I'm with you. The stealing problem was not nearly as bad when the candles were 5 dollars in the 90s. There might have been thefts here and there, but no "crime rings." Fast forward to the exact same wages as 1992 and 30$ candles, and you have a problem.

Let's do some math: 350 candles in a month, retail 12 bucks each. That's $4200. Now, you're not going to able to resell them at retail, so let's figure 6-7 bucks a candle on the high end(even lower to a fence/wholesaler), now we're at $2275 max. Factor in the time it took to steal them all, say 1-2 hours a day for five people for a month, and then factor in the time it took to resell them all (figure half that) that's $6.75 an hour to be a criminal. Good job guys.

I've personally been advertised to: "I got them bath and body candles and sprays" and back in the early 2000's, we had a guy that would come to our job and sell us knock off purses and accessories. It's lucrative and there are consumers 🤷🏽‍♀️

I never understand why they smile like that in mug shots. You have a police record now or a charge added. Later on in life, if you decide to straighten up, which there are people who do turn a new leaf, when things aren't going the way you want it with a good paying job and benefits, you can't blame the world for rejecting you as many will blame the world. Keeping a clean record will open doors even without an education and with an education, they will open sooner. I'm only fortunate that I did my B.S. that got me in trouble with the law when I was a teen. People like that woman smiling gets under my skin and disgust me.

Governments won't have to mandate it, people will volunteer for it to make their lives easier. Just as they upload volumes of personal data to places like Facebook. Facebook has far more info on most people than governments could ever legally compile. At least western governments.

In Texas it's too much work to identify a gang member as being a gang member.
