Watching Trump stir up distrust in the news, law enforcement; and how he is covering for white supremacists and now supporting the qanon gambit, we should all be very concerned about him and the nation.

We absolutely MUST focus on reducing the heat in our atmosphere - the polar caps are melting - and that ancient ice is releasing methane and other gases into the air and water--our planet is in dire trouble - and that means we are ALL in dire trouble. We need to quite fooling around, and start demanding our president and all our world leaders to deal with this terrible climate catastrophe that is killing all the bees (the bees are what pollinate our wheat, our rice, and all our vegetables -- and the waters are rising in the Atlantic and the Pacific. We don't like thinking about these things. We've got an idiot in the White House right now who is too self-absorbed and too mentally crippled to deal with these issues... the death of the bees is terrifying. We are running out of time, space, and working ideas! We gotta get a move on here!

Before the Berlin wall came down both East (DDR) and West Germany (BDR) used the term 'democratic' in their title. There's an old story that someone escaping from Communist East to the West was greeted by the words, "Welcome to Democracy," to which he replied "Not democracy, I've just escaped from that".

No kidding! We have devolved into a nation that has replaced Jesus (the way, the truth & the life) that's now a nation that says, "There's no such thing as truth, only perception". So...heck...g'head & just make up whatever you want truth to be to make you comfy- that's what is is. So how is democracy defined TRUTHFULLY? We'd have to agree on the definition of truth before we could define democracy, or anything else for that matter, don'tcha think? 🤷. I'll stick with the only one who created me & can save me.

The expectations of finding solutions for social problems in an individual leader is a double edged sword +/-. Concepts distributed to all individuals motivate change, so leadership is salesmanship, and the mechanism for distribution of the concepts has accelerated +/-, and so change is more volatile.

I'm a Democrat, but I have always liked Gergen. He is very sharp. For a Republican, he is very hard on Republicans. The Gerrymandering. The ways in which the system is rigged. Special interests. Campaign money. The worldwide move towards authoritarianism. The polarization. The rise of the Millennials. Attacks on journalism and the intelligence community. He tells it like it is. I can't stand Trump, but Gergen is right when he notes that we need to understand the perspective of Trump supporters. " We need to remember the values that we hold dear-that have held us together." Good stuff.

We made it through the great depression BECAUSE OF WW2. Fighting the war, America launched the largest program for mass production the world had ever seen. We supplied tanks, truck, and munitions to enable the French resistance and to supply England and Russia. When the war was over, all European countries were piles of rubble with Germany essentially a gravel pit. With America virtually unblemished our manufacturing and infrastructure was in-tact and primmed to supply post-war goods. The post-war economy increased our GDP and the average American wage skyrockets 70 percent higher than pre-war! Add this to the billions of dollars owed to America by our allies with interest, we basically offered vast war supplies, and even financed them with interest. So, overcoming the great depression?

David Gergen, I'm sitting here in tears longing for the unity in Congress from years past. Please , bring your Commonwealth Club conversation to the general public, prime time , Sunday morning. I doubted the young people of this generation as totally uninformed politically, until I worked with a group endorsing Hillary. I have great hope now. Thank you, too David, for clear sighted observations of America's, and the world's, threats against democracy. And also for some hope, coming from this generation.

01:00:35 "In conversation, Myra Kraft is remarkably direct about a variety of subjects - her wealth, the Middle East, Boston, and even her version of how Vladimir Putin wound up with one of her husband's diamond-studded Super Bowl rings. Putin caused a bit of an international stir by walking off with the ring, and Bob Kraft defused the controversy by claiming he had given away the ring, but the story was hard to believe. So I asked what really happened. As Kraft tells it, she and her husband were in St. Petersburg with Sandy Weill, then the chairman of Citigroup Inc., their "good friend" the media mogul Rupert Murdoch, an oil executive, and a physician. That group, all except for Kraft, met at Konstantinovsky Palace with the Russian president, and when she next saw her husband in their hotel room, he confessed he had a problem. "They were getting up for formal pictures, and Sandy said to Robert, 'Why don't you show the president your ring?' " she says. "So Robert never wears the ring, [but] sometimes, in certain instances, he'll have it in his pocket, he'll take it out. Putin put it on his finger, and his first comment was 'I could kill someone with this,' which was a little bit of an unusual comment, and then they took pictures, and Putin put it back in his pocket and walked out." Then the fuss began. The story leaked to the media, and Robert Kraft issued a statement: "I decided to give him the ring as a symbol of the respect and admiration that I have for the Russian people and the leadership of President Putin." Myra Kraft even has an explanation for the official story. "Sandy called and said, 'You've got to do something to put this at rest,' so Robert said 'fine' and came up with some statement about the warm fuzzy feelings he had being in Russia. Of course, his forebears were probably raped and pillaged by these people, but Robert had to make it sound good," she says. "That's what it is. And so he got another one."" www.nytimes.com/2007/03/18/world/americas/18iht-web.0318-giving.4944365.html www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/ct-robert-kraft-vladimir-putin-super-bowl-ring-20170206-story.html

