Leaving the place better then you found it is what it's about when finding a cabin
In Australia, "Abandoned cabin" just means that it belongs to gigantic spiders now, and they're not accepting extra tenants.

You really make me think that hard is normal and pushing yourself to the limits is the way to go. Thank goodness for people like you and your mates.
Putting a "bandaid" on the roof was a nice neighborly thing to do. Maybe the next person will do something else and so on. I always enjoy your videos.
Glad to find an amazing youtuber to add to my stream

Welcome aboard, my friend
It's a beautiful day for a 12k hike. Hmmm let's do it. Can't blame you there. Usually there are not as many people adventuring when it's raining.
Like I said before...there are very few channels I don't skip through. This one I watch end to end so good on you man. Great work and I'm looking forward to seeing what more effort looks like

Your a good man Noah I love how you always leave it better than you found it.
This is awesome! Reminds me of a cabin we discovered while hiking/canoeing up north in Saskatchewan when I was young. It was dumping rain and we were SO thrilled to have found shelter, only to discover the roof was basically a sieve. 😂 But we put our garbage bag rain suits on and fixed up the place as much as possible, and put on a fire. It was warmer than outside and we were young and healthy enough that everything was a fun adventure! :)
A macgyver job Noah! He’d be proud. 🇨🇦

Hi, Noah! Good on you for giving the cabin’s roof some love😊👏👏👏👏👏
Nice cottage to come and relax. Good swimming there.
"All my kingdom for an axe." Great video. Thanks.
White chocolate covered oreos has been my go to hiking snack for long trips. The amount of calories they give is awesome and they are amazing anyway.

You're so nice to fix that roof and stove pipe up. What a sweet little place.
Be cool to see you return to this place
I like the fact to always do repairs and maintenance when you leave a camp .
That little cabin could be fixed up to be a nice place to camp and fish.
Your channel should have a million subscribers
Good fix with what you had Noah ! As long as it's in the bush it's all good , repairs & nice cook up looked awesome :)
Love what you're doing mate, that's a beautiful part of the world.
Great video as always! We need more people like you who take the time to fix something without being asked.
Thanks Noah, you walked into a rough situation with bare minimum resources to repair the neglected cabin, left it better than it was. {:-)
So wonderful to see your video. Noah you've been missed. Fantastic repair on the roof with what you had on site. Looking forward to upcoming explorations.
Always stoked to see the Northern Scavenger notification! Thanks for another beautiful video. Keep on paying it forward. Where's Alex? Hope all is well.

I'm amazed at how many cabins you visit that are unlocked and seemingly open for anyone in the Nova Scotia backcountry. Is that sort of an expectation of cabin owners and builders?
@stevebobrowicz9626
2 ай бұрын
If you lock it, people break in. If you leave it unlocked, it might get used but chances are it won't be wrecked
@LoBeau53
2 ай бұрын
@@stevebobrowicz9626exactly. That is standard practice in the back country. Nobody minds if someone uses their cabin as long as they don’t destroy it leave it better than you found it for the owner or the next person who needs it. If you can leave food, fire wood , and like a sign I found in one said, sex toys. Just because it isn’t being used doesn’t mean it is abandoned
@NorthernScavenger

In Nova Scotia we have many of these backwoods cabins. The ones I've visited have all been public, or I've gotten permission from the owner. This one is a little different as it was built in a protected wilderness area and there is no documentation of a camp lease, which suggests the spot may have been illegally built

Now, that’s my kind of food - a strip steak. Just brown it on both sides and eat it. It won’t kill you.
I love watching your channel, one of the things I enjoy is it's not all about killing the wildlife, it's not all about building your own homestead and 'sweat equity' - it feels like Canadian you tube wilderness is about something else - the wilderness and not about boys toys and so on. Also - as a Brit (whose family nearly emigrated to Canada, and whose cousins and aunt and uncle did) I love that there's all these British English phrases that turn up. Crappy being one. that feels British English, and some others I noticed on other vids. anyway thanks for the videos. great job.
@shariwuebben7280

Crappy is common American English too! I think it's universal! Cold, rainy, weather, the only word that fits is crappy!
That cabin and its location looks like a secret shop from an RPG game. So cool
Good job Mr Fixit. You gave that shitty shelter a new life and somebody else will benefit. But that's how you roll. Gotta love it. 'preciate you.
It's a very beautiful spot. It's just in need of some TLC.
I had a 2004 Matrix. It was a tank!!! I now have a Tacoma. Thanks for the adventure. Cheers from New Brunswick.
Really good video. Enjoyed the Mcguyveresque cabin improvements! You left the cabin in a better state than it was and that's a very good thing to do.
Impressive roof repair considering the resources!
The green laken hanging from spruces we call woodbeard in my country. what a weet day, brrr, and sleep on an OLD mattress is discusting, I prefer a bench without anything on then and would bring my own sleepingmatt and sleepingbag. Food looked good yes.The surroundings look like in Finland/Suomi, the thousand lakes country it is called. Like people who improve places they are visiting that is a very good thing to do, thank you o
Another quality adventure! I was not born with the handyman gene, so I'm always impressed to see folks try to repair stuff with little or no tools. Great backwoods repair! That stove, tho. It may be a goner. ☹️
Nice work on the leaks! You are so adventurous
Love this stuff. Glad there are others who do this stuff for fun. Now I don't feel like a weirdo😂
Awesome repair with the tools in hand. Great adventure and fun to watch!
That wee cabin is a gem to find and could be renovated , A great place for those traveling through to stay. and what a pretty area. Hey so kind of you to put a temporary fix on the camp hopefully more that come across it will do them same.
