Overnight survival in the Michigan wilderness

Ойын-сауық

Just three guys getting out into the wilderness practicing some basic bushcraft and survival skills. We mix in a little water filtration, shelter building, fire starting and of course tons of rants around the fire.

Similar terrian to southern Indiana and Ohio. Matter of fact I wouldn't know the difference just by watching the video. The title gives it away in where the rough location is. Thanks for a great video.

*ProTip:* don't filter water from dirty puddles. If you must, let that sediment sink to the bottom or pre-screen through a bandanna. That fine silt will clog up your filter faster than you can imagine. Whatever you do, NEVER put your filter/clean-side hoses into untreated water sources. I'd definitely recommend tarp type shelters, as they're much faster to put up & take down. You also won't leave behind evidence of a camp. No trace camping is not just for the granola eaters, it's for Patriots too. Only half a demerit, due to natural materials but the criticism stands.

All good info! It was a good learning experience for sure and we really just wanted to try our hand at some primitive shelter building lol

Maybe one day you can come to North Carolina and we can do a weekend out in my woods and I can come to Michigan and do a weekend out in your woods see the difference in a climate and how it affects your gear in my climate compared to my gear in your climate..

Does your water filtration system have anti microbial filters? I would consider boiling your filtered water prior to consumption if it doesn't.
