This interview made me happy! I'm glad to see they still have a clean, positive attitude even with the losses. I became a huge Sooners fan after hearing their interviews/testimonials on espn last year, and that made me follow them all last season. I even drove 11 hours to attend the World Series against Florida. This team truly makes me proud. Enjoy the game, enjoy life , keep the faith, and don't let Delilah cut your hair. When Nicole May pitch we lose every time all the games we lost she pitch help makes sense. If you want for Kelly Maxwell we will be down more than three games Nicole May is very disappointed she have went for worse to worse she shouldn't even be on the mound plain and simple and she's a senior

You can see that this team is not as good as the last several. Keep on supporting but lower expectations.

It’s not that fans are saying they can’t have a lose here & there but this is very uncharacteristic compared to teams past. They sure are missing Grace Lyons.

Lord, help Patti and her Girls to know that they have been playing above what is normal for any team in any sport. They may be average right now and maybe will continue in this place and yet they are still good enough to win it all. Help them to play as freely as ever and not shoot for perfection. I’d be willing to bet when the dust settles in June OU will be where we expect them to be. Y’all have been spoiled with 1 or 2 losses a season and that’s not always realistic.

Not sure what decisions are being made with regards to who pitches, but it seems like this is about the 10th game where the starting pitcher was clearly not on her game from the start but wasn’t pulled until serious damage has been done by the other team. Fortunately, in most of those, our offense was able to cover the damage with their own. I can’t imagine this is Coach Rocha’s doing. She’s just too good for that. It seems like something else is going on that’s allowing this to continue, perhaps some team plan being tried before the post season. Mayday is usually amazing, but anyone could see from inning one that this was not her day. Neither was it Karlie Keeney’s day. Why wasn’t Peyton put in? She’s known for shutting down a hot offense. Even SJ would probably done better than Keeney today. I don’t think that OU underestimated BYU, I think they got schooled by them. It’s like they got rattled by a level of dominance they haven’t experienced in years. Regardless, I love our team and there’s so much to be proud of, and even the best can have a bad day. Hopefully they’ll come back as fired up as BYU was today and take the series. BOOMER SOONER!! ❤🥎

She's being too kind in downplaying just how horrendous every aspect of the game was. Offense, defense, pitching, base running, mental..... EVERYTHING.

I don’t see where she downplayed anything. She flat out said they’re not good enough now to win the games that matter. Like Kinzie and Tiare both said, it’s been years since OU experienced a rout like today- certainly not in the time that they’ve been on the team. What will matter now is how they respond. But based on Gasso’s comments, I don’t think she feels this team is good enough at this time to win like they’re used to doing. I also didn’t feel either Kinzie or Tiare was upset enough that they’re ready to come back with vengeance. I still remember their loss to Baylor last year and how the world gasped because they unfairly lost their number one ranking as a result. They were on fire after that and the following week, they totally schooled the new #1 UCLA, 14-0. That’s the fire and passion we need to see in these girls again. Today just felt more like, “well, this is BYU, yes, they hit well, but we are OU, and that’s enough.” It felt a bit complacent. And then I think they got rattled and fell apart. I think the set positions are also a bit complacent as well. Everyone is saying Tiare is the best shortstop, but her caliber of play doesn’t compare to how good she was at second base. And Brito needs some time on the bench. It’s like she’s stuck in her head and it’s leading to more strikeouts and more errors defensively-mental and physical. I think if Alyna Torres took over for a few games, it might give Brito some time to reset and come back even better. Or move her to short, Tiare back to second, and Alyna at third. Shake it up! It’s like Patti said, other teams experience losses like this, but OU has not, and that’s why it’s so shocking when it happens. We need a little shake up. The most fun games to watch were when Patti kept changing the lineups every game. Kept everyone guessing. Great energy during those games. Sadly, nothing at all like today’s. 😢 But like Kinzie said, they have two directions they can go now, and it’s obvious which one is right. So we’ll see what’s they do in game three. 👍🏻🥎

It’s obvious we aren’t #1 and not the best team in the Big 12. We only have one tournament capable pitcher and that’s Maxwell.

Nicole May has not come close to her performance last year. She should be leading the staff this year...

Need faster aggressive starts. Don't play well behind. Not always going to come to you. Got to take it.

Yup, can’t defend it anymore, there is something going on with this team, there is to much senior leadership on this team. They need to step up and get fired up like the past years. Players only meeting led by the captains I hope.

Pressure will crack anything eventually. You cannot fix a fracture. You have to take the peices and fugure out how to take them and biuld back better than ever. BOOMER SOONER

As a fan who took that gut punch tonight I hear you. But she's a Hall of Fame coach and I'm not. I would go in there and rip every single player, and mess things up even more. What separates Patty from the others is she genuinely loves these girls, and she'll speak the truth, but SHE knows what it takes to fix this, I certainly don't. I trust her

Hmmm, I have noticed that media and the players are hinting that God is on their side. Well if that is the case and they are God's team, maybe God wants to teach them some humility. I think that my God is with all the girls and all the teams in softball. Look when you work the system and poach all the top players that want a chance to win a ring, ....come play here.... Well it will come to a screeching halt at some point. Better sooner than later. Maybe Jordy knew something you all missed.
