They both joined their teams 4-6 months apart, and were both really similar in the improvement of each club. Obviously big difference Poch even spoke of: Liverpool need new GK and CB, they go get best players. we were 'run of the mill'?? 😂😂😂 1. Didn't allow spurs a single shot on target in 1st leg despite playing a brand new system, 2. If we had taken our chances, we would have scored at least 2 if not 3, 3. Spurs were kept in first leg when ref wrongly didn't send off Romero, 4. Created all the best chances last night, allowed spurs almost nothing, forced their keeper into a big save, and also hit the post. We did this despite the fact that we were not financially in a position to capitalise on winning the league and hence didn't strengthen. We have no strength in depth, and so for us to compete, we need the same 8-9 players to be available 3 games a week every week. The money spurs spent on Romero amounts to 80% of our entire transfer budget for 22/23 season. I'm the most realistic of football fans, but bar not taking chances, we were far superior in every department. two centre backs under 22 years of age, and we literally allowed seasoned performers like Kane and son anything. Son for one never got a kick. Typical English ignorance. If Spurs had gone through post not conceding, you would be sitting here saying it was a resolute display and hailed their togetherness and ability to deny the opposition.

I'm not annoyed at Conte - the person/people I'm annoyed with as a Spurs fan is Levy and ENIC for repeatedly doing the same thing to every manager we've had since Poch was fired after he said the club need to rebuild but was instead shown the door after not being able to get a performance out of the squad he said needed to be pulled apart and rebuilt. We've still not done that, despite now having had Mourinho, Nuno and Conte all saying the same thing and that we need to change the players and rebuild if we want to compete. Conte has not been given any kind of assurances that he's going to be backed if he does sign a contract and I have no doubt he's already seen how Levy and ENIC are going to continue to gimp any manager financially that comes to Spurs and still expect "improvement" in the club's pursuit of silverware and its not realistic - why on Earth would ANY manager stay at Spurs under this hierarchy? They've surely ALL seen by now that ENIC and Levy are in it for the money the stadium and facilities are going to churn out for them on the 5-6 other days of the week when the Spurs stadium is empty/being used for Formula 1 karting, concerts, event hire, NFL games etc etc. Levy and ENIC couldn't care less about whether we win silverware in the next century or not - they only care how many zeroes are after the first digit in their bank account balance. Conte, just like Mourinho, is more than aware of how Levy and co operate and they know all the complaining in the World will not change that - I feel like both Mourinho and Conte were brought in by Levy to placate the fans who were all calling for ENIC and Levy to go and prove they have the club's interest at heart by bringing in managers known to win things and be serial winners. They knew full-well that without being backed it wouldn't matter if we had God managing us, we are not gonna progress or win anything and that is what Levy and ENIC have done yet again - they've bought/loaned in a handful of players (some of which are clearly not up to standard either) to make it appear like we're backing Conte but in reality we still have donkeys like Dier, Sanchez and the like littering our squad and players like Moura who although I love him, he's been past it for 2-3 years minimum. Levy and ENIC don't care about Spurs - they will do this same thing to every manager we get whilst they are still in charge and there is nothing we can do to change that besides pray that they sell to investors / a group who are actually going to rebuild the squad and consistently spend money on the team and supporting the manager they bring in rather than just going "Here's Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and a bunch of other mediocre players who would struggle to nail down a place for a 1st division side - work your magic or there's the door" to every manager we have recruited.

Conte, Mourinho, and Pochettino are not rubbish managers. Spurs problem is Daniel Levy not spending enough money on the squad. Spurs need 2 top quality central defenders and 2 top quality central midfielders. That's the foundation of good team. Spurs have never had that. They have always been top heavy. You can't get away with that today. Even Keegan's Newcastle got found-out in the end back in 90's and they were a lot better than this Spurs team.

Conte is a whiner and always has been, in my opinion. He’s great when results are going good and will credit himself. When it starts going bad it’s everyone else’s fault. He’ll blame the players, the board, the chairman, even the fans. He’s got a massively inflated opinion of himself. He thinks he’s bigger and better than Spurs and believes he’s doing them a favour.

Tottenham have not bought/developed the players in order to compete with the best teams in the Prem. Arsenal were in the same position for the last decade or so but they have bought well and developed some great young talent. The new stadium (and paying for it) may be a short term issue, like it was with Arsenal but, Tottenham are perennial under performers.

What I've noticed these so called serial winning managers and it happens time and time again is when they have done well they simply go from one easy job to another ie a team with world class player that are slightly underachieving and then win a title, as soon as these world class managers as you so call them go to a club which is not full of world class players and then given millions to spend on top all of a sudden they don't look as good and blame not enough money or clubs fault. Since the Special One took over United he suddenly not getting these elite/clubs that only need tweaking and Tottenham could be Contes fall from grace. For all Pep Guardiola has achieved he also hasn't had to drag a club up into the Elite bracket and spent I imagine Billions. They all go where they can spend millions + have an excellent squad all ready instead of building something and actually doing a very good job. As soon as something goes wrong and through their toys out of the pram. The job the likes of Potter did at Brighton is as good as any of these so called managers I honestly think the likes of Pep Guardiola Mourinho Conte would struggle to achieve the same, they are treated like spoilt brats and surprise surprise then act like one.

Conte has no excuse to put up that kind of performance all season long and essentially blame it all on the club. If Conte can only work with high quality signings, then he isn't a top manager. A top manager is supposed to get the best out of your players and Conte showed no signs of that this season. He tries to fit the players into his one and only tactic and if that fails, he has no backup gameplan. He isn't a top manager for me until he wins more tournament cups and shows tactical flexibility.

We are fans are being unrealistic with the situation, it's either Levy sells this club for the new owners it to move it to the next level or find partners whom will invest heavily in Spurs, until then, Spurs are not a trophy competing club, that's the simple truth, you want to know why? Let me ask you this, why are we not talking about Jude Bellingham not signing for Spurs or Spurs not signing him, why are pundits journalists ex players not asking Spurs to sign Rashford Saka Mbappe FDJ, or any other top football player out there? Spurs fans, pundits journalist need to understand the place of Spurs as it stands in English football and European cup competitions. Until the club financial power rise up high, Spurs will not be able to compete with clubs like PSG Man United Man City Chelsea etc.. With this kind of budget, Spurs can't compete with the best, maybe they will be in a position of having a good cup run once in a while, but it won't be consistent. Even this same Arsenal that is topping the table now is a shock to many, nobody will tell me upright that they foresaw Arsenal being where they're now at the end of last season.

The answer is nobody in recent history, Tottenham are just one of those clubs that winning trophies is something there not known for, their just a middle of the road kinda of club. For this to change there gonna need greater financial backing than what they have currently got. I suppose it could be worse they could be psg.

Whatever level you compete at - you have to compete.......Spurs wen't out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League looking like a whipped and cowed dog. That is totally unacceptable to the fans, both the manager AND the players have to take responsibility for the terrible performances against both Sheffield and Milan. It feels as though the team desperately lacks purpose, clarity and effective leadership. Again, while a good amount of this short coming rests with the manager - the players also bear a significant degree of responsibility - look at the level of experience in that Spurs side - they are not exactly a bunch of kids, practically all of them are experienced professionals, they have the agency to change things up on the pitch, even if that means deviation from what the manager has asked, you can't just hide behind 'I was just following orders ', as a player you are well aware of when the tactics are failing - you need to take control and make a difference.
