Listening with only one ear will never give you the Pink Floyd experience. It takes ALL of your senses.

I was thinking the same. I mean the same goes for any music. You are literally missing some of the mix. All music is mixed in stereo with instruments off center to broaden the sound stage.

@@Justin-td4bb When i was young, i was happy to hear something in mono. Now i listen to 5 speakers and a subwoofer.

Mono went obsolete very quickly more than 50 years ago for very good reasons.

Just adding to the other comments about listening with both ears..... Pink Floyd do record in full studio. Not only does the music move through the sound scape from left to right, or vice versa, and sometimes around in a circle..... They often have different instruments playing different music on both sides.....sometimes this music is stand alone, and sometimes it mixes into the intended melody. You are not only listening to half the arrangement, you are also only hearing a bit more than half of the written music, and sometimes not all the vocals.

@@puarterquonder yeah same. I would even say that listening with one ear or through a single speaker is okay, if you have your output set to mono. Which he almost certainly hasn't
You have just watched and heard the greatest live guitar solo in music history.
One ear bud? This isn’t 1957. The Pink Floyd requires headphones. It’s like seeing a Michelangelo sculpture with welder’s glasses on.
The whole Pulse Concert is a life-changer!!

100 agree. It's big right? (it's funny with reactions. there's something about this song that begs to be listened to in a room by yourself) I always ask reactors if they're different now that they've experienced it, but you can tell by their faces.

For maximum listening experience, please consider using BOTH earbuds, or a good headphone set. It is essential to hear both channels of the music.
It never ceases to amaze me that people are shocked to see that bands can actually play their instruments and sing without the aid of computers and autotune. This is how artists became great years ago. I've been a rock drummer for over 50 years and the only way you got a following is by mastering your instrument and constantly rehearsing until it was second nature. unfortunately we're now subjected to the tedious repetition of meaningless artificial dross that's being pumped out which will never stand the test of time. You guys should react to "The great gig in the sky" from the same concert. see what the backing vocalists can do.
I saw the Pulse concert in Earlscourt, London in 1994 and I was completely blown away but you also have to hear him play Comfortably Numb in Pompeii in 2016 when he was 70 YEARS OLD - IT IS TRULY MAGNIFICANT
This concert is my favorite to watch peoples reactions. Their facial expressions and body language change throughout. I love it!!
I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd twice in concert, and both shows were a feast for the ears and the eyes. Guitars want David Gilmour for Christmas.

Guys, you need to get two good earphones, and run to listen "the great gig in the sky" from Pink Floyd. It's breathtaking. Cheers!
So glad you're listening to Floyd - They are an experience - an amazing band. You have to listen to more from this concert - "Sorrow" is just one on many greats, but what a performance! - you mentioned watching all these players so in sync with each other - in "Sorrow", it almost brings you to tears, how these members (and the backup singers) are firing on all cylinders - don't miss it! There are many others, not to mention experiencing their studio albums - masterpieces! Also remember, this concert was in '94 - almost thirty years after Floyd originally formed, and they're still playing with so much energy, focus and talent! You will not regret discovering this band!
shine on you crazy diamond , sorrow, wish you were here, run like hell , coming back to life. from the pulse concert if you want to hear them live , . I've been a Floyd fan since the 70's and hearing your comment regarding the talent of musicians then compared to now especially from the younger generation as yourself warms my heart .Enjoy your journey into FLOYD
Take it from a 66yrs old dude, they been a companion trough life
Loved it! Try On The Turning Away live from The Delicate Sound of Thunder tour 1988. Absolutely astounding. Best band ever.
Now you are ready for "High Hopes" from the same concert. Thank you for the reaction!!
you asked for suggestions pink floyd the best live band ever pulse concert run like hell great gig in the sky and high hopes they will blow you away i should know i was there weeping my heart out
Watch Run Like Hell from the Pulse concert, blow your mind with the lights… brings back so many memories for me as I was there at Earl’s Court.
Any song from the Live Pulse Concert, you’ll be amazed! Pink Floyd ☝️
I still feel like the sphere opening up there towards the end of the song is symbolic of a poppy flower....offering it's 'medicine'
Are you listening with only one earbud? Music appreciation isn't this generation's forte is it.

