I do cardio when cutting but when I’m bulking trying to gain muscle mass I cut out a lot of cardio just because it’s a struggle for me to eat the required calories to bulk already. When I do start back cardio after a bulk I can tell a big difference and it takes me a good little bit to get that cardio endurance back even after just a couple months of not doing it often. I agree, strength and cardio is very important in many aspects, not just defense. Great video and great topic KP!

Good one brother, thanks for posting. It does get trickier as we get older. Like you say it is best to have a balance between cardio and strength workouts. Dont forget good diet - try to eat as 'all natural' as possible - chicken with vegetables from the garden is as all natural as it gets. While weights are good, dont rule out good old isometric workouts. Push ups, sit ups, pull ups...amazing how many people can do a few pull ups. So at 57 most people assume I'm 10 yrs younger. It doesnt matter I do it for the health of it. I started to keep in shape for long distance mountaineering trips - the idea is you want to make it back haha. I basically do 'maintenance workouts since I hit 55 - I jog a measured mile most every day, and through out the day sets pull ups. I go through kenpo martial arts kata sets and stretches. You got to make time and the way that worked for me is develop a daily routine and stick with it - you'll never forget to work out
