It's mind boggling she allowed that to continue for so long. I despise firing my employees. By far the worst part about being an owner, and it literally keeps me up at night so it's not a decision I make on emotion. You gotta separate your feelings from your business though. Doesn't matter if it's my son or my best friend, there are standards, and if you don't live up to them, I'll find someone else who will.

Why would she care? Her mom and sister put up their homes, per her own admission she only put up $1k and her expenses are being paid. But… the mom and sister are also accountable, they are frustrated but being majority owners they also have the majority to force Tatiana to make changes or remove her as an active participant in the business. It really feels like Tatiana has always gotten her way growing up and this is what happens when they don’t earn their way there. She lacks the confidence that she would have gained by getting pushback and learning how to deal with conflict.

I can imagine how she came to buy the place. Her hanging out with her coworkers bragging about how she'd run things if she owned the place. Then the owner telling everyone he was going to be closing the place and retire, then she thinks 'This is my chance' with the prodding from her coworkers, and indebts her mom and sister whispering lies of how successful it is and how its easy money. Then it brings us to where she is now in this episode. Unable to change or be the boss in the eyes of her coworkers thinking she'd lose their respect.@@medievalpeanut4269

Not too crazy if they all believed in the restaurant. What's crazy to me is that they put their houses up, didn't seem to have a contract or anything else to show for their investment, AND they seemingly had zero say. What? They are Angel investors, should be partners, and they should be keenly aware of the what the books look like. Additionally, all three of the ladies should have known what was going on in the kitchen and freezers/refrigerators. They should also be eating there and tasting the food at least periodically. Ramsey had one craptastic meal and went straight to the kitchen to find out why it was so bad... in the span of less than 12 hours. They've had years.

The one thing I love about Gordon Ramsey is he is way more savage with the owners when he sees they treat their waiters/waitresses bad. He was respectful with Tatiana until after the food then he went beast mode on her. I truly believe it was because Tatiana snapped at the waitress. He is always firm but way more calm and respectful with owners when they treat their waitresses respectful.

Casemero is in many ways the problem with modern hiring practices. "He's been a head chef in an Italian restaurant for 15 years, he must know what he's been doing." People simply fail up. It is difficult to impossible to change career fields because people are only evaluated by experience, and someone with ten years of experience failing will get hired before someone with six months of experience and a lot of potential.

The thing is that there is very much a cultural difference here. I’m Latina and watching Casemiro make meatballs I IMMEDIATELY clocked that he was cooking them like Albondigas. We also have a tendency to hold onto food as this is what we were taught by our families because you can’t waste something so precious, like food It’s not that he doesn’t know how to cook, it’s just this is the difference between a home cook and a chef and you can’t have a home cook run a restaurant.

In that situation, for sure, I would not be refusing to work faster, preparing dishes just one at a time, and essentially saying I don't care. Refusing to keep cooking and take in the criticism and adjust. He basically quit with his attitude. If dishes are coming back and have to be remade, then he knew there were complaints and should have asked what was wrong with the food sent out. Plus in 15 years at an Italian restaurant where sales are bad, I would be trying to improve the food, for example by learning how to put seasoning in Italian meatballs and cook them with flavour. A chef who boils his unseasoned meatballs is either not tasting his own food or else has no palate.

Casemiro may have been manipulative but Tatiana is the real problem. She’s so afraid of hurting his feelings yet takes her anger & frustration out on everyone else. She treats her mom & sister like crap & the rest of the staff as well. Never, ever get as close to an employee as Tatiana did with Casemiro, it looks bad & makes the other employees uncomfortable & resentful, as they should be, especially under this owner & chef. From moment one I hated Tatiana, the way she behaved so self centered & so dismissive of her mother & sister. The moral of the story, NEVER, EVER PUT UP COLLATERAL FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO START A BUSINESS! A very large percentage of the time there’s going to be resentment & bickering & can literally tear your family apart.

I'm sure her mother spoiled her very much as you can see her mother just smiling and really quiet throughout the entire episode. However, you see that her mother is heartbroken to see her daughter act that way. She's probably thinking, "Oh no, I raised my daughter wrongly. What have I done?" The entire time. And even more disgusting, Tatiana didn't apologize to her mom and her sister to make their house on jeopardy for her stupid dream. She only thinks of herself until the end.

hmmm I think she refers that he saved her from being weak minded and not getting rid of some damaging stuff. But we'll never know what she actually meant. Maybe she really was selfish, but that's a good thing to spot.

Ok i know this video is at least 2 years old but kudos to the server serving Ramsey. I'm only a few minutes into his first impression meal but it seems like you worked up a lot courage to quietly tell him whats been going on...even though you had an audience watching, sime with absolute daggers in their eyes. 👏👏👏

I'm sorry, I need to take a second to appreciate: a Spanish man, cooking Italian food, that apparently looks and tastes Chinese. The man is a cultural enigma. As many people have pointed out to me he's probably actually Mexican, I just heard him speaking Spanish and somehow forgot there's plenty of places besides Spain that speak the language. If anything, that extra distance just makes him even more of an enigma.

I respect her for not throwing a tantrum on Gordon and actually recognizing her situation. She does have a big mouth on her own, but she's going a lot of places for becoming a good listener. Humbleness is starting to show and that's amazing, I really hope she continues like this.

@@FilthyFrankenjoyer Unfortunately she's too late to realize that, in the end of the day, she said that Gordon saved her life while in fact Gordon saved her mom and sister's house which they put on the line for her! And guess what, because of her incompetence leadership, the place got closed few months after the episode aired.

This episode was hard to watch. It’s clear Tatiana is a child who was never told no who has now grown up to be an adult. Except, instead of her mom saying yes to chocolate for dinner, her mom said yes to putting the family’s future on the line. For 15 years, Tatiana was clearly a very incompetent owner, who didn’t care much to improve the restaurant. Why would she? This whole thing was funded by mommy. She had barely invested a dime. For their sake, I hope the restaurant succeeded.