Also, they only get to experience digital recordings, that cannot reproduce the frequencies that vinyl can. The industry is producing an inferior product because it’s cheaper.
I was there , never forget it, amazing.
Great commentary/reaction…thanks to reaction videos like yours, I’ve learned that Pink Floyd was ahead of their time and their music is an experience that transcends the mind…😎✌️
best song ever best performance ever
Great reaction, and to blow your mind even more, if you look close - almost no ear pieces (other than Nick, the drummer). They used just straight up stage monitors there to hear themselves, and they had to keep time to each other, individually. No click track stuff back then. Just all those guys, top musicians in their day, playing together, and even more, off each other - Dave holding those notes to *just* before Nick would bring down the crash, and letting it meld together seamlessly. Just amazing.
This concert (Pulse) demonstrates their skils at the top of their game. The staging and lighting ALONE cost 25 million--in 1994. The band from the start was equally focused on what they composed and how their music was performed. It was designed to be an immersive experience. You could do an entire series on the different tunes from the Pulse concert--and you would be confounded at each individual performance. Enjoy the ride.
Thank you for not stopping during the video.. love it
If you want to stay with the live recordings, Learning To Fly, Keep Talking, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, High Hopes, Run Like Hell, One Of These Days, Another Brick In the Wall part 2. All from the PULSE remastered and re-edited version

Everytime i see this i can't help but pick myself out.. i was on Laughing Sam's Dice that night
My first floyd concert was 1969!!!! They are the soundtrack of my life. For a totally different taste of Floyd listen to Grandchester Meadows from the Umagumma album❤
You guys did one of the best reactions I’ve ever seen to this video. Everyone is new to a song the first time they hear it. Wonderful.
"sorrow", "keep Talking", "high Hopes" from the same Pulse concert and please get either headphones each or really good speakers. I was at Earls Court in 94 and I remember it being great but its not until recently I realise how great it really was, as we took it pretty much for granted in those days......
Best Band Ever
The crazy thing is there is over a minute or so cut out of the second guitar solo 'for tv' due to how long it was. There is a video kicking around on YT where you get to hear the full solo. I must admit though, they did a good job of 'cutting and shutting'. The cut is somewhere around 8:20 in this video.
Welcome to the Club! I saw this Tour @ Indy in '94 and seen this Video a thousand times, it never gets old. I wish I could say that about myself :-) David Gilmore has new music out and is going to Tour with it...
i was fortunate to have seen this before pulse was recorded in their AMLOR album-tour. PF and Genesis the same year months apart and i will never forget that.
Congratulations! You discovered about 40% of the song. Put in the other earbud and discover the other 60% and stereo sound.
For me it doesn't get better than Pink Floyd, except for maybe Pink Floyd live. This whole concert is amazing and you can't go wrong no matter what you choose. A few of my favorites are Sorrow, One of These Days, and Great Gig in the Sky. You'll probably get suggestions for Echoes, and even though all the versions out there are great, the studio version is the best of them. It's a masterpiece. Truthfully, anything from Wish You Were Here through The Division Bell is going to hit you in that special Pink Floyd place.🖖🏽💗🤘🏽
If you appreciate the Technical aspect of their music, you have to listen to Dark Side of the Moon. They made this album in 1972 . The sounds had to be created, taped, spliced & looped. The album was way before it’s time. It was on the top 100 albums of all time for over 19 years!! It’s a must to listen to in its entirety as all the songs lead into the next. It’s very chill. Great reaction!!
Epic performance Live.Pulse show👏👏👏
High Hopes, Keep Talking & GreatGig in the Sky from the Pulse Tour are great also.
I'm sorry I'm not a pay per view listener. I just found your channel today. But another great live video to react to is "people get ready" by Darrell Mansfield. He is a great blues singer and harmonica player. Another great live song by him is "stand by me". I hope you do those reactions. You will not be disappointed.
Yep - The Masters at work.
More Pink Floyd! High Hopes😊.
Their faces will be a picture when they react to "The Great Gig in the Sky" from the same Pulse concert. Especially the rapper...buckle up son, because talent is IN the house ;)
From the same Pulse collection, please check out SORROW, and also RUN LIKE HELL.
Those spinning speakers on the stage created waves of music to increase the effects from the words about "coming to me in waves" as he says. Cool effect for an arena.
Good stereo headphones are a must!
I saw this show three months after this was recorded. It was amazing in person.
Great reaction. I would definately suggest 'Run Like Hell' from the Pulse concert.
As an old timer I pray for the end of Hip Hop and Rap so we can all get back yo enjoying some real music. A must to watch for a world great guitar solo is "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits at the Alchemy Concert at the Hammersmith Odeon. Thanks guys.