A majority of Americans do not have a vested interest in their country. There should be a required Civil Service component in citizenship, such that 2 years of service is required between the ages of 18 and 25. Those who want to buy out of the program can do so for 2 million dollars, which must go into the Civil Service fund totally separate from Congress. To steal from the fund is to steal from America. The Civil Service is for any civil service not only the military--Peace Corp, Job Corp, food pantries, inner city youth program moderators, etc. Note that the service can be done each Summer quarter between the ages of 18 and 25. The individual can take college the other quarters/semesters between 18 and 25.

Gergen is overwhelmed by nostalgia for the immediate post-world war two era and can't get over it. He conveniently skips the Vietnam War and the Iraq Wars as well as the tens of millions displaced by NAFTA and GATT. He is the embodiment of the Republican establishment that Trump crushed in 2016: out-of-touch and hubristic.

Did you know Alex Jones was sued by the parents of the children who died in the Sandy Hook Massacre because Jones said it was a hoax? In his defense, his lawyer claimed “he’s just an actor.” Later Jones said, maybe he “was experiencing psychosis.” Those who experience Psychosis either have Schizophrenia or Cluster A Schizotypal Personality Disorder. This means such people experience psychotic breaks from reality, delusions and hallucinations. When I heard him say this, I was already under the impression that he had Cluster A Paranoid Personality Disorder. Cluster A is defined as “odd or bizarre.” In his divorce and custody battle, Jones was also given the diagnosis of Cluster B Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Cluster B is defined as the “dramatic and erratic Sociopaths.” Co-morbidity is very common. And indeed they are actors, pathological liars and prone to rage. Why on earth would anyone believe this mentally ill drama queen’s rants is beyond me. Trump also believes Jones. There are numerous books on Trump at Amazon. BANDY LEE and JUSTIN FRANK are two of the most notable. I suggest you look them up, here at YT and at Amazon. It’s very clear to me that Trump has all the markers of a Malignant Narcissist, also called a Narcopath, but formally called a Narcissistic Psychopath. That also seems to be co-morbid with at least a touch of Paranoia (PPD). As a Never Trumper Republican, I would suggest you research all these Personality Disorders yourself. All Personality Disorders are the result of Childhood Trauma - Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) before the age of 5, when one’s basic personality is set. Usually, that means child abuse and neglect, and researchers and historians who know that happened to Trump. It is why he Twitter Rages at 2am, acts like a petulant child, a 5 y/o bully pitching sand in the sandbox. It is why he is so grandiose, and lies pathologically. Also look up STEVEN HASSAN here at YT. He wrote the book, THE CULT OF TRUMP, how Trump uses MIND CONTROL on CULT-45, or his MAGA supporters. I’ve crossed paths with a Narcissistic Psychopath. It cost me around $100K, resulting in PTSD and a rapid decline in my physical health. These people are highly toxic and very dangerous. Try reading DANGEROUS PERSONALITIES by retired FBI Special agent, JOE NAVARRO. Also do some research on Trump’s “incumbent spiritual advisor,” PAULA WHITE, and the PROSPERITY GOSPEL/WORD OF FAITH MOVEMENT borne out of Pentecostalism, also a false teaching which dominates Christian television, and is very popular in the South and Midwest, as it was stared in 1901 by Charles Fox Parham in Topeka, Kansas. Southern boy, Alex Jones is a Pentecostal, too. Is it any wonder then that Trump won via the Electoral College? Nope, not to me, who sees the big picture, just as plain as day. The notorious Word of Faith preacher, JIM BAKKER, of the PTL SCANDAL many years ago, renounced the heresy, but is back in biz, hocking his Times of Trouble Beans and End of the World Biscuits, making millions off PREPPERS. Pentecostals hold to the End Times view of a Post-Tribulation Rapture, thus they are scared. Doesn’t this sound like Alex Jones, too? Yup. Every cult leader that I can think of always evokes the name of God, as being on their side. Jim Jones, David Karesh, Charles Manson, Sun Myung Moon are but a few of the more notorious ones. Then there are Psychopaths like Adolph Hitler, who was raised in abusive Catholic home. Bottom line is this: DONALD TRUMP, ALEX JONES AND PAULA WHITE ARE ALL CULT LEADERS. Have a thoughtful day.
