Wow, you talk about taking a lemon and turning it into lemonade! I've been following this ever since you bought that truck. I remember it looked like it was worked hard, but with some blood, sweat, and cuss words I'm sure, you have turned the old girl into a really good-looking and reliable ride. Great work Ezra and thanks for taking us along on this journey. I can't get over how quiet the cab is now since the sound deadener. I've driving trucks of that vintage and they aren't that quiet. Heck, I don't remember what radio you put in her but she sounds quiet enough for one of those Bluetooth stereos to link your phone to.

Ez, you have a great channel with a lot of content that has real world applications for the working man. When you mentioned that the PTO you were installing didn't require the truck to be stationary when engaged brought back a memory of when I was a city police officer back in the 70's. It was going on 7:00 a.m., and I got on the interstate heading back to the station when I came upon a horrific accident, one I've never forgotten. Two young men who had just gotten breakfast at MacDonald's were also traveling west on the interstate in a work van at the same time a semi truck hauling a long bed dump trailer was heading east on the other side. Because there were several exits off the interstate there was a structure that held the informational signs that stretched all the way across the interstate. We've all seen them but probably haven't paid them much attention. Right before that truck got to that sign bridge at a speed of approximately 60 miles per hour, the PTO engaged somehow and that trailer lifted up and caught that sign bridge and pulled it over right as that work van was coming up to it. The top of that sign bridge landed right on top of the van. I pulled up behind the van and ran to the passenger side and looked in to see if I could help them. As I looked in the cab of the van I could see both of the guys had a moment to react and had bent forward out of reflex and the top rail of that sign bridge had smashed the cab and was laying right across their backs. They were killed instantly, Strangely at the same time as I saw them, I noticed the coffee they had bought just a few minutes before was in the cup holders and was still steaming. The truck driver was in shock and I image he never got over what was a freak accident, one that no one could have imagined let alone predicted. I'm 70 years old now and I know I have never forgotten it. Anyway, when you mentioned that about your PTO, I immediately was taken back to that morning in my mind. I enjoy your channel. Thank you.

Just found your channel last week and binge watched until I caught up. I’m older and spent my younger years working on trucks like your restoring. I really appreciate what your doing and also want to complement your work. You are quite the mechanic for someone that claims not to be. Working alone I find that using guide bolts will help you handle the weight and align things more easily. Just cut the heads off and grind a taper on whatever size you need. Flywheels, transmissions, and heavy awkward brackets will give you less of a fit. Thanks again for the great videos!!!
