It's Valentine's Day at the Chateau as we all open wonderful gifts in our Entrance Hall...
In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZread earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

I worked in the fine fragrance manufacturing industry - Vetiver is a type of tropical grass. The Vetiver oil is distilled from the roots. The best Vetiver comes from Haiti. It forms the base notes of many fragrances, most often associated with male perfumery.

It’s a work in progress - but you eventually get there. The luxury of experiencing grief is that there are many around us experiencing the same. I love now that l have more energy, that l can reach out and support others, esp my special friend who lost her husband last year. The sadness never goes away but it does become less painful/ lonely xo

🥰This gave me fond memories of a trip to Salzburg 3 years ago with my sister and the Hotel Sacher there!!😍😍 What I love most about “Cadeaux” (besides the charity aspect) is getting to know the gift senders a bit closer. 💕💕 Also the wealth of information like the ceramic producers founded in 1492!!😮
Omg those Sacher Tortes are such an exclusive gift I hope to heavens they are still fresh enough to resemble a newly made one! There should be some form of label fir packages containing fresh food items so they can be singled out to be opened fast upon arrival. Such a thoughtful gift. All the generosity you receive for Christmas is astounding! Lovely to see all of you looking so well and happy❣️ Hope you all had a happy Valentines day! Cheers to Love💘🥂

Another wonderful video! Loved that Amaury shared the story of him tasting OATMEAL soap in his twenties!! Hilarious! When in South Africa recently Stephanie and Philip found that the vervet monkeys had found their way into Mummy and Percy's house. It reminds me of what happened to me in Hoekwil, South Africa. A monkey got in bathroom window while we were out. We came back to a bathroom filled with little bits of citrus soap EVERYWHERE!!! I don't want to make any inferences, but [Amaury] naughty little monkeys eat soap!! I'm sure you didn't spit it out all over the bathroom floor!!

You definitely don't want to burn a candle like she said. It'll create a well near the wick and the rest of the candle will be wasted. Always burn a candle until the whole top layer is melted so that it solidifies evenly and then it will burn til the absolute end with nothing wasted.
Amaury's attention to detail is perfect for an unwrapping with Wendy's gifts, because he notices every single little detail that she's thrown in and calls attention to it! Also, I'm relatively certain the adorable biscuit-toting creature is a guinea pig. They're almost as adorable as a hedgehog, but without the built-in social distancing mechanism.

I was just in Vienna for New Years' and we got a Sacher Torte....lovely. Go see the city, it was amazing.
I dont watch this channel has much but after seeing the beautiful talanted young lady in Africa in school and learning to be a fashion designer I am going to watch this channel when you post am also going to watch the ones i have missed. Vetiver is a high green grass and the roots are scented. It has long, long roots which are very good against soil erosion. We have a lot in my country and make fans from the roots.

The bag from Wendy has a Guinea pig, and gerbils are small with a long tail. I use to work at a pet shop, so yes we have had our own variety of pets from ferrets and pet rats which do make fun pets mine was named of course Remy, now we are down to a bird ,dogs, bearded dragon ,turtle a blind leopard geckos and lastly we have two pythons and one 7foot red tail boa and believe me when I say she is so sweet, oh I do have an Arabian horse my great joy.
