Also we need to teach future generations that celebrate worship is a manifestation of our manufactured media culture. That culture pushes individuals to prominence, some from hard work while a great many rise to the forefront for their simple willingness to promote themselves. It is equally as useless as these propped up investment companies Dr. Shiva mentioned in her talk. In fact, much of our western culture has become vapid and until this global pandemic, many people were focused on trivial matters. Hopefully when we emerge from all of this, our society will have readjusted to a more healthy prospective.

Frankly as a woman who in her youth considered herself a feminist, I would say that Dr. Shiva is a humanist and one of the most important voices of 20th and 21st centuries. Her focus is preserving the dignity of all life but specifically working poor human's.

No. Public owned systems can also be corrupted if the politics are corrupt. We know that this is easy to accomplish. The social networks MUST be distributed. Should not be able to censor and should respect privacy. Nobody must manage your data apart of you. Blockchain technology looks good to implement something like that. OMG I was railing against deregulation for years and was called a crazy.

5. I first heard the acronym G.A.T.T. back in the early 1980's when I worked (as a low-level official) in the Customs dept. of a Western country. It stands for the General Agreement on Trade & Tariffs. We were subjected to an in-house week-long course on this rigging of the world economy, and we low-level officials had to go into all the small details of how every product and service was to have an specific industry code, and all the different tariff rates that each product would be subjected to. There was even an extra small rate (a mark-up really) to protect the profits of two big up-market retail clothing & furniture giants (David Jones and Myer). I was so sickened by all of that, that I left my cushy government job. Just couldn't stomach it.

I love Madame Shiva. I watched an interview on France 24's English channel and the interviewer tried to descendit and almost mocked her when she talked about chemical compagnies in Germany ar the time of WW2. This speech is more respectful of her person. Namaste.
