What we really need to see is you on an old school freestyle board. Rock solid trucks mandatory.

and with boots (old skool wheels)....heavy lifting.
i'm 50 and Jonny I enjoyed this but, I wanted to see you use the old school deck . I've done the same tricks back early 80's and definitely harder on such as the deck you purchased . brought back lotta memories , great vid., you should try to find an old mullen deck ?

These tricks were done on freestyle decks in the 80's, not those massive 10 inch ones.

THESE TRICK WERE DONE ON 9-10' DECKS BUT VERY HARD , AND IF PEOPLE COULD DO THEM DURING THE LEARNING OUR SHINS WOULD BE HIGHLY BRUSED .ALOT OF FALLING , I HAVENT SKATED SENSE 1998 DUE TO KNEE AND ANKLE INJURIES,AND THE PROGRESION OF SKATING IS GOT'N ENDLESS,I LOVE IT , BUT HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT IT ALOT HERE RECENTLY ,AS I'VE GOT A NEPHEW THAT IS INTERESTED IN SKATE'N .
The stache makes him look natural on this outfit ngl
Hey man I'm just a random guy but I just wanted you to know that by watching your videos I've been inspired to pick up skating after giving up as a kid and I've never felt better. Thank you truly!!
That moustache never looked so great 😂🤣

1:57 when you want to skate, but your skiing lessons are at noon.
Jonny, I can honestly say your channel is the sole reason I decided to skate again. It's been about ten years since I last skated and I was never really good. Just ordered the parts online, we'll see how it goes!
Honestly, I seem to recall some old vids of Mullen wearing gear just like this xD

I love the freeze-frames where the name of the trick pops up on screen. Reminds me of a video game.
Rocking it out like Michael freaking Cera on the movie Juno lol Love your content, Jonny! Keep it up
I absolutely love old school/freestyle tricks and i mix them into street skating and in normal lines!

Florida in the 80's we're using this exact type of old school board Jonny purchased for freestyle, halfpipe & etc. My 1st board of this type was a Powell Peraltra Bones - We didn't have all the tricks as we have today, yes some less as wide boards were available, but back then we were transiting from the plastic deck era, so most all of us surfer, skaters were so glad to get a wider deck ''even though the decks were heavy no concave action except for the tail and no pop that's the reason's why Jonny did not use the board - Piumarta i.e. Santa Cruz Skateboards was who created a machine that measured pop that lead to the new design that's still n use today, which makes all our skateboard tricks possible ''Great Job Piumarta & Thank You! - Much Love Everyone & Keep Surfing & Skateboarding ''Keeps You Young'' 🙂🙃
Awesome outfit! Now for part 2 on the old board? ;)
My eyeballs definitely enjoyed this even though I am too young to remember pre-tony hawk era.

I'm gonna try to learn every single trick of those. Always loved freestyle skate. It feels so good it got back in style.
Props Jonny for always keeping skating fun, that's what it's about!
This is rad, love how much effort you put in to the outfit and tricks. Quality video as usual
These tricks are so awesome. Bring them back!
The way you looked at those red shorts is the way I look on Christmas.
Just getting into skating again after like 10+ years. Stoked I found your channel dude!
you did great showing off some old school tricks, and you are right about using two boards we also rode two boards one on top of each other, not sure if it was called this or not but a crab walk-board sideways feet each foot on ends or the kick turns to move forward without putting your feet on ground. I am 60 years old and for a long time I was way to big and lost my balance but just lost all that weight and got back on the skateboard about two months ago and i was able to still do at least one 360 and kick turns. still need to practice moving again with my foot. loved watching the old tricks that i use to do.
I've got to say I love old school skate tricks. So graceful.
0:16 Dude... I had this EXACT skateboard in the mid/late 80's, in The Netherlands. That brings me back.
This inspired me to get out and do some old tricks. I started skating in 92 and this stuff was still going on
Something about your videos. They always bring a good mood
It’s crazy to see how much your channels grown and how much better you’ve gotten over the years. Love the vids please don’t stop making them.
That 540 Shuv was CLEAN!!
love your videos, so chill. keep up the good work
One of my most favorite videos by yours
Awesome video!!! The background mountain view is beautiful.
Johnny Cash! So good, loved this video! Thrift shop, old school tricks, and that mustache is on point!
Dude this video was awesome, beginning to end. You are for real my favorite skater.
I really like this style of skateboarding and all the new riders that incorporate some of those old-school tricks as well as the modern style.
I just got back into casual skating at 30yo and ur vids have helped me a ton love it keep it up
Jonny, it's just so great to see you pay tribute to these old tricks and Flatland Freestyle! It always looks easier than it is, but these tricks are / were the foundation of modern Street Skateboarding! This is coming from an old dude, at age 55 who still skates, LOVES skateboarding, and is one of the few who actually can claim to have invented a signiture trick....the YOYO Plant. I'd love to see other people to pull it off.....go out and try it! Greetings from Germany.............
Wonderful time to be alive, when you can pick up a full set of skateware that easily and cheap!
amazing look, and great video! You inspired me now to go and relearn these + to learn a few new tricks that I haven't tried before... gonna be fun!
Great video :) I really enjoy watching you skate. It has been since thps 2 that I had anything to do with skating and it never went beyond the video game. However the stuff that you do istl just so pleasing to the eye and some of these oldschool tricks actually look pretty sick!
the amount if tricks in your bag is amazing
Such a unique style of editing and presenting. This is soothing to watch 😁 Great video.
Great work Jonny.
Everything about this video is rad to the max!
Never cease to amaze me
Love this video! ❤️ Retro is always cool!
I'm so glad I found this channel 😂
The crazy thing about this video, in those clothes popping those tricks you look exactly like the kids on telly I watched in the 70s.
Love your humour! Thanks for all the great content! :)
I laughed so hard at those shorts thank you for that you got an actual laugh out loud from me
This is awesome! My favorite trick in this video was the “Strawberry Milkshake. So awesome!

