dave Gilmore! Main thing continue to enjoy The Floyd and keep safe in this currently uncertain world!

David Gilmour the guy that sang before each guitar solo is also the guitar player. Anyways, this solo got him the number 1 spot for guitar solos, and players. Not sure if it's changed, but it doesn't really matter because I believe he is one the best guitarist on planet.
