George at 10:57 talking about the death threats he received before a concert in Louisiana, where people said they'd shoot him. George said, "I thought, "I can't cancel the gig..." and "there was quite good security, I had a bullet-proof vest--and I moved around quick". That sums up the core of Boy George. He's a tough bastard, and oh-so-talented. We are lucky to have him all these years. A true icon and trailblazer.

The most profound interview I have ever seen with George. Piers tactfully discussed negative aspects of George's life without it turning ugly or being rude or disrespectful. As a result, he got more out of George and this made for a more entertaining interview. Very professional and skilled. It's a shame Michael, Roy and Jon never seem to be interviewed at length.

I loved Boy George at first sight, thought he was beautiful, boy or girl. I loved his voice and his music (bought the CDs). Then brokenhearted about his troubles, but I knew then he'd overcome it all. I felt connected to him, so seeing him well and BACK, I'm happy, a prayer realized. Love you from the USA and so impressed with all you've accomplished. Just happy you're back to us.

Back in the early days of MTV (with music videos) I was watching Karma Chameleon one afternoon and my dad walked into the room, watched for about a minute and then said "She's a really good singer." I told him it was a guy, but he refused to believe it. I said his name was Boy George and my dad walked off with a completely confused look. I never once thought he was a woman - just a guy who liked to wear makeup and eccentric clothing. Been a fan since Culture Club first appeared - Love Boy George and could listen to him talk all day.