Still a rad trick. 🤘
Family friend Shawn was a skater for the Pepsi pro east coast team way back in the day. He could spin on 1 truck forever. Those dudes would come flying at a bunch of people laying down, jump off the board and land on another one on the other side. Manuals on top of other boards, whole bunch of crazy stuff. Thanks for the blast!
What an amazing video!!! Johnny you are a legend🔥🔥🔥🔥
This makes me want to do these tricks. Awesome video!!
That park looks so dope!
That board from the thrift shop was just like mine - not the colours/design, but the tape, the plastic everywhere - I had a huge amount of plastic on the tail. Great stuff.
Nice 👍 I never knew these tricks existed, gonna go try a few
This is the greatest video ever. Love it!
JOHNNY PROUD OF YOU GOING OLD SCHOOL.PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW MANY TRICKS CAME FROM THE PAST,YOUR LIKE THE ONLY ONE ☝️ YA KNOW!
Skating the bowl is definitely fun. But incredibly hard to film alone. This video is great. And you look way to comfortable in your 80s gear. Keep crushing it Sir.
That style... have to say, I love it. Maybe one of my skateoutfits for this summer skatesessions. ^^
I love how you hometown looks so clean calm, beautiful and boring
Before I watch it, I just wanted to say how sick the thumbnail is
This park looks so chill to skate. Btw nice moustache
This is awesome :D so many memories!!!
Never has the mustache been as glorious as in this video! Totally fits the look. ;)
Man, Johnny is so rad!
Giger’s at a whole new level now with the content!
Yo that was a great vid I love how your always challenging yourself with these new vid ideas respect it
Killed it as always!!!!!
So sick. Im gonna try all of them
So much steez I loved it Jonny
my eyeballs are very satisfied. many thanks Jonny ^_^
That's the most posh thrift shop I've ever seen, very Swiss indeed. But yeah it's crazy how far skating has come, these tricks feel ancient!
Jonny: I am complete! Tenacious D: FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK🎶
The music was actually pretty cool Well done
Would love to go back in time with Jonny to the 60s
This might be new favorite video of his...
It’s amazing how much skating street has evolved over short number of years
If Giger ever makes it into a videogame, this needs to be an outfit option.
absolutely fantastic tricks!
Dayhum boy you are a master. I love all your vids

Still got my board from the early 90s...powells happy hippies, with indipendend trucks etc... Will grab this this spring and do some street skating again.. After approx 25 years pause.. Lol...
Wow, I'm ready to move to Lichtenstein just for the thrift shops, wtf...
That old school tre looks sick. More people should do that.
Strawberry milkshake is my favorite from this era. It's always fun and always gets reactions along the lines of "....wait, what the hell was that?".
You're so smooth with it it's like butter even when you fail if you were listen with you're eyed closed you'd think he made it
Dude this was beautiful...
Omg today I learned the 360 spin and now I see you're video 🤘
Omg the oldschool pink board at the beginning is so amazinggg and cool looking lol I have a blue one like that but it needs some serious restoration (has no griptape, bearings dead, missing one of the rails n worn ass wood)
Oooh shit! Those 360's on that incline! That's what I'm gonna try next! Haha... And no-comply. That takes me back. I was a no-comply master! Hell, I can't WAIT till my stuff comes in and I can get out there again!
I cant afford to support you right now, but i love you Jonny! Yoour awesome.
This miniature is fiiiire!!
All I see is the ETC ankle braces those things rock!!! Great videos
Holy crap! I got that Skate Zombie board for Christmas in 1987! Mine was all purple and pink, though. Rode it until it was in splinters.
Dude thats your Best vídeo ever!! You shoul do more of this kind, you Re very funny!!!
great as always