Dude don't be that guy, I'm also older ,though I did really enjoy early hip hop such as Public Enemy and De La Soul, and I also find much modern music tedious but do we really search about amongst all new music, because surely there will be quality new music, we just never hear it

@@swfcocs1 Wow, I am way older. Bring back the Jitterbug.
October 20th 1994 at earls court London England. 75 thousand people in attendance.i was at this concert. Please react to the great gig in the sky at this concert. It will without a doubt blow your mind. It brought down the house. I love your reaction keep them coming.
A few things to acknowledge here this group has been performing since the mid-60s and they have stood the test of time from this same concert there is a song called. High hopes David does a solo on the steel guitar also known as a lap guitar I assure you he will be completely blown away from that performance
I recommend you react to "LEARNING TO FLY"and "ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" as soon as possible while the magic is still fresh. From the very same PULSE CONCERT.
Speechless is pretty much a universal response to a first experience of Pink Floyd. "Sorrow". "Us and them". Or "Learning to Fly" are just a few of good next reactions. Thanks for the reaction. My first here. Subscribing.
Baby Baby it s the Guitar Man
I was at that concert. By the time they got to this song, they had been playing for 2 hours and 15 minutes - this was their 2nd encore. You really should watch the whole concert in ONE go, in a darkened room with drink and nibbles of choice. You won't regret it. Also, might I suggest you invest in a decent pair of headphones EACH those bud things just do not give just to ANY kind of music.
I wish i could be new to Pink Floyd, discovering greatness is a one way-road. Saw this concert in Gothenburg -94, abit bummed i missed the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour though. My father was there but he thought i was too young, f*cking idiot.
All the people complaining about them only having 1 ear bud, please consider maybe at the time of filming they couldn’t afford 2 sets! Times are tough not everyone can have everything!!!
Next, you guys need to see (and hear) Pink Floyd doing "Echoes" live at Pompeii, 1971 (released in '72). It's brilliant.
If you want to see the guys "back in the day" playing live in an ancient Roman Amphitheatre with No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1) live at Pompeii 1972 be sure to select PART 1 Only for a reaction video
The whole pulse concert is fire !!! Arguably one of the best guitar solos of all time. They are all excellent musicians. Same concert: SORROW, KEEP TALKING, RUN LIKE HELL
Fortunate enough to have seen them in Dallas & SanFran 45-50 friggin yrs ago. The closest I've ever come to an LSD trip without LSD😂😂😂
Greatest band in history past, present and future. They were 40 yrs ahead of their time. David Gilmour greatest guitarist past, present of future. Gilmour 1st daylight 2nd
I lost a job back in the day because I bugged out to go to a Pink Floyd concert. It was worth it. I never had a chance to see them again.
Great Reaction! Watch Sorrow or Time or Keep Talking from pulse concert
Creativity off the charts, musical ability off the charts, always at the forefront of technical innovation, Pink Floyd are one of the '1970's bands from England that are totally original and unique with their sound. "Keep Talking" from this concert is a personal favourite. If you want to expand on this type of experience try "Yours is no Disgrace" by the band "YES" (studio version) or "In the Cave/Afterglow" LIVE by the group "Genesis". The genre is called "Progressive Rock" because we had never heard anything like it before, ever. Happy Trails...
The perfect follow up is On The Turning Away DSOT 2019 Remastered.

"Amazing" ....that's exactly what I thought.

If you're gonna bop your head, at least do it to the beat? And just buy two sets of wired headphones and Y it maybe? How do you expect to react to good music, or bad music without having both left and right channels? A statement of intent is already showing, therefore you get down voted and I won't watch anything you two put up ever again. Cheers!
