I think you are right to use the word "evolve". We have an increasingly obvious mission to realize our full levels of compassion and empathy over self or all else -for each other and the planet. I think we were put here as stewards of this technological masterpiece we call the planet and everything on it. We can see every piece has it's place and we can also see how different we are from all of it. How advanced and special we are compared to even the most extraordinary creature below us. What we can't seem to see is how we fit into this overall design. I think it's obvious where we fit in and what our responsibility is here on this planet. We can either continue this course and be a cancer which will eventually be eliminated - or we take the helm and be the final complimentary piece of this system to insure the health and success of everything we are a part of. To make even one more weapon is to step again in the wrong direction. That's so obviously not part of the design we are a component of. We must use our brains now to figure out exactly what our part in this world was designed to be. Everything has a role and a specific function - ours is much more complex than that of the Bee but I see it clear as day. We are the caretaker - the final piece in the greatest of designs.

The original interview was pretty good for Rogan's standard although his rants about hippie pussy and solar domes were just unbearably stupid at times. You could see in Joseph's face what he really thought of Joe back then but he just went along for the sake of it.

WE are damaged from abuse and negligence; we cannot stop failing ourselves and young children we now abuse and damage. We are just as bad as anyone we criticize, grossly delusional to the ugly truths of ourselves and humanity, and actually fall short of all the things we think we are good at, besides being good at making a mess. I am shocked cryptocurrency is not mentioned in any of this talks. I learned about from his videos like a decade ago, but man its 2020, get newer sources and draw connections to digital currency which is the biggest elephant in the room. If this is the first time Peter hit a light bulb moment with crypto then I hope this plants a seed to incorporate this very very broad topic for solutions, discussions. 10 years behind catch up Peter! Also there is science and there is also the power of meditation which isn't discussed either... I should do some podcasts

Stop making a competition of that, there is no copying but building on something someone else made, everyone who every developed anything should know this, this is how evolution works, the father shows his son how to do, the son questions, makes it better, teaches his son when he becomes the father and so on. Peter and Jacques are about the same.

Not only that, but the belief that the utopic social system you propose its also justified as "necessary" for survival. I know it sounds "scientific", but how much of it would you say is resentment and naive revolt? How much is mesia complex? Heh? Rejected by the "social structure" and now going for the "we need to rethink everything" mantra... and guess what, I also know how (or at least can lead the way). Come on man, thats such a clique its pathetic. Its almost, dare I say...childish. There is a saying: If you try to avoid suffering you will end up suffering more than it was necessary. If people would have listened to Malthus in the 18 century and start controlling population growth to prevent future suffering, we would have lost a great deal and suffered even more. We know that now because we know Malthus was dead wrong. Malthus had an excuse though, he was limited by the times, but we should know better.

Andrew OlIie. Pouring billions of tons of plastic and chemical pollution into the oceans is scientifically proven to be bad for nature and brings humanity suffering. Cutting the forests down is hurting nature and humanity, according to our best science. Replacing the wild animals with billions of cows, pigs and chickens is ultimately going to bring about our destruction. Please point me towards evidence to the contrary and I will reconsider my position.

No, no...not you...sorry... I was referring to Peter Joseph (or the type of thinking that he represents). It was a misunderstanding. I follow Peter Joseph to a certain degree I and I can say that I know his view of the world. I was on board with him at one point in my life. Then I discovered that I had daddy issues all this time:)).

Science proves the universe is eternal and conscious, you are the consciousness of the universe, life is your purpose, a system designed to exploit and ultimately destroy life has become part of your identity and who you are, this means challenging the system is challenging you, this is a problem.

@@jkq311 UBI would just be one of the stepping stones between where we are now and true civilization. Just as capitalism is in our evolutionary progress. Capitalism brought us mass production, without which we wouldn't have computers and the internet with which has enabled the extended human family to re-connect and move forwards reuniting as we enter the Age of Aquarius. The big question is can we get there before we destroy our climate and hence ourselves?

A lot of dogging on capitalism, but what are the alternatives? Communism? Socialism? Dictatorship? Divine Right? Anarchy? This videos started by saying we're centuries behind socially, but centuries behind who or what? Abstaction without a grounding in reality works only in idealism, which is to say it doesn't. Every person on the planet wants the best for themselves and their loved ones, and that inevitably leads to inequality of wealth. There is no equality of effort or opportunity, because the former depends on the individual, the latter depends on environmental interactions. You don't get a job if you don't apply for it, and a stranger you've never met isn't going to think of you if they need something or want to give something away. Equality could only exist if the entire population were in superpoition, all having the same knowledge and physical and mental attributes.

@@kyleeaton2717 No thanks, not down with the Zeitgeist. A lot of honest people base their life on the dignity of work and providing for their family. When you take work out of the equation, it's just people expecting all their needs to be met by someone else. The idea that people deserve what they work for has been there since the beginning of recorded history, It all ties to the concept of what a right is, and what cannot be a right. Your rights can't confer a responsibility upon anyone else. E.g. you can't have a right to free health care because that would mean a doctor that paid for 12 years of school would have to treat you for free. Doesn't work if government pays either, means it comes from taxes, and others are paying for you still. Fair trade is even in the animal kingdom, no such thing as something for nothing. That's a pipe dream.

@@IsaacGerken Federal spending in the US is not funded by taxation. There are many interviews, lectures, presentations, discussions, and debates on KZread regarding MMT you can watch to learn more about this. Look up Stephanie Kelton who has been doing a lot of interviews for her new book "The Deficit Myth" for brief introductions to the concepts/implications of MMT. I've watched quite a few of them, and each one can offer more insight as the focus of the interviewer's questions can generate a different perspective on how it applies to different issues.

@@loganquinn9452 No such thing as a free lunch, someone always has to pay. People that work hard and succeed are happy with capitalism, you multiply effort, you multiply outcome. It's always those expecting the free lunch that don't like the system. They either don't multiply their effort or they make some poor choices and get in a bind that presents difficult obstacles. I'm not wealthy by any means, but I understand that there is never equality of effort, ergo never equality of opportunity, bc opportunity comes from effort, if you aren't going to places to look for opportunities, you won't find them. No equality of opportunity and effort means there can't be an equality of outcome. There will always be wealth disparities, the key is making laws against dishonorably gaining wealth that are prosecuted. If government officials give exclusive government contracts to family members, they should be prosecuted. Car salesmen shouldn't be able to sell you a lemon, same goes for other purchases. For those that find themselves falling behind, the government has help for them. If the plan is socialism or UBI, if property and wealth is a matter of government distribution, respect for O.P.P. will disappear. No one worked for that, someone gave them that, but they didn't give me that. That's not fair, I want that. When no one has to earn what they get, personal property really doesn't have any meaning. And that's the point. Only those handing out the property have any real control of it, it leaves them very powerful, the giver of life to the serfs. No thanks, I'll work for mine and expect others to do the same.
