Dr. Wayne Dyer's Life Advice Moving Forward & Letting GO - Don't Miss This one!

Dr. Wayne Dyer the next principle I call giving up your personal history
and I learned it from a man named Carlos Castaneda who once said that one day he
said I finally realized that I no longer needed a personal history
and just like drinking he said I gave it up and that and only that has made all
the difference in the world you know the nice thing about giving up your personal history
is that if you don't have a story you don't have to live up to it
all of us have these bags of manure that we carry around with us
called our past and the people who have done things to us and the events and the circumstances all of this stuff that we
use and we bond to and we Bond ourselves to these wounds of our past and we identify ourselves on the basis of these
wounds and every once in a while we set it down and we reach in there and we smear it all over ourselves and then we
wonder why does my life smell so bad I don't understand this when in fact the now this moment merging
yourself into the now means that you may have been in a relationship I had a woman from Holland who came over to see
me whose husband had left her after 25 years she had four children and she just
had been on the verge of suicide and she was losing weight and she was depressed and she was taking all kinds of drugs
for it and she was getting sicker and sicker because she just couldn't get over it and she came to a book signing
that I was doing at a bookstore down in Florida and she said you've got to say something
to me you've got to say something to me that will help me
to get over this and I told her this line I said give up your personal history
merge yourself here now into this moment and those 25 years are something if you
want to understand how to do it think of your past as
oh this hat and this is your past now you can't just set this thing down
over here and walk away from it and give up your personal history because you'll
always have it there to look back at what you do is you pick up your
past and you embrace it you understand it you accept it

At 62, I began using the latter half of my first name, thereby changing it up just enough. Also, I deactivated by Facebook because I was dragging around people from high school who I only said “happy birthday” and “your dinner looks great” to. Then I re-created myself a brand new Instagram for just my art and photography. I grayrocked every single one of my narcissistic family of origin members who seemed hellbent on destroying me. And then I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Now I take long walks in the woods and I garden and I paint and I LOVE each and every day. I hope you, reading this, finds your own path to true inner peace. ❤

All problems have components. Not all components are in your control or are created by you, consequently a person does not entirely create a problem. At best, you have a triad of a problem situation. Two thirds are outside of your control, leaving you the third that was created or you have control over. The problem could be the lack of education or the wrong type of education (ideologies come to mind here) Where there are problems created by an amount of learning incorrect information and applying it to reality (where you are part of everyone else being in the same bubble), it was not created by you but accepted by you as true. There are more instances than not that this does NOT apply to.

It will bother you again, come knocking on your door, or even like a note tied to a rock that smashes through your window if you don’t answer the door!😳😄 That’s why Dyer says to also get help with your issues if you need it. There are many possible forms of help: info/ motivational videos like this one, books, therapists, wise friends, clergy, online and in-person communities, etc. It can be like walking along the beach, maybe you are sad or upset, then you see a lovely shell or rock, and you pick it up and examine it, and maybe you keep it because you like it, and you walk some more and you see another thing you like, and it is free for the taking so you keep that thing too. After a while you may have too much and want to leave some of the less attractive things you found, so you just leave them, with thanks for coming into your life when they did. In this way life comes to with offers and you pick and choose what to take, what to keep and try to hold with respect, and what to leave, with thanks. Relationships are complex so require more patience to cope with, so you may want to seek more perspectives and support about what to do. But if your intent is good (ie helping yourself AND helping others) things will work the best that they can at that time. It’s important to not be in a rush. We often make poor choices when we rush and grab at choices. Don’t be running all over the beach rushing to try and find treasures! Enjoy what you can of your surroundings and watch to see what things you come across, what you notice and choose with care. One more thing he seems to be suggesting is that your experience of life can be like sitting in a movie. If you are not liking this particular movie you can get up and go find a new movie to try. That first movie doesn’t stop playing, and some people stay and watch it, but you can choose to stay, or find a different movie to watch (and some people may go with you, some won’t, and there will new people to watch the new movie with as well🤷🏻‍♂️). Change is not easy or simple but he is saying it is possible and positive change can be your intent. You can gradually learn to take better care of yourself just as when you practice anything your ability to do that thing improves. There will be ups and downs and progress and setbacks and changes of course, but just try and remember your honest intent( which is hopefully to be a good and helpful person in this world).

