Russell is a fucking legend. An incredible, amorphous human being. He gives more than he gets from his popularity. The rose jowled, chinless, entitled, talentless Piers Morgan that requires canned laughter to endear his television audience and now resorts to hit pieces on a high profile woman who rejected his affection and easy attacks on open targets is an absolute dulard entirely self absorbed with bitterness that gropes around for vicarious attention.

Watching interviews of him from his earlier life he gives off this vibe that he always have to prove himself in some way (at least to me he does). His energy today feels a lot more grounded and calm. Sometimes I can see him slipping back into his old persona momentarily, but he seems a lot more self aware today. Maybe that's just a part of aging, but I think he's put a lot of effort into working on himself.

Russell Brand is a great example of how one can overcome adversity. He's honest about the negative side of himself, which is unusual in any period of human history, aye he's made mistakes who hasn't?? I didn't like him at all until recently yet I admire his wit, his charm, and I, who have been addicted to heroin and a multitude of other things to try ease the pain of not having a clue, being a nutter know how easy it would have been for him to give up not go to rehab. I believe those of you who r critical of him, r either envious or more likely u see something in him that u don't like about urself.

Cynical as I am, many a person has had addictions in various ways and recovered? But while I know humour is subjective, I feel his hypo activity and ego manic behaviour is all a reflection of still hiding behind a deep insecurity, I didn't recall that many prominent celebrities spreading compliments? I GUESS he's made a few bob , but he lost rather a lot on heavy dude drugs ! Not the most impressive guest on piers Morgan show:Would love a Robin Day interviewing him in his day ??

So love you, R.B. Anyone that could tame, entertain, make laugh and subdue to a thankful smile, the likes of Mr. Morgan, is one extremely talented 'bloke' Your lovely sincerity, along w/such a quick-wittedness that nails all to the wall, is very much appreciated. Plz live a long happy, relaxed life; you"ve already made this world a better place for your being here.

When I first seen him I was like “who is this idiot???” He just kept showing up on various tv things and I didn’t find him funny but after seeing him in Bedtime Stories and Rock of Ages he was actually a pretty good actor. After seeing him here I saw a completely different side to him. Very down to earth, eccentric but yet completely down to earth and very intelligent.

Its horrible how they make a guilt fest out of his mistakes. Really push the "shame cone" on his head. When he was a fatherless boy with a mother battling cancer. Have some empathy, will you?

Not really a guilt fest, more of a matter of fact open discussion of his life. He was an addict for years, chap doesn't seem shameful nor should he be. I'm glad he survived it all.

Like every Comedian, Russell is extremely bright and so very knowledgeable. I believe A lot of people who become Addicts are trying to self medicate some type of pain. Whether this is true or not in Russell Brands case, Kudos to Him for beating Sex, Drugs and Alcohol Abuse/Addiction while still making people laugh and love Him throughout the world. Russell Brand is A One Man Show, Very Funny, Painfully Honest and Extremely Articulate. I Miss watching Him on T.V. Wish He had A talk show where He was doing the interviewing. That would be T.V Gold.

Oh man, Fawlty Towers was one of the funniest series that I saw while I was in Australia years ago. It was one of the funniest 'sitcoms' that I've ever watched, very clever and punny and just laugh out loud funny. I would love to see one on American TV.

Awesome Piers! It worked...you have completely worked Russell as a tool. Don't move on and let him be the person he is and the genius he can relate. I am so happy your closets are empty and clean. Just keep up the good work with your journeyman level technique of hiding the best in people. I'm so glad you didn't allow him to teach anyone anything. Time well spent for me...wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Really liked him on BBLB, grew to dislike his 'persona' (Russell Brand on steroids?) but his new KZread videos are excellent, and he's far more down to earth and approachable. I hope he continues to feel comfortably zen by just being unaffected RB. I'm sure he's a really lovely man and opening that up to KZread viewers can't be easy, so take care Russell and stay safe.
