I saw them in Syracuse on this tour. They turned the Carrier Dome into a surround sound oasis. The lights, sounds and set designs are what happens when you say "money is no object" and actually mean it. You should try listening either on a good stereo or with a nice set of headphones.

That song "Wasn't the finale" for the concert. Every song in this entire concert is that amazing! When you go to a Pink Floyd concert you definitely don't want to go with your eyes closed!! Try either the song "Sorrow" or "High Hopes" from the same 94 pulse concert and you'll see! "Run Like Hell" is the final song in the concert!!

I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap frogged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION… I have seen Pink Floyd 4 times. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.

Also, it would have been nice, since you knew the song already Master Lee, to hear more of what Lulu thought! Once you have your shiny new headphones you must listen and react to each song in order on Pink Floyd's amazing album "Dark Side of the Moon"! Best wishes to both of you!!

My dad witnessed this musical miracle at Earls court in London 1994 i was only 10 years old at the time, when he got home a few days later he introduced me to Pink Floyd and ever since i've always loved this band. To this day if anyone asks him what's the best thing that ever happened to him he will refer to this concert. I showed him this vid a few years back he sat in his armchair and cried with a smile. He turned to me and said you best play this exact solo at my funeral when I'm being lowered into the ground 😂

What's the song about? Well first of all the context is the song is on a theatrical album performance that's kind of like a play. They actually made a movie out of it. It's called The Wall. The wall is about the life of the main character. He's a rock star, who's in the middle of a break up with his wife and he's remembering his father who was killed in the service in world war 2. He's very depressed and he's having a mental break down. The movies pretty much about the wall that he built around him self to prevent being damaged.

I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know.

First timer here. Enjoyed your reaction. I always thought the gist of the song was the loss of youthful optimism and becoming numb to the disappointments of life, with the possible aid of drugs & alcohol. It was inspired by Waters' illness, but it's not really about that IMO. It also helps to view it in the context of The Wall album/movie as a whole. "When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone I have become comfortably numb" Also, Our Lips Are Sealed is a GoGos song ; )

Well the truth is Mr. Lee. Is Radio Stations in parts of the U. S. Threatened to not play this song. Because back in 1981 Everyone that was doing Heroine including myself knew what the meaning of this song meant. If you inject Heroine of course you're going to feel a pin prick. But when you do it you're going to feel a little sick. Then when that passes you're ready to go. The wall was a film. If you watch it you'll understand. The record label I do believe told Roger that he had to come up with an alternate meaning so radio stations would not just play this song but a lot of them. You should understand that back in 81 it was a Music Drug Culture. But we've tried to change the culture by hiding the truth to keep present day kids off dope and buy albums. I'm 61 years old and I've been clean for over 30 years. I've loved Pink Floyd all of my life. Hello from Orlando, Florida. 😜🤔🐊🌞🌴😎

Thanks for doing this video. This was back when music was made by true musicians and artists. The stuff out there now has now soul or heart. Its all electronic noise made on a computer. Young people today I feel so bad for because they really have no real music to listen to. I was born in the 50s and growing up in the 60s and 70s I went to hundreds of concerts. In my 50s I roadied and was a guitar tech for a band and saw many lesser known bands but there is nothing like live music. Support live music venues in your area and support local musicians.

You need to understand Australian Humour, we deliberately sometimes change lyrics to suit ourselves. Our Lips are Sealed (was when the band was the GO GOs).@ Festival Hall Melbourne, most of the crowd were singing our version of the lyrics. Try finding "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again" : The Angels Live Melbourne 1988. it was originally about the death of a friend - listen to the audience response to the question as sung by the band. In the end they promoted it with t-shirt sales!! John - Melbourne.

A little story for you. So, one day as I was driving along to a luxurious restaurant that I was taking a beautiful woman on our first date, I played this song for her. But after listening to it, she turned to me with a bewildered look and asked, "You actually like that song?" That is when I slowly pulled over to the side of the road and came to a stop. I took a deep breath. I gently grabbed my door handle and opened my door. I made my way over to her side of the vehicle and kindly opened her door for her. I then nicely said, "Peace Out Girl!!!" I'm still single to this day. 🤔

Just a thought…instead of being all dewy eyed and star crossed try watching The Wall in the first place to give you an idea of the song. It’s not necessarily a comfortable place to think about.

90% of people listing to comfortably numb are quite sure what it means. They’ve listened to it a million times. I noticed this video has 5X more views than most of your videos. Telling?!?!🤔❤

Oh, it isn't about drugs, but it is about a 'medication' that made him "Comfortably Numb"... 😉😆

The song was inspired by Roger Waters falling ill on tour and being given medicine by a doctor so he could play on stage but it had a side-effect of making his hands swell and go numb making it hard to play bass guitar.

Nemo, I stand corrected but I believe it was about Syd Barrett and his acid trips which ultimately killed him, R. I. P. SYD🌹🌹🌹

You don't really believe that explaination, do you? Pay more attention and you'll know that it is about drugs and only partially about this fever and sickness. Yes, you're correct in that he at one point speaks to his fever as a young boy... But nest you here the doctor giving him aq shot, to keep him going through the show. "Relax, just a little pin prick and there will be no more... AHhha, but you may feel a little sick." Then the doctor says Good that'll keep youy going through thje Show, C'mon it's time to go. And it all contimues from there... so purhaps time to give that a second thought? Enjoy and be well you two... Oh and it is the second guitar solo that is legendary...
