    This is the 1st time I've EVER seen a blended family that looks and acts like mine (minus the instruments). I LOVE my son's stepmother for the way she LOVE'S our son. When my son woke up on his 9th Birthday he came straight to my bed, laid next to me and said he'd never love someone else more than he loves me. I said "awwwwww, baby me too"! Then he wasted no time asking me if he could call his step mother mom.... I cried almost immediately. ONLY because my son has ADHD and is SUPER DUPER HYPER. MOST ppl can't handle it, and make him feel like he's a bad kid... including some of his teachers. This makes him assume that most adults just dont like him or want to be around him. So, when he experienced the opposite reaction from her, it made him feel like he was loved and accepted by someone other than ME. At that moment I knew that she was a blessing to him, his father and I. I happily told him OF COURSE BABY..... WHATEVER IS IN YOUR HEART.

    1000 subs with no videos I have biased feelings towards that. My parents split when I was 10 and my step dad tried to act like the guy in the video. And I did what my real dad told me to do. I told him he's not my dad and I dont have to listen to him. I'm 19 now and am greatful my dad told me to do that. My point is step parents should respect the child's real parents and leave the parenting to them

    So my father left me and my mother when I was 2 DAYS old - at the hospital. They were law students then and were supposedly in love, problem is, my mother didn't know that he already had a pregnant girlfriend in the province. So he left to go back to his other baby momma and left us. When I was 3 my mom met her life partner, and I also met the man who would be more of a father to me than my actual father. I have never once felt that I wasn't his child even though we wern't related by blood. We were related by the bond of family and love and that was already more than enough - sure as hell more than what my real father gave me. when I was in High School my father got in touch wih me again, and I figured what the hell, family is family so just forgive. Sometimes I feel like my real father underappreciates my stepdad so much when he should be so embarrassed that my stepdad was raising me while he was off to batman knows where. My stepdad sometimes becomes insecure since my real dad is now a lawyer and can give me more than what my stepdad can. I just want my stepdad to know he is not my stepdad, he's my real father and nothing would ever amount to the love and care he has given me while growing up. Gonna write a letter and tell him how grateful i am, that because of him I never felt like I lacked something because my biological dad wasn't there. So here's to stepparents. ♡

    I went through the same thing and it is true that your dad ( the MAN that raised you) is going to feel insecure. That's normal but you need to reassure him of your feelings. On your biological fathers case , mine actually got back together with my mother so he feels this "relief" like he can just brush off what he has done. It's really weird but as long as you know who loved and raised you, I'm sure you'll be alright ! Much love ❤️

    That is so nice, I bet it will make him very very happy. I got married at 24, my husband already had two kids 9 and 11 years old. people don't realize how hard it is for stepmoms and stepdads. I wish their mom could have gotten past the differences she had with their dad so that we could have made things easier for the kids. I loved them with all my heart and the hardest thing for me was to pull back from them at a certain point because their mum was making them feel bad and guilty for loving me and enjoying their time with me, she made them feel like they were betraying her. Today those two kids are all grown up and I can honestly say I hope I was a little ray that made them feel a little more comfortable if not a little more happy. I have two kids of my own now a 10 years old and a 4 years old, and I have promised myself if me and their dad decide to go our seperate ways I will do everything I can in my power to be nice to the new woman that would come in their life. See knowing my husband I have no doubt that he would bring a bad person on his kids life, because he loves them, and that is what we have to keep in mind...

    Fangirl Faye damn wish I could relate. Dad left me and my mum when I was 1. My mum started serial dating and introducing every single guy to me, regardless of the seriousness of their relationship. She finally got married 2 years ago after knowing the guy for a month at most. He treats me like I don't exist, and it feels like I'm living in a house with strangers. Luckily I'm moving out next year but it just sucks that I never had a father figure and my mum was always seeking attention from men so I never had a strong relationship with her either.

    This is why I always argue when people say parents should stay together for the sake of the kids. If the parents aren't getting along, but divorce could give the kid a loving family like this (and like mine), then it should be an option. And I know that unfortunately not all divorced or blended families are like this, but I firmly believe that it's not because of the divorce in those cases. It's because of the people.

  • @EreneWOlson

    @EreneWOlson

    +Cassidy Parker Knight when people say stay together for the sake of the kids i'm pretty sure they mostly mean if the relationship is damaged but still repairable. I think it's just to say try a little harder for the kids since although a lot don't have this but, a two parent household is the norm. Also every child is different and handles situations in different ways, so it's basically saying just keep your child's feelings in mind when thinking about divorce.

  • @victoriahillmitchell3982

    +Daisy Long the selfish thing is to put your child through misery because you dont believe in divorce. your child should never think a norm relationship is fighting and mistreating. after 4 years of staying for my child I decided I was worth more then lies, & cheating.. my son is great and his step dad is his best friend. you are right we will all issues but you should not be unhappy.

