A new Kentucky Patriot video makes my day. Question: Using a shotgun at standard home defense ranges (say max range 15 yards) is there advantage to the optic over the ghost ring or for a ghost ring over a bead? I have never shot a shotgun with anything other than a bead so how hard is it to acquire and re-acquire targets and ghost rings compared to a bead and what is the learning curve?

That is honestly a matter of opinion. Me personally, if I am going to the range, hunting deer, or having fun then an optic is fine. If I am gonna be using it for home defense then I would much rather have a bead or a ghost ring instead of an optic on a shotgun. I appreciate you watching and I wish you and yours the very best 🙂

I’m looking to train with someone as far as shooting and prepping and I’m located in the western part of Kentucky. Didn’t know what part of Kentucky your in and if your close enough to maybe help out with what I’m wanting to do. Didn’t know if you’d be interested? Or would even want to meet up anywhere, if you was close to western part of the state. Just a thought!
