  You can tell by the language that the stepdad is using "my restaurant", that it was not his intention for the restaurant to be a cooperative effort. Nor did he really acknowledge that from a financial perspective, it was never his restaurant.

  This is why i wouldnt hire a family member atleast in a higher position in control of something. Maybe let them work up the ladder if they show u they're gonna do it but my brother would start at dish washer. Theyd probably get priority in promotions but only if they show drive.

  All things aside many sushi places freeze the fish, flash freezing is one of the methods of killing parasites in sashimi grade fish, which is not uncommon at all. Unless you're getting it in the morning fresh haul at 3am from the fish market in Japan and having it air flown to wherever you are, the fish is most likely frozen. I'd be concerned if it were not. Texture is all about how it is thawed.

  One of the objections I have is : the sweet tea...the Southern states actually drink very sweet iced tea don't they? Like those from the Deep South... somehow I I don't think Gordon Ramsay knew that
