It was a 100 years war, of course they won some and lost some, if not, they would have had no more territories. Plus, she was condemned and burnt by a Bishop who was siding with the English... what a surprise, huh ? The Catholic Church reinvestigated the verdict years later and overturned it, saying how biased it was. Which is why she was then considered a martyr. • @Libellulaire

@@greghodson4 Not even remotely what it is about. Those guys couldn't move the fridge, they knew it was something too heavy that required a specific set up and a certain amount of people. Yet they sent Leslie and April to do it without telling them anything, without giving them any tools to do it, and they pretended the regular, usual two garbage men could do it by themselves. They lied and set them up just to "prove" their point which "Females don't belong doing that job." You're such an hypocrite. Or you're stupid if you really don't see it. I don't know, you can choose whichever you'd rather be, I guess.

I read about a test someone did for a mover in an interview (not sure if this is a story or real,) where they show a young, muscular guy a big safe, and tell him to move it, and he immediately says, well, that's a two man job at least, with equipment. Gets the job.

But seriously I’ve never seen a female trash worker. It’s not about feminism. They don’t want to do the job and most women I’ve come across can’t lift as much as their male counterparts. Jobs aren’t being sexist if people don’t want / can’t do the job. I think that’s the moral here.

I could tell you a true story about a council in Birmingham UK that has been desperate to have 40% female waste workers for almost 25 years now. How they got to 20% really quickly.. but struggled to get to even 25% despite every line manager, team leader and HR being female in the department. I’ll give you a clue, waste workers work in teams of five. One is the team leader and drives the vehicle. The other 4 “walkers”:walk behind doing the manual work… go on. Guess what happened. I bet you’re right.

For instance, being as cool as Raul Julia's Gomez Addams when he affectionately calls people, "Old man." Or calling other guys, "Baby," like in 1970s Blaxploitation films. And now, I want to be like the restaurant owner who talks in metaphors involving animals.