Give yourself an opportunity to observe what you are surrounded with, when you notice something that catches you attention either in positive or negative way, think about the reason why that made you feel in a certain way. It helps to be present in the moment. It is hard to change yet possible. Your past defines partially your character as a person today and maybe even decisions you make, however if you are not content, give yourself a chance to change for the better and know that present actually is a present given to us, unwrape it and hope for the best and work on becoming the person you would like to be. A happier version of yourself. You can change, first thoughts, then words and finally actions. It is hard, yet possible. It's up to you.

Many times, it is not just mental/psychological burden we carry but physical/material burden. We accumulate so much material "stuff", it becomes a burden to take care/maintain. We use a lot of resources (both mental and physical) to take care of the material accumulations. We must think of reducing it too. We have to live, but try to reduce the physical accumulations. I am working on reducing the material/physical accumulation which also helps in decluttering your mind. We should constantly engage in introspection, think about what is going on in the world. We are fortunate to have wise men like Dr. Wayne Dyer and others to guide us.

❤wow- exactly what I did after 25 years in toxic working environment. Leaving there was such a relief that for a full 2 years afterwards I would wake each morning with so much joy in my heart. From there I chose jobs I wanted to do and stayed only as long as I enjoyed them, moving forward to better things each time and learning more about myself in the course of those few years then that 25 year self imposed life sentence! Only remain in touch with one ex-colleague from the old place but I do find them a bit negative and it is so important to stay away from negative energy I believe. Would never set foot back in the old workplace 😊

What it means that when you reach out to your source, you will be fulfilled. There is no shortage/scarcity in the truth, but only an illusion. Reaching out to source or connecting to your source, you will come to know of the truth. Truth is, according to Wayne, there is no lack, life has plenty to offer but we are defocused like someone with his back towards the sun might look at his own shadow and say there is shortage of light in that particular area but all that he or she needs to do is to look towards the sun and there would be no shadow.

The past will always be apart of me BUT it doesn’t control me rather it has made me stronger and I am able to function well knowing I’ve Dropped the anger, bitterness and embraced the love and joy but cannot be the naïve victim anymore.

This is really about deprogramming yourself. Our parents, siblings, culture all put us on patterns that don't help our happiness or contentment. All you never needed was a path to self empowerment. It starts by understanding money and how it works. Money buys you time so you can enjoy a sunset. Ignorant buys you slavery. It's that simple. Once you get that under control you no longer need your family and can choose your friends better and you can live your life on your terms and connect with your faith in the best way possible; without bad programming.

It makes me wanna quickly run and do something meaningful. With all my effort. It makes me wanna make sure to acknowledge everyone. And make sure they knew I loved them. Even that random dude nobody talks to in the corner.. it makes me wanna tell people my true feelings about God. And try to be joyful as possible. And make that last moment good as possible. I never wanna be on my phone in that last hour. Or go eat a junk food or drug. Or be mean. Or hold in my feeling. Or not love my peers. And family. Sometimes I forget. Or loose focus of it.

What and where you place your attention, those things, those experiences, those states of mind, those thoughts, thouse feelings, they grow regardless of their nature. You pay enough attention to it, and it WILL GROW within you. Call it peace, call it love, call it hate, call it stress, call it what-have-you. What you constantly pay attention to, GROWS WITHIN YOU!!! Ask yourself: what kind of reality do you wish to live in? and THINK those thoughts instead. The name of the game: IS Attention. It sort of makes sense: if you forget your past you don't need to drink to forget.) This guy has a pleasant voice. He manipulates words with some skill. I particularly appreciate that there wasn't a lot of coughing in his audience - maybe his advice on lozenges is stellar. But the presentation here is of no value. I am 67. I don't brood over "wounds" or wrongs though I will not claim that these never cross my mind. By the time you reach my age you have lost people you love and who loved you. Breaking with my "personal history" is throwing away all they gave me. No thanks.

I advise you hold onto your history because your story is special and epic with or without the approval of others, there will be someone one day who respects you and probably more. There are heroes in our society who dont wear capes and die in unmarked graves. Fight for your legacy.

My friends told me "I just needed to get over the past", I did, I told them they were part of my past and kicked them to the curb. Now I live by that. I see a drowning child I will just see the future past and keep walking and not worry about it. Accumulate no more...

As a sailor, I can say that a wake does help insulate the boat from incoming waves, especially if the waves are coming from the beam or aft quarter. I get the analogy, but the wake of a boat can influence how the boat behaves in the now.

Alan Watts is probably not a good source for understanding nature and physics, and thus any analogies he draws from nature are probably not very sound either.

Well done but this video is exactly that a story that needs to be told. For without our stories what are we. Yes we can start a new everyday we need to improve our personal story to evolve.
