This collage of views are taken from the very successful Railway Heritage shuttle trips between Bathurst and Wimbledon on Sunday 11th June.
Although nothing remains of the crossing loop and small signal box mid way up the bank called Tumulla, the hill and the railway are still at odds over who has control over gravity. To have the opportunity to see and hear two grand old locomotives prove that they are capable of taking charge of the grade was an unforgettable experience. I truly felt I was standing on holy ground.
