T&H Inspiration is on a mission to share inspiring wisdom. The goal is to have you pause, think, and reflect. Many of our videos revolve around the extraordinary teachings of Alan Watts that we produce with permission from the Alan Watts Electronic University.
T&H also films and releases original interviews with iconic people who have experienced successes, while also persevering through life's highs and lows. We look forward to sharing more of these perspectives and insights.
Our hope with these videos is to push your thinking. As Alan Watts said “No one is more dangerously insane than one who is sane all the time: he is like a steel bridge without flexibility, and the order of his life is rigid and brittle.” - Alan Watts.

@@RainerBosch-qy9fj - humility, not being greedy, not chasing after thier own egos, self development, internal development, being helpfull... List is long. But they won't as it is an entertainment industry, driven by money, greed, egos. Corpo like approach. Like always have been, so there is no surprise there at all. The same with fashion industry, sport and so on (not even talking about corporate greed and approach). All money, profit and next year stock market price (depending which hedge fund is owning which movie studio at the moment). Ricky Gervais Opening Monologue from the Golden Globes 2020 is just a proof of that. That nobody in Hollydood cares. Just laughs here and there and that's it. It's been like that since early 1920-1930 - especially if you read some of the statements, and memoirs from the actors and actresses from that age. Pure greed, abuse, and so called "casting counch". All of that has been there since the beginning, even in the "silent age of cinema". So hearing somebody like Anthony Hopkins, and some (few) other actors here and there, is actually refreshing. Pure life philosophy, and a pleasure to hear from the mainstream actor.

Not so. The ego-mind is just another appearance in consciousness. Your true self, the Self is above all as pure awareness, ever unaffected. The mind can be completely silenced, it only persists because you find it novel and exciting. If you are as bad of a friend to your mind as it is to you your connection will cease. Once silent you will see that life goes on and is handled far better than you ever could. Then you will understand that you are not the doer in its entirety. The mind can get a taste though, just question this ~ How did you type this? How did you initiate the subatomic processes that lead to muscle contraction and coordination? If you really are the doer then you should know exactly how this is done, no? Or is everything just happening?

Mr. Hopkins, I have been following your career for many years, have watched all of your films, and can say candidly that you are one of the ELITE group of Actors still alive and working to this day. This group is one in which actors can portray believable personas of times past. I have never been disappointed in any of the films you starred. You have been, "Over-the-Top", “Playing difficult parts", and "Always convincing”, and “one of the last true professionals of the movie industry.” Thank you for inspiring, motivating, and bringing me to heart-felt tears on many occassions in viewing your films. Many actors in this elite category are disappearing at an alarming rate. The world has gone to rot. Meaning, many people, like fruit...if you have one piece of rotten fruit in the bunch, you can expect the rest of the group to follow suit. Mr. Hopkins, I will continue to follow your career, and hope you are living a truly wonderful life, as you have brought so much joy, drama, comedy, and love into our home over the years. Sincerely, Mrs. Wilma Cavalier Phoenix, AZ

At that moment Hopkins changed his life by acting (pretending)....this initiated huge amounts of emotions not only for him but for his audience, who relished in his acting (pretending) as they too became addicted to the inner emotions that were evoked. Not realizing that those very emotions relied on ones subjective perspective....which in reality achieved very little other than a belief in an Illusion. And that is man's weakness...his insistence that his imagination is real. (Real as in tangible, measurable & verifiable by others) This weakness is prayed upon by all religions.

This was fascinating, I am a huge fan of Sir Anthony Hopkins, and a Lion in Winter is still one of my favorite movies of all time. I had no idea he was so spiritual and a follower of non dualism. The only thing I would like to add to his quote at the end, is that there actually is no thinker. You never think, have never thought you are only the observer of thoughts. The body mind has thoughts running through it, but they are not your thoughts. There is also no doer, you have never done anything, the body mind is on autopilot like a character in a movie, you have no control, no say, in what the character does and are only the silent witness to an illusionary person that is merely conditioning doing its own thing.

Would you say that there is no one who suffers even when, say, they are tortured by some cruel person? And if no one suffers then does anyone do anything wrong when they hurt another, outside of the dictates of state law? If someone gets away with murder, for example, will they experience some type of karmic payback in the future? How could they, if there is no doer involved?

When you dream sometimes someone in your dream is doing something bad to you or vice versa, but in reality was there really anyone getting hurt or anyone even there to begin with? When you wake from that dream you enter into another one, this one. In this dream you think your a thing, a person, that things happen to and that you and others do things. You are only pure consciousness or awareness. If you were a person you would be the emotions, you would be the thoughts, you would be the personality, but your not, your only the observer of those things and you can’t control them. Your not in the body that you identify with anymore than your in my body or your neighbors. Your relationship to your self image that you call you is very much like a character you watch on a tv show. You can't control what happens to the character on a tv show and you can't control their choices and decisions, just like you can't control the character called you that is nothing more than conditioning on autopilot.

But they are not your emotions, anymore than a sad character in a movie or tv show is you. Yes there is emotion present, right now there may be sadness, but emotions are like thoughts and the weather, they come and go and aren’t you.