  • @victoriahillmitchell3982

    +Daisy Long people change. you go through different stages before you settle into who you truly are. my son was not planned and before you throw the you should've used protection, I did and it became detatched. so how bout you shut your judgemental trap. its awesome when parents can stay together but if they cant its wonderful when you find someone who loves your child as much as you do.

    This is so true! My parents are divorced and it's hard on me, but that's not because of the fact that they're split up, it's because unfortunately my mum continues to be toxic about it. All I want is for both my mum and dad to be happy, but they won't let that happen. And yet despite this I'm so glad they're not together, because as broken as my family is, it would be more broken if they were. Thanks for commenting this, because it's a really important message, and thanks soul pancake.

    +Cassidy Parker Knight I agree. And also if the kid sees that it's parents aren't getting along and aren't happy together this can affect kid's whole life and /for example/ when the kid is about to get married it will be under pressure will he/she make the partner happy and can he/she build a strong emotional and physical bond between the family members.

    I wouldnt say jealous a much as in you can't say much and the state favors the mother so whatever mom wants mom gets even if its to the detriment of the kids/alienated parents. Do *not* tell me otherwise until you wear my boots. None of us were told growing up how our families can be played into the drama as well. I do not sleep well nor do I speak much. At this point I haven't seen my kids in two months and nobody cares except them and I. Edit: yes this was hard to watch. Especially when these situations are like ogres and onions.

It is an ideal situation, but there is a reason parents get in these situations in the first place... some people don’t want to be parents even, after they separate from the other parent. It is a beautiful statement and dream, but a lot of the time not the case.

  • @bokarndiaye323

    @bokarndiaye323

    I disagree with you, EatwithmeASMR. There's plenty of counterexamples to this: many adopted children, or children in reboud families, have the unconditional love of their parents, and many biological parents don't provide unconditional love - think of parents who are abusive to their child, or who throw them out because they're gay (which is litteraly putting the condition of being straight to their parental love...). So, you can't equate blood connection and unconditional love, because obviously, one can exist without the other, and having one doesn't guarantee the other.

When my ex decided to re marry the only thing I could think of is, I hope she is a wonderful women not just for him bit because it meant that my daughters would have someone wonderful too. Took me to the hospital as I had a hard time breathing. Held me as I cried over my first heart break. Taught me how to drive. Never once did he tell me he my dad or that I was his daughter. Shayan Abtahi I read yours and the other people above you's posts and it makes me feel so sad, because I also can relate. I'm angry bc I always wanted what the little boy has. And be able to see my parents in the same room together at least once, bc I never have, I was 1 when they divorced and the wars between them began, but this also makes me so happy because that boy will grow up with love and he will be one of the lucky few who maybe won't have to deal with depression or feeling of emptiness not having a certain parent in his life or growing up around so much hatred. This video was so amazing❤️ makes me certain my kids will never have to grow up In a household with divorced parents, and if they ever did, I would be certain there is no hatred.

    My BF is divorced with a son of 11 yrs old. The kid lives with his mom. I am going to be a step mother too in the future. I am unsure about how the kid will take it. I only want him to be happy. What would a boy of this age expect from all this situation? What advice will you give to a step mom?

    This is .00000001% of step Parents... the biggest issue is they simply want to continue their relationship (Parents) when they are with someone else. So sad, but glad it is working for these people.

    It is common for Humans who had a good realationship with their parents. That those persons, automatically choose a partner who looks a bit like their parents. So if the man had a great realationship with his mom, then he would more likely chooes a partner who looks, act, behave or sounds bit like his mother. 60-70% Men 30-40% Women It is most likely not because he/she finds it attractive. It is more about, feeling safe an protected.

    SCP-087 just remember it is perfectly normal for them to not get along, when relationships (especially a marriage) end there will always be certain feelings that "muddy the waters" so to speak, but it is also perfectly normal for you to love them both, when you get older ask both of them for there sides of the story, and come to your own conclusion. My father abandoned my family when I was two, and for most of my life no one would speak about him except for in negative ways, so when I moved out at 18 I tracked him down, and started talking to him, eventually I got his side of the story and found his reasoning for leaving to be inadequate, and I hated him for the longest time, but as I got older I began to realize that I couldn't go around holding on to that hatred, it was ruining my life. So I did the only thing I could think of, i tried to forgive him; except I never got the chance as he committed suicide before I could. Now everyday I feel horrible for how things turned out, and i wish I had just one more chance to see him and tell him that I forgive him. I guess the point I'm trying to make is whoever was at fault for the divorce, you don't have to hate them for it, as in my experience that is no way to live. Love your family with every ounce of your being, as they're the only one you have, and this is the only shot at life we get.

Have a great day and DFTBA.
