When you panned from the inside/out, I was stunned by those chairs and the drapery fabric! Both are rich in color. If your intent is to decorate like an Italian merchant and his silks, once you walk through the doors, one will be whisked to the 17th century. Everyone, including your fans, should be proud of your vision and hard work. Well done.

I love going back and watching these older videos. It shows just how far you have come in your restoration of this beautiful lady. Each door, window, wall, floor, even a piece of glass…they may be small things on their own, but together they all contribute to her final glory. It reminds me of the old saying about the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.

The amount of work on both doors, rescuing the wood, cutting the glass, all difficult sections, fitting them, locks, handles and they are utterly amazing. Stunning work

Great job Terry! Confidence is everything in construction isn’t it? Believe, conceive, and achieve. Believe is the most important one. I knew you’d have no problem with your glass cutting. I’ve worked as a glass cutter for 30 years and if you can get your hands on some of the proper pliers and have a sturdy table with good straight edges there’s no limit to the glass jobs you can handle on your own and save a ton. I’m a man who was taught that any job worth doing is worth doing correctly and I am really impressed by the quality of all your family’s work and the care that you put into all your projects. Your home is well on its way back to its original beauty. You’re polishing up a real jewel!

The family of the previous owners must be filled with joy seeing how beautiful your work is. And the curtains and chair at the entrance are utterly g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s !!!

I really appreciate the importance of getting those doors in and just right. The first things people look for is the wow factor of turning into the Chateau, then the next wow factor would be walking up the steps to enter. Two massive ticks for appeal 👏

👍Such good work! I watch this at night, all your work makes me tired, puts me to sleep. I did wood finishing nothing on the order of what you all have done but I learned I can feed the wood with furniture polish first, wait a couple hours to let it soak in & then when I add the stain finish it has a very proper furniture quality satin finish.

What an excellent entrance now! Looks lovely! Great job! I must say, my favorite part is that the rusty railings are gone and are now nice and clean and white!

Was such a pleasure to watch last night's episode. How your skills set has grown Terry along with your confidence. Amazing piece of work and made me quite tearful to see how proud your dad, mum and Ash were of your chateau door renovation. It makes me even more sure that you will complete your chateau and grounds together because you all support each other. What an achievement already in only just over a year. Whenever I passed the chateau, many years ago, on my trips to Emmaus, I always wondered why someone would leave it abandoned and unloved! So lovely to see the changes. Long may it continue. Xx

I thought the curtains brought a wonderfully sumptuous touch and it gives us a glimpse of how great all the other rooms are going to look once they're done. And hopefully helps block out the cold in winter!

The tile is PERFECT for the entry….almost like it was there originally! I must have missed the episode when the handrails were prepped and painted. They look amazing with the doors finally in. What a grand entry but so welcoming at the same time.

I'm confused when you said the doors will only last 5 to 10years because of the wood used, I thought you had the door restored using some of the old door and I thought it's an oak door that should last many years. Also in todays video I saw at least 1 door had its glass in ? But I suppose it was too thin to be able to used (safety glass etc etc) The tiles you found were such a tremendous find they look as if they were always there.

I have to agree with Denise. You have stained and varnished the doors beautifully plus you put in safety glass. Being made of Oak, with regular maintenance ie: reapplying fresh varnish when needed, those doors should last at least 20 years if not longer. Of course, I’m not seeing them in person so I may be talking out my elbow but..... Well done once again Terry, first class job! ❤️👏❤️

Amazing job! I believe that this is a massive thing for you! Many congratulations! The stone entrance is beautiful and so practical! No more muddy footprints on the parquet flooring. A little tip .It might be nice for the givers if you show the presents that you get. I would have loved to see the quilts! As a quilter myself especialy.
