i cant be fucked with gears anymore. I dont want to have to think about it. Im not into speed up through the gears enough to care. its so nice just jumping on a motorbike in through the city or even on long trips and not have to think about gears. it just makes my experience more enjoyable. But everyone to their own

Wonderful machine! Great bike all around. Price wise, a champ. The round display should be larger cause in a direct sunlight, the split second you need to look at the gauge longer could count vs safety. The DCT is a killer option. It makes the ride so much more relaxing.

FYI - My Rebel 1100 DCT will kill the engine if I’m in gear and put down the kick stand. Doesn’t pass neutral, goes straight to off. In the video you said it would go to neutral. Great video BTW! Used it to program my user mode to P2, T2, EB1 and D1 which is my favorite right now.

you are correct, the DCT control is the rpm shift points, in standard mode it tends to go to 6th gear quickly, I programed the user mode to change it to a higher up shift, better yet just put in manual mode mode and use the paddle shifters, you'll be amazed at how seamless it shifts, had mine for a week now

Plus I have a bad back and they were just too heavy. So I went to the local Honda dealer just to see what the had really but sat on the 1100 and it felt great. Light but sturdy. I'm 6'1" 300lbs but felt like it could carry me well. So I finish paperwork and pick it up on Saturday. Very excited.

How can you control the RPM on slow speed curves on a DCT? Like when I do slow turns, I use clutch on manual transmission to control the rpm rather than throttle, I guess that is more controlable. I’m wondering how can you do that with automatic? I find higher rpms with half clutch pressed on slow turns makes bike a bit more stable ... not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be done?

I asked the same question on the last video and I'm the same height haha. I submitted the bike to cycle-ergo.com and they have it up there now so you can see roughly how you'd look on the bike. Looks like it's more cramped than most cruisers but less cramped than most other standard/sport bikes (I'm coming from a VFR 800 and the riding position would be a lot less cramped for me). I can see how it would feel cramped for someone who is used to cruiser ergonomics though.
