I've always thought the same thing. Seemed rather young at the time of writing it to have that look-back perspective on life. And yes, the older you get, the more meaning it has.

At the moment you are young and life is long. Listen again in ten years. The lyrics take on a more profound meaning as time passes you by.

I don't think so. I heard the song first as a young teenager, now decades later it still remains exactly the same. As it was then, so it is now, and nothing about the nature of time has changed since then.

The earth's trip around the sun "comes up behind me again" quicker and quicker each year. It's INSANE, those of us over 40 all agree. I'm 53, feel 33 and wonder, "What the hell is going on here?" This song gains more and more meaning and emotional connection with me every year. Hey, all over 40... as tough as aging is to wrap our heads around, it beats the alternative! Let's keep aging, right?! :o)

This album is meant to be listened to as one song...it tells the story of life and different elements of life. You would enjoy the album...just put it on and let it play.

The song is about how time flies by and how when you look back and think we're as all of it gone

Not an insult at all. This song was lost on me at that age, too. I thought it was cool, indeed, but the emotional impact of the lyrics means so much more when you've put in a few years at the bank of LIFE.
