If you are looking for any new charities for the proceeds from these...have you considered animal charities. In France there is the Moon family. Legacy of Legends is the name of their charity. They have a horse farm. Thoroughbred horses that are being sold to meat markets. These animals were used for years to gain racing fortunes for already rich people. As they age they're dumped and sold for meat. This family works with others to buy and rehouse them. Sadie Penthrick has one and give you more info.

Ah, most people collect something. It doesn’t even have to be valuable, or even beautiful, just of interest to the collector. I want to own the things I collect because I really, no fooling, see and enjoy them everyday. The collector’s instinct has fueled many collections belonging to our best museums, which in turn belong to us all.

@@carolz5090 I was married to an obsessive breweryania (beer stuff) collector. It took over our holidays, part of our home and our social life. I do not understand the Need to own something. Before I had my open heart surgery, I went through all my possessions and gave away or sold many things including my mother's china, jewellery, books, cds and dvd collections, clothing, art and personal papers. I do not want my children to have to decide what to do with years and years worth of stuff.

I LOVE watching Mummy open gifts. She has a child like expression of joy. She also reminds me of my mommy who loves to save gift paper as well. @@andyscot4844 Isabelle is not paid by the Patrons. Holidays are not paid for by the Patrons and they have said so many times. Stephanie can use her KZread money how she wants, plus the B&B is a separate entity. Isabelle and Stephanie's father worked hard their whole lives, so she is in retirement at 80 years old. Patrons vote on what their money is used for. This channel sends the KZread monies to charities, which is their choice.

She knows when people cross the line. Phillip should be more careful with his remarks. He used to be less bold back in the day - much more acceptable. Now he doesn't hold back about "our bedroom", things like that. They're not married, and who knows how long he'll be sharing Stephanie's bedroom. Gentlemen act more like Percy. Phillip needs to stop flaunting himself... It's unbecoming.

Those dishes are gorgeous!!! Special editions were collected one at a time every year it was not a set as such you had to wait for the edition every year. My aunt collected the christmas it took 12 years before we could eat Christmas dinner and not just look at them displayed.

It is so obvious that Covid and the time you spent away from your mom made you appreciate even more that she is there now, with you, and you two treasure every moment you have together!!!! I had so much fun watching this today. I think I really needed it. We just finished getting through several days without any power after Hurricane Fiona hit us hard in the Canadian Maritimes. Fortunately that was about all we had to worry about although my sister did have a very old tree fall but it missed both of their cars as well as their garage. The little cups and saucers with the matching teapots are just adorable and all of the rest of the gifts were so well chosen and generous as well.

Dishes in the shape of fruits and vegetables, or with them in relief, are called "barbotine". I love it and I have several, including a "plat à tarte" (pie plate) with a lid and a pear on it, resembling the one Philip has and nobody likes it and nobody knows how to use it or what it is made for :-D (it's made for pies, to keep the pie out of dust in the kitchen, because you don't put a pie in the fridge, and it's also useful when you have to carry a pie to someone's house or a picnic or whatever ;-) )

Plus, no deadly plastic (or cling) wrap needed to protect your food from the elements or 🪰pests🐜. 😔 Not surprised when ⚜️LaLanders 🤜knocked🤛 the pie plate. Although I retired early years ago at age 40 it seems like I still can't pedal fast enough and end up being consistently late to the party. May the gifts continue to multiply and help Stephanie's chosen charity each month prosper from the monetary donations generated by all the Chateau Unwrapped KZread views. By the way, I admit to being a little surprised with the boxed gift of food items I had sent through BienManger. Those gifts are usually sent in a BienManger boite cadeau or panier. The important thing is that they arrived promptly and will be enjoyed by one and all at Lalande.
