I bought a totalled car in the US and fixed it in my driveway because of you! I had numerous "oh shit, what have i done" moments. But to my complete amazement, I successfully repaired the car, and drive it daily now! One of my proudest moments, at 55 years old.

Right... this video hit me pretty hard. I worked hard and saved for over 4 years to fulfil my father's dream. A convertible Mustang in wine red. But unfortunately he didn't survive his heart attack. Half a year longer and I could have fulfilled his dream. Spend time with your parents, it can be over quickly!

You are the epitome of what every father dreams of. You embody strength, compassion, and resilience, making your dad endlessly proud. Every dad on this planet longs for a son as remarkable as you.
I cried twice watching this rebuild; first when the engine started second when he gave his dad the Ferrari. This really made me miss my dad. Wonderful content!
WOW, Dude. Love that you gave that car to your dad...you are the mann. I am literally in tears. My dad died 38 years ago when I was 15. When I bought my first 4x4 pick up truck I cried because I would have loved to take my dad on a drive to the beech. We used to fish a lot together, but couldn't afford a beech vehicle at the time. It's great that you guys work together...from South AFRICA.
Hey Matt. I follow you araound for quite a while now. As a car enthusiast I think its more than logical to follow your channels. Usually I do not interact a lot with youtubers, being more of a "quiet" viewer, but let me say you I really appreciate your work and admire how you and your dad tackle all those challenges with all those different cars. YOu guys are doing an awesome Job. Also for the rest of the Team and Hannah, but I really wish you all the best for all projects. Having never had a "real" dad that would ever had encouraged me to work on things like this makes me realize ( with my now 40) years that I might have missed a lot over the years. Not complaining, because I was used to be on my owen since my 16th year of life but still this shows how it should be. I´m sure you guys had your fights and differences as well but you stick together and work on those sometime impossible challenges to make it work. Thank you so much for that content. Maybe we meet one day just to exchange some words maybe not. Still want to say, thank you so much. Much love and appreciation from Germany.
I’m 34, my dad left when I was 7. Never once did I need him or miss him… until I seen mat and his father’s relationship and that shit is so special I’m sad I missed out on that but I’m happy mat taught me more than my sperm donor ever did. Thanks mat and I hope you truly know how lucky you are to have an old man like you do!

Ya know…. I have had just about the rockiest of dad son relationships. And I used to think that dads are not all they’re cracked up to be . Took me moving away (far away) for us to realize that it was no way for us to be . But now , we’re allll good I’d be lost without the few words I get from him a month. And for that I am sorry to hear there are people out there in your shoes. But I’m super happy to see you’ve made it against all odds
Nothing better than working with your Dad. Watching Dads face, when you gave him the Ferrari was the best feeling. I can only imagine what was going through his head. Disbelief, Love for you Mat, Pride for his son and holding back his tears. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Round of applause for the editor(s) who put this magnificent vid up as well. Job well done everyone and what a beautiful ending.

