I didn’t realize it wasn’t deck plated to begin with. The power potential of this engine is crazy! Keep up the hard work I wish I was closer so I could offer you some help for crunch time lol

Might save the vacation days for a few more days of deer hunting...my man. Same thought process as mine. "A front is moving through, its Friday, do I work on the truck after work or do I hit the woods...I'm hitting the woods. Work on the truck Sunday". Good choice on the deck plate man and as always best of luck.

its too bad Mahle never brought the steel pistons for the 6.7 to the market, that would eliminate that issue altogether.

Looks like better get to sourcing some roughly 1" aluminum spacers to put under intercooler so hopefully you don't have to change all the turbo and intake pipes...maybe time to think using some titanium or more aluminum to get this weight out and sourcing a good 9" with aluminum center section and spool for winter project lithium 16v battery that's close to 30# right there with alternator delete and lighter battery

So if you deck the head, are you going to have to increase the stroke with new connecting rods? Does this effect the compression? I understand the process, just not he function I guess. Anyway man, keep it up, never miss a video. Love this channel!!

The deckplate is basically a 1" spacer on top of the block, so 1" longer rods, push rods and head studs. It'll be the same engine, just 1" taller and stronger

pull the pin on the 4x4 and go to a first gen dodge short box. the gasser boys get the 440 iron block aluminum head trucks down to 3100-3300 pounds. 2 Wheel are the fastest vehicles on the planet. And it’s gonna save you money. 👍
