Pastor Baucham, thank you so much for this sermon today. I used to have pictures of the Lord Jesus Christ, depicting various events from the Bible throughout the house. I have read the 2nd commandment many, many times in the last seventy-five years but apparently, those were just words because I never equated having such depictions of the Lord and his angels as being blasphemous. But last year I was in Exodus 20 and for the first time, I realized what it truly meant.....not what I thought it meant, nor what my church thinks it means. I felt horrible. How could I have read those passages so many times and never understood what it really meant....what it really entailed. Wow ! Those pictures of the Lord, His angels and even cute little cherubs all went into the trash that evening. Bringing them into my home was breaking one of the top three commandments and I did not even recognize it; I thought I was worshiping the Lord, but instead, I was going against HIm.

Pastor Baucham, The holy spirit has enlightened me to this sound doctrine the truth. Any graven image or likeness of what is in heaven above the word and meaning of likeness in hebrew has several adjectives such as resemblance imagination portrait and semblance. Do you think this covers such things as C.S . Lewis Narnia, or all the nativity scenes live or plays of the nativity Easter Resurrection and so forth. Please pray for me because that is what the Holy Spirit is enlightening me to like a lamp to my feet or a light going on in a room that I'm supposed to see. Pray that when I speak to my pastor as I believe the Holy Spirit is leading me to do that he The light of Christ will illuminate his heart and mind as he is illuminated mine. I firmly believe we are the bride of Christ and God's desire is to come back for the pure bride of Christ I believe we're going to enter a season where the impurities are going to be worked out of us as a full body before his return. Any kind of guidance would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much for this teaching God bless you 🙏🏼💛

Wait so are you saying that even if you just have a picture of jesus but dont worship it or anything. Thats bad?

Yes. He mentioned in one of his interviews that even movies like The Passion of the Christ and series The Chosen are not acceptable. The reason for it is, when people now pray the image of the actor portraying Jesus now comes to their mind, which is now wrong. I will try to find that interview and paste the link here.
