My father and grandfather both went together out of Pearl Harbor (Civil Service) sometime between 1956 and 1960 I believe. I have pictures of my Dad playing his saxophone and my grandfather playing the ukelele to entertain people. I have his patch from the Operation. I will be talking with him more about this in the coming weeks during his 75th birthday celebration.

What an unexpected treat to find this film on KZread. My father, Richard Whitmer, was part of the wintering over crew of Deep Freeze One. He went down to The Ice two more times after that, I believe (maybe three), and he was never more proud of anything in his life. I'll always regret that I never interviewed him extensively about those experiences.

The mission "High Jump" in 1947 was planed for 6 month and there was a fight between Admiral Bird s marine and the rest of german submarines and flying disk , and Mr. Bird was interrupting his mission after 1 month , because he lost aeroplanes and warships....that was in 1947 ...the second expedition you are looking at that video....

Bullshit. High Jump wasn't even the first US expedition out to Antarctica, it was the fourth. After High Jump, there was a 5th called "Windmill" and Deep Freeze was the 6th, which Byrd was not even apart of. There were also other expeditions taking place by multiple different nations.. why are there no stories of any of them "fighting german submarines and flying disks"? Use some damn logic.

I wintered over in 60-61 opeation deep freeze and it was something that I wouldn't trade for anything but would not do it again. I was very adverturvious and did a lot of things that I got in trouble for but had a great time during the summer. The winter was a cold and lonley place but was very interesting with the southern lights. What a place. I was at McMurdo Sound but got to go to Bird and Pole staions on flights. What a beautiful place.

Knowing there is God who loves you and cares for you when you call on His name is awesome, but prince of this world (Satan) will do anything to keep you from finding that truth so no wonder everything is so twisted from media to education and so on. Be careful. From what I've seen, Flat Earth makes people so open minded, their brains start falling out.. believing that other planets are just lights in the sky, nuclear energy is not real and other really crazy sh**. They basically lose all trust in science and anyone connected to any scientific field of study, which is scarily dangerous. Asking questions and seeking knowledge is great but try not to lose hold of reality and common sense (like most Flat Earthers) along the way.

@@Marijana-s6t I've heard many a Flat Earther bring that up before. Without properly explaining why his trip around Antarctica was delayed so long. What's more interesting is you folk seem to choose to believe that Cook circumnavigated Antarctica, but you ignore all the other purported circumnavigations over the poles themselves. Where people have reported literally flying over the South Pole in a straight line path that led them to the North. It's almost as if you are picking and choosing what you want to see and believe. Just like you clearly did with this video.

So, the US Navy 'got their asses kicked by 2 alien scout ships". But apparently the dozens of other countries that also sent expeditions out to Antarctica didn't meet the same fate. And, somehow, after all this chaos in this polar space battle, the US and every other nation continued to send expeditions to Antarctica right after with no issues.. to the point where, today, there are a ton of permanent bases on the continent that are inhabitated by scientists from every nation all year round.. and those alien scouts just let them be... No sinking of any bases or ships since this event "you won't hear about". Makes sense. 👍🏽
