If those gas stamps were counterfeits made by the mob, and given to union members. They would be worth quite a bit i guess?
I met the old man back in 2010 and shook his hand. He was very kind to me, and he always gave me a good laugh. Rest in peace, Richard.

I thanked him for coming out to see all of us since it was his choice to walk out from the back and take pictures with everyone. I told him how cool he is, and it looked like he was trying to hold in his laugh while talking to me. lol

He always gave Chumlee a hard time but you can tell the old man loved him

The Old Man and Chum Lee had such a good dynamic. They were like total opposites but they were a blast to watch together.
You know the Old Man means business when he opens his eyes.

Out of all the pawn stars the one I would hate trying to bargain with is the old man lol, he always says a low price and does not budge from it 😂 rest in peace old man 🥲

You don't know how he really negotiates though as we only see a reenactment. The real deal is done beforehand off camera as Nevada law doesn't allow the deal to be filmed. So they film a reenactment for our entertainment, for all we know they said $1000 and shook straight away or they could have haggled for 30 minutes ,we don't know how the real negotiation went

Chumlee is not nearly as dumb as he lets on during the show. That is kinda what I love about that guy. He knew what the show needed and was in the perfect position to deliver.

Tbh even if it's so, at least their show was informative, unlike that one where they buy locked boxes at auctions without even know what it is and hope they get lucky.
When the old man said "$1100 or you can take him back home" you can tell the guy really didn't want haul that bear back home lol

I feel kind of bad for the man chumlee gave the man a good deal. Although I think the pin ball machine may have been a publicly owned machine which succumb to rust eventually due to it being in an attic that and the fact that no one really cleaned it inside out or did maintenance was probably a minor factor but rust takes time and you need bad conditions for bad brown rust where the metal peels off so for me the 3k is most sensible.
The old man's last words were probably "oh, shut up Chumlee"🤣🤣🤣
I really love watching pawnstars, its funny and at the same time you learn from them.

Yes and I thought it was a little disrespectful to the Old man. Respect your elders as the saying goes. Guy is just trying to earn a living. Chum agreed with his offer and he had more knowledge of the pinball machine.
I gotta give it to the old man in the teddy bear deal, the old man knew the guy didnt know jack about the bear even though the old man did he showed his dignity by stating how much it was worth, how rare it was, the issues with it, & still gave him a some what decent offer, RIP old man !
