    Frustrating last set for Nebraska but they will be back next year since they’re so young. They didn’t really have a go-to hitter and their outsides weren’t as effective. Surprised to see the setter not give their right side more chances

    Hey Eric! Love the videos! Two questions: 1. Can you put yourself in the bottom left or right corner please? We miss some of the action because your beautiful face is covering the right side of the net. 2. Why are there so many more long rallies in women's volleyball? I'm not having a go at women's game it's super entertaining to watch, but I see a clear difference where there are more long rallies in the women's game contrasted with how often men score on the first ball. Is it just a difference in athletic ability even though the net is higher? Are women better readers/defenders because they seem to et under so many more balls? Again I'm not trying to be sexist or shit on anyone but is the huge difference in play styles just height and athleticism? Keep up the amazing work as usual. Happy new year!!

  • @mirieshii1948

    For the reason that there is a clear physical difference between the two that affects every aspect of the game. • @jonathanlaryea5137

    @jonathanlaryea5137

    Somewhat. They have a different kind of spin to a right handed spike so it’s a little unfamiliar.

  • @jacksonmaffey566

    @jacksonmaffey566

    2 жыл бұрын

    I find the advantage of left handed spikes is when it comes to blockers. Just because the majority of players are right handed, the block is more used to people swinging with their right and may subconsciously line up a bit better for blocking a right handed swing. Then more left handed swings will get through the block so the hitters will generally have a better kill rate at lower level volleyball. Being a left handed hitter has more advantages as a middle and opposite though because an outside hitters right hand gets to the ball first so they can contact earlier which can give the second blocker less time to arrive and cut off all the angle.
