CADEAUX IN THE COURTYARD (AND MEETING CELESTE!!)
In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZread earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

Alzheimer's Research UK (in memory of all of the residents of my parents' nursing homes) €350

I used to show the gifts as part of 'The Chateau Diaries' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching @The Chateau Diaries gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us, and that by monetising this channel for charity we can pass on that joy to others 💖💖💖

Gerry! What a great report on the scene. Your big heart comes through in your interviews. The sunshine in todays Cadeaux looked lovely, as well as the laughter raising our spirits.

Honestly, I can't believe Gerry hasn't got an agent and a show of his own by now. He is a character and makes every one around him laugh with Joy. We need the Gerry Diaries - a roving show with Gerald interacting with everyone and anyone.

Just loved it about the " when Stephanie said she had 'popped up in a side bar!" My husband cannot believe how I am laughing in this other room sometimes by myself!! he needs to join me! Gerry is truly keeping so busy and joining in and being such a grand part of the work at La Lande on his own. Love the charities part and that is most important * Well not most important, but a big part of giving and receiving of life's success so it is said. * The gifts today are lovely! I love clothes like what Tatiana wears for special occasions. I feel somehow the Victorian era or Edwardian styles seem to be right for me, anyway. But normally am dressed just like anyone else. My eldest son is in the Re-enactment in our area for the Revolutionary war, and so the clothing fits in perfectly for that, his wife makes the clothing. She made the ensemble for everyone for the wedding day. I officiated. *probably that did not happen at that time that a woman would do the ceremony, but we made that exception! Such fun with the opening of gifts and I always enjoy But lately have been so busy and somehow come in a bit late but I do get here! Way too busy her lately but will get back on time soon!!

A brilliant episode of Cadeaux . So many beautiful gifts! I especially enjoyed seeing the copy of Un Hiver en Orient--the design of the book is very special.

My gosh Nattie....I have just completed colouring my 11th book since Covid began. Colouring is my most favourite past time! I love the new ones you just received!
I have a set of those vase brushes and I use them to get into small places on things like my blender and food processor.

Without a Cadeaux of a doubt, or chateau of a doubt, not shadow!
Wax seals are very versatile - we had one made of our monograms for our wedding and used them to seal the invitations, as well as to make cupcake decorations with fondant as part of our dessert buffet.

The bell must be used when it is time for diner so all still outside will know just like it used to be done many years ago! When we lived in the coountry I used to do that as the childrn wer young and my husband would be busy and i inside cooking and so it was masier

Greetings from Alaska. Great cadeaux. I finally got to watch a premiere of this channel and join in live chat. Ironically I was so enraptured by the gifts I did not talk as much as I normally would or do. (Finally we discovered a way to shut me up. Lol) Celeste’s gifts were amazing. I especially loved the selfie stick. Very practical and I know it will get much use. The other gifts they received were very thoughtful and sweet. I know they will enjoy the coloring books and I suspect Andie’s submission will be the most commented on. Bravo to the Suffolk Art group. What a great charity to donate to. I loved that Gerald was able to visit and made to feel welcome by all there. A worthwhile group to support and I applaud your decision to help. I look forward to future updates with the Design school in South Africa. I can not wait to see what designs have been produced. Thank you for a delightful cadeaux. You might find it interesting to shine a black light at that green glass in the foreground. If it fluoresces it is uranium/Vaseline glass. Very cool parlor (or grand salon) trick. Safe to have on the shelf, not a great idea to drink out of it.
