As much as I would love to have the chamber strings library, $900.00 eliminates me as a customer.

Nice demos. I just wish that the screen was 5% Oliver and not 5% Spitfire interface. Watching on a smaller monitor / phone it's almost impossible to make out the extended articulation names and specific interface functions.

It's amazing how this is still a common issue for Spitfire videos. I'm interested in buying the library, not Oliver, Homay, Paul, or Christian. I still find good use out of many of their releases, but it is frustrating.

The video makes it look like there are additional articulations in the pro version. The product page does not make that clear. The product page only talks about the extra mic positions. Is there a list someplace or a comparison chart?

When using these libraries, do you tend to use keyswitches to change articulations, or do you tend to have each articulation on a separate track?

From the template videos they show: separate tracks. ... but I guess depending on the circumstances, both approaches can work.

With this library I'm inclined to do separate tracks then commit them as soon as I can to conserve CPU. I find with keyswitches the tonality of the instrument changes a little, so I can always pick up where the switch is, which is an unwanted side effect. With the Solo Strings library there's a total performance patch that works really well for different articulations on the fly, though it's only been created for the violin. Spitfire needs to do one for violas and cello as an update.

Korg NanoKontrol 2. One of the cheapest MIDI fader controllers on the market, but still works quite well. Larger controllers with 100 mm faders give more precise control, and the prices reflect that.

Thanks for the video! I know this may seem trivial, but is there any way to change the name of the library in Kontakt to display 'chamber strings professional'? Would be nice to see that when you pay all that money and also for consistency, as the other professional versions display 'professional' in the title.. would appreciate any insights from anybody!

The short answer is no. The new content shows up under "Spitfire Chamber Strings." There's two main reasons I can understand for this. First, it allows them to offer the additional mic positions as their own download, rather than requiring users to redownload the whole library under a new name (like you have to with the "Studio Orchestra" series). Second, it's cheaper for Spitfire because they don't have to issue new Kontakt licenses for a separate library (like they did with the "Studio Orchestra" series). I agree it'd be nice to have "Pro" in the title (...like the "Studio Orchestra" series), but I've made peace with it. :)

I use it for dynamics. It may seem a bit too small, but it works fantastically for scoring and it's super cheap!

Could have done with more articulations being played from all 5 sections and less talking about what we already know. Plus the GUI screen was far too small in the frame, however, what we did hear sounded very nice indeed.

Can I use this software with midi accordion Rolland FR7. It has several midi channels for bass, cords, orchestral sounds and accordion sounds . I can play it at once in real time. The question is: is it possible to play several VST channels at the same time if I’d use midi accordion as midi controller?

While I appreciate the production quality and your attempt to humanize your overview videos, I have no desire or need to see Oliver's (or anyone's) face. The only face I want to see here is the interface!
