He entered his solo carreer in the best way possible with this hit, and still to this day, it has it's effects, and goes well. This has to be the crown to Phil's work and tracks, a masterpiece, and you literally can't be a Phil Collins Fan, or a Rock N Roll fan, without knowing or liking this hit. The lyrics, and instrumental plus emotion in this track can't be matched, heard and used around the world in movies, games, shows and dominating the radio. All the best Phil, A True One of a kind. Phil Collins is one of the most famouse musicians in the whole world. This song is one of our favourites. I love to listen it.
for those who don't know Phil wrote this song while he was going through a divorce and the feelings he had when he wrote the song were with lot of anger, a lot of despair and a lot of frustration and the lyrics came to him spontaneously
05:35 I've seen many videos of this song, all are amazing, and all feature this sequence towards the end. And I still have no idea how he manages something that complex with such precision and power. It's mind blowing.

That type of energy -singing and drumming at the same time - is incredible!
So many reaction vids of this song, and they're the wrong concert. THIS is the best live version. Perkins Palace is a close second. This singing and drumming is waaaaay better.

I was surprised. This is the same audio they used in GTA Vice City Stories, definitely one of my favorite crossovers i gaming and music 😊 🎶
This song means a lot to me. My father and I bonded over this song when he first played it to me on a dvd of "live and loose in Paris". I was 8 at the time I think and since then, i've become much more of a fan to Phil's music. Still listning with my father. Now i'm 26 and i can't wait untill New years eve. Every year a radio station puts together the top 2000 best songs of all time. "In the air tonight" is ALWAYS in the top 50. When it comes up. My dad and I put the speakers on "concert mode" and just drum along on the tables when te drop comes. Along with anyone who is nearby (because they have no other choise This is a memory I Will always treasure and it is thanks tot this song.

Я очень благодарен Rockstar Games за то, что познакомили меня с Филом через GTA Vice City Stories. Он там был полноценным персонажем и там была миссия с его концертом и они использовали именно этот лайв в качестве аудио составляющей. Это была незабываемая миссия.

That song carries strong meanings for me.. I witnessed a crime in the service and filed a complaint. My superiors used me as bait so they could press heavier charges. They came at me in the quansite hut where I slept At first they said they were too drunk to have done anything. I disputed their story. The song's words matched the dialogue in that hut. It ended 4 months later, but the song remains with memories of the Viet Nam war,
