I think April and Andy work well together because Andy is so genuine, not trying too hard (or at all) to impress anyone. April hates fake people and lame-o's and Andy wears the "I act like I'm epic, but I know I'm really not, but let me try super hard to be a good person anyway" really well.

same. season 1 was boring but i'm glad i decided not to drop the show. when i rewatch season 1 again it was actually kinda fun. season 7 was great ending season but it wasn't as funny as the previous season.

Isaac Walton barely any show can claim that season 1 is the best season. I'm currently rewatching it and it's ok. I remember first watching it and wanting to watch on but it's true some of the characters weren't fully worked out yet but it's definitely not shit

Alan Chang bear thru? I was hooked from the get-go. I dont have s tv so I only watched half of season 1 online when it was new. My husband and u have been binge watching lately, and there was nothing to bear through, it was comedic gold from the beginning and just kept getting better.

And I say that being apparently in the minority who liked the Brandonawicz character. But it's especially wild where Andy Dwyer ends up, because he's actually borderline unlikeable in that first season. You feel for Anne as his settling girlfriend so much.

Whenever I want to get someone to watch Parks and Rec (because it's one of the best shows ever made), I tell them that they just have to suffer through season 1 before it gets really good. It's mostly because S1 Leslie is basically what right-wing morons think feminists are like - incapable, always playing a victim etc. S2+ Leslie is what most feminists are actually like: strong, powerful, always fighting for the spot their abilities qualify them for in a system that tries to hold them down. What makes it so realistic is that while the system holds them down, the actual people, the individuals that exist aren't sexist. That distinction is crucial.

That's her style of comedy. Watch some of her interviews with Letterman/Conan, they all get thrown off and don't know what approach to take. She's hilarious.

Who would have thought that the biggest star to come out of this was Andy, and the second being April.....goes to show you that you just never know.

I like Chris Pratt as Andy better than Star-Lord or Dino Tamer man (I can’t remember the character’s name). I mean he’s probably just a lovable and scruffy now but Andy era Chris is like a golden retriever. How can you not love him?

Well, they're both sarky, and hate everyone, but April isn't gloomy and Daria doesn't put her sentences such that her sarcasm could be mistaken for a joke. The style of both shows sort of dictate the characters as well. I think there's crucial differences.

Aubrey is a comedic genius, and I don't say things like that often. She should be a major star, except there aren't many Greg Daniels or Mike Schur's around to let her do what she does best.

Watching season one again through the glow of the series in its entirety shows the true value and beauty in a brilliant show emerging.

I think I will be able to train myself to be very comfortable under pressure, just by watching Aubrey's interactions. A lot of them are laughing when uncomfortable to relieve the pressure(1:36), but Aubrey is just smirking at best through the most of the interview.

Her nearly lispeling is so cute,- aaand she´s an awesome actress!

It took 3 months to visit and bear through S1 episodes 1-4. But it was classic Binge watching from there on.

To be honest the biggest reason I love April is because she reminds me of my aunt, to the point that is creepy. She’s super responsible, but the mannerisms and way of speaking are too much alike. Even their looks!

her funny character is the funny character i've been waiting for. she reminds me so much of me and other people i have worked with. i used to monitor calls of this one young woman so none of the other supervisors could, and she would literally put on a show for me. I would just let her know that i was about to monitor her and she would start fucking with customers. she was never rude, but it was very much like april ludgate. and this was back in 1998 or 1999. i even recorded it and took it home.
