On almost every test I have seen the Silver tips have performed really well. Not to mention they are very economical so you can actually train with them.

In my experience they do really well out of short barrels from watching many other tests. So I carry them in my Diamondback DB9. @@TheKentuckyPatriot

Thanks for the follow-up. I want to give these a try in my carry because I like the performance for EDC. Great job!! Ignore the whiners/complainers. This is your channel, your tests, answering your questions and you are kind enough to share your results with us. Yes, that was nice expansion. Me, I carry FMJ, 'cause that is what I have, and I practice with what I carry. I really don't expect to need to protect myself. I don't go anywhere shady etc. Best of luck to you all.

I have actually incorporated them into my 9mm that I carry while hiking/fishing. I still carry a.40 for edc but they really impressed me in 9mm. Thanks for watching :-)

@@TheKentuckyPatriotAt my age, I have multiple orthopedic surgeons including one for the hands, so carrying a .40 is out of the question. But (for now) the 9 mm works for me and this might be a viable carry round.

They did better than some other tests I've seen using them, In my 9mm I use the 124gr+P HSTs, I have some defense rounds that are standard pressure, Sig Elite 124gr and some Underwood 124gr+P & 90gr +P and +P+ I have some critical defence 115gr, Have you seen the new Taurus TH-10? Here in central Florida, I can tell you I've known young men selling their products on the street, wearing a silk tee shirt and regular tee shirt over that and a hoodie for an outer layer in our summer and year round. The hope id hoodie plugs a hollow point and slowing it to the point maybe for the silk to hold on to it so it might be able to be pulled back out. it might not work but that's what he told me.

i used to have a different channel a small one, doing balistics testing and there was a day i drove up to the mountains and had forgot my 4 layers of denim... so i took my pants off and folded them over the jugs and shot through the ankle part of both pant legs. lol

I have a few boxes of the Winchester Varmint HE segmenting. 37 grain 1425fps, I am wondering if they are the same as the Silvertip only copper washed instead of nickel? Have you seen or tried the HE rounds?

No, I don't think I have ever even heard of those. I am not sure how they would compare to the silver tips. I am always willing to learn and test different rounds. I appreciate you watching 🙂

Have you considered the 9mm all copper “Extreme Defender” cartridge loaded by Underwood?

The video is available on his channel as well as linked on the Underwood website on the Extreme Defender page. Still, I’d like to get your opinion on its performance if you can get a box for testing.