I love these full build videos! One of the best creators on KZread by far.... Great job.
You don't know how lucky you are to have a dad like him, and a great relationship like yours! That's great you gave your dad the car, would be an awesome feeling no doubt. Good on you Mat, you're a legend mate! I love watching you succeed! Keep it rolling man.
Absolutely LOVED this! Matt needs his own TV show!
Aww, he needed a hug when he was given the key. I can see in the videos the respect you have for your Dad. Good on you for showing it on the chanel. ❤
I watched every minute of this video twice, and think it's amazing! What better ending than to give your father the car! My father and I had a plan to rebuild an old muscle car, after he retired soon...he had race cars he sold when I was born...he was a diesel mechanic by trade, and grew up in a transmission shop his father owned. I grew up in a garage, helping, learning, and doing routine maintenance, and aftermarket parts once I was driving. My father had a severe stroke, just 6 weeks before retirement, and one a year to the day another stroke, that completely debilitated him. He has dementia now, and is in a rest home. Watching your father in the garage with you through all your videos, reminds me of all the great times I had growing up working on cars, and time we spent together. I just wonder sometimes and especially seeing content like this, what would have decided to build, and the sense of accomplishment at the end...✌️
Your dad makes the channel so wholesome. He really does deserve it. There is nothing better than bonding with your dad. He needs to be in the video for my 👍 like.
Good man, look after your dad, he’s a gem. Not many people get to have their dad help them rebuild cars and he always seems so happy.
Getting to do all this with your dad is amazing. Treasure these memories!
Love the relationship you and your dad have, the camaraderie laughter and risks just add to a great watch…
The ending made my cry. Such a wonderful thing giving the car to your father.
Absolutely loved this one Matt. Giving it to your Dad at the end was just the icing on the cake ❤
This is an epic video that sets the standard for this type of rebuild. Presenting the car to your dad was incredible...you two have a special bond. You are the best. The only thing missing at the end was dad and son hugging.
Watching Hanna help push a Ferrari off the lift? The single best moment of the day.(wow! I wish I could be more complementary & charming.) Mat, you are doing quite well too!
Ive watched the last part a couple of times and tear up everytime. Miss my dad you are blessed to have such a awesome dad.
Actually brought a tear to my eye. Your dad's a legend.
Wonderful gesture to give the car to your dad Mat. I lost my dad 39 yrs ago and so miss him.
I can watch this over and over with the same feelings when you give your dad the keys.Awesome.
When Matt gave the key to his dad I must admit. I got a little choked up.. Nice job guys...
Pure engineering marvel of a masterpiece. I have never loved watching a KZread video more than this. Simply breathtaking work from Matt and his dad.
Loving the editing and footage of actually taking the engine apart, more in depth. This channel just gets better.Keep up the good work you are the best on KZread
This was longer than most movies but more engrossing.. .. keep up the great work Mat, you are hitting the nail on the head every time
Its insane that We all watched this when they came out, and we all watch it again! Its a combo of your accent and car content, it feels enough like top gear. Thank you Mat
Beautiful moment..almost made me cry bruh, wish I had a dad like yours. He's genuinely a great person, we can all feel the energy he radiates wherever we are across the world. So yea, another excellent vid fam and love from Jamaica 🇯🇲 to you and the entire team 👊🏽

Most impressed by you putting that gearbox back together and having it work with no documentation. great job!!!
Freddy giving you the engine is the Pinnacle of American car culture. I have seen two competitors share parts on the weekends at the drag strip. I have seen them put actual sweat equity into their opponents vehicles as well to get them back going and be able to have a good clean competition. Over here if you're a gearhead you're family.
One of those KZreadrs where you like the video before you even watch it
Hadn't joined the channel to see the beginning of this build but caught the end when you gave it to your dad, which was awesome AF! Didn't know Tavarish gave you the engine. The man! GG Freddy

The ending gets me every time. Knew it was coming but still... Your Dad is the best, Your crew are the best, the editing is top notch, I feel like I known all you for years. By far my fav content creator on YT. Long may it continue.
Dude, I'm late because of you... actually because your dad, he´s the one to blame for missiing that part of the engine LOL. Thank you so much for the entertaintment, I did pass half of the video thinking how I was not going into tears about your father-son connection, but at the end....I couldn't resist any longer. It's amazing how a senior folk enlights himself when he is trully happy. for moments he was a child again and you must be so proud for giving him that. Brilliant job though, a trully mechanic always finds out a way to overcome his problems. I did work with my dad, we were mechanics in the rural/construction area (CASE, MASSEY FERGUSON, Etc) and I'm only mentioning this because all gerabox that we did repair act exact same way that one. The inertia keeps it going even when it's not in gear. When its mounted and on the floor it can't overcome the weigth and its not noticeable. Also you did the best choice to set the right pignion-crown set because as my knowledge goes they really are a kit, they're build for working togheter. I've build so many engines and gearboxes one for two broken ones I did forget, that's the way you know what you're doing. Congrats|
Your Dad is always smiling, such a joy just to watch you two together. Great job!
Love this channel. Hope you hugged your Dad and told him that he deserved it and you loved him when the camera stopped rolling. 100% Quality content. 💙

I watched every video, you could say episode, that you posted from the very beginning on the main channel. It was a pleasure to watch it assembled in one piece. Sometimes things can't go smoothly in life, like you said two steps forward one step back. That won't stop you from fixing your Lamborghini. It is important that you do not miss anyone in your life. Such a good job of repairing that car and a truly beautiful gesture to give it to your dad. Well done Matt and crew.
It’s great what you all do, and the best bit was in the last minute or two when you passed the key to your dad and said ‘…this is your Ferrari’ and he said ‘no it ain’t’ with the biggest happiest smile ever. Just brilliant.
