People left forever (abandoned hotels then and now)
Urban Exploration: Abandoned hotels before and after (English and German subtitles are available!) Episode #160
In every culture, buildings get deserted. Without anyone to maintain them, structures are degraded by nature, time, and people, leaving only a ghostly shell of what they used to be. This time, we want to focus on the stages of decay. In this video, we feature two forgotten German hotels full of contrasts: While one of them is in pristine condition with clean rooms, the other one is infested with mold and completely ramshackle. These two buildings are different in so many ways, but they share the same fate: They were left to decay. Let’s be the last guests of these hotels, and explore what is deserted. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

I highly recommend that you view their past offerings, some of the best on KZread, the most soothing to the nerves, always respectful and informative, and they always show the beauty of the countries in which they explore. Something about this one in particular hits me a bit different. An amazing piece of video history. Don't look back on how far you guys have come, keep going, you can achieve anything and it's a deeply beautiful thing.
I really enjoy your series of videos. The attention to detail, the pacing, the superb narration, etc. it all comes together to make a very enjoyable show to watch. The production quality is easily better than most of the stuff on TV these days in the US.
Such an amazing opportunity to not only view the hotels, but also to show the process of the decay. Thanks BWT for taking us viewers with you on these adventures! Love from rural Tennessee, USA 🇺🇸

Got my copy of your Calendar today and WOW, what a great addition to my appartment! The beautiful photos are printed on very high quality paper, a big one for each month and several smaller ones plus additional text, where you are talking about the location shown. It is hanging over my desk in my home-office now where I do always have a good view on it. It is really worth the price, but unfortunately I don't have any people in my surroundings who share that hobby, woud it be so, I had taken the chance of getting one more for 50% off. I love it, and I am very curious to see yout newest episode on Sunday. Take care guys!

It's so rare that you find places in so pristine condition. Either in healthy condition or crumbling away, these buildings are as they were left the day they were closed (almost, anyway). I love these much better than the ones that were emptied out, vandalized, or both.

Beautifully filmed, beautifully photographed, and beautifully narrated = just like always. Once point I must disagree with, however (speaking as an English person) - there's nothing wrong with Schweinebraten and Sauerkraut. That's the #1 reason why we come to visit your great country. And for the Schweinshaxe. And the Bratwurst, Knackwurst, Teewurst, and Weisswurst. And other stuff. Probably.

Great video, as always. Loved the contrast between the two hotels. Personally I liked the intact one because you can see more of it and how it was used and enjoyed. The decrepit one is in such bad shape, there must've been areas into which it was not safe to explore. Can't wait for my calendar to arrive!

I think I prefer the most decayed hotel. Seems to have a haunting feeling about it. Filled with memories just decaying with the building. I just wish they could save the beautiful organ before it's to late. The newly abandoned looks like it can open tomorrow. But I like the view from your campsite the most! Love camping n rugging it. Thanks guys well done! Can't wait for my calendar. Be safe n well all of you. GB.
Beautiful place 🍃
19:05 I just love him ! I think he would be fun to hang with. Is the 2021 Urbex Calendar in English or German ??
@bwturbex
3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! The calendar is in English language only. ✌
The electronic organ at 10:00 ! It's a Galanti X-360, a cheap low-end model from Italy built in the 1970's, your typical "home organ". I would have loved to have played some tunes for the guests back in the day, but not on that one! Would have preferred a Wersi or Bohm, trying to emulate Klaus or Franz! Apologies for my random thoughts 😴 I subscribed and have been binge watching your work and enjoying it. The quality of filming, the drone shots, the voiceovers and the evocative background music really is first class. Stay safe and take care guys. Greetings from Wales UK!
I could hear a chorus of Roll Out the Barrel, coming from that old organ... or Begin the Beguine, lol. I think it was a great idea to bring the elderly and infirm to such a beautiful spot for some fresh air and a change or scenery. These days across the pond, the elderly are pretty much left to decay in the Long Term Care facilities just like the first place you were filming. Thank you for showing the beauty of the Hartz mountains from above. We stayed in a Kurort there when we visited many years ago. It was really nice and the restaurant featured freshly caught game meat (wild boar with sour cherry sauce, Yum.)
I watch every BWT Video, they are always a lot of fun to watch. Till now i was not able to find any other channel that shows lost places in the BWT quality. The footage ist just perfect, like the video cutting and there is the well researched backgrund information what i have never seen on any other youtube channel before. The BWT Calender looks great. Your idea with the bag that should be used for some even more useful sense and should be documented is an awesome idea. Not just cool videos, BWT wants to make the world a little better. Hope that you're going on forever.

Love.
Ah, the Harz Mountains at last! In the 1940s we used to listen to a radio program called Master Radio Canaries on WGN, out of Chicago, Illinois. It was fifteen minutes of organ music, played by Preston Sellers, with cages of canaries, which would sing along---and was sponsored by _Hartz (American spelling) Mountain Products,_ which sold products like bird seed, to pet owners!! (I thought it was lame, but my mom loved it.) Our friends, the Proper People, would love the wheelchair at 4:38: "Look, another chair just _chillin',_ all by itself!" lol The hotel reminds me of the architecture of the northern parts of my home state in the upper Midwest of the US---all that wood! The menu would have appealed to my parents, who dined fairly often at a wonderful restaurant in the very German city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, called the Schwaben House. (I personally never developed a taste for one of Mom's favorite dishes, sauerkraut and spareribs. She served us kids ring bologna and homemade macaroni and cheese, instead. [Have to stop now, I'm getting hungry in the "wee hours" of the night!]) Danke! Stay safe, everyone.
Excellent and intelligently narrated very educational and amazing beautiful explorations very respectful and in good taste of your search. Thank you! 👍❤👍Pls wear protective apparatus black molds and asbestos are so dangerous to your health. Thank you! The best vlog I've ever watch.
The hospitality industries are always the best when it comes to being curators of historical places, the way they are designed to last for a lifetime strategically located in the rural place. This is to be restored to its pristine condition. SME General practices, all fields of studies, excellence are the result of hardwork.
