Hey, every dynasty eventually fades away. I rode with them to the top. I'll ride with them back down. Pitch is not as good as previous years. Hitting is more about - "Can I jack a long ball?" vs. "just get a timely hit and put it in play". "Can you poke it over the SS into the infield and bring a room home. ..etc. Also, Hey, OSU is a really good team. Tonight they were better than us.

@cjbunker8889 yea, I doubt they think these teams are intimidated. There is a reason why only one other team has won 3 straight softball championships and it's not because they 'thought' th3y were better than everyone else. Lots of critics and few actual fans.

I'm tired of the players just shaking their head in agreement every time we lose like yeah that's why we lost yeah that's why we lost... How about your pissed off and want to improve it

give credit where credit is due. The cowgirls just flat whipped our butts. But also remember, they won the series with Texas. They’re no slouch and have outstanding pitching and timely hitting. Hopefully we get it turned around by postseason. We will still likely have a top eight seed and can host our way through the tournament, hopefully all the way to the CWS. We have the pitching to play a little small ball so maybe we need to get some runs before we start swinging away.

You also have to look at some of OU's hits. We got a few unlucky ones, hit hard just right at someone. Some days that's just the breaks.

Patty in years past would give them a talking too dug out I haven't seen this from her this season , time to light a fire , I think all this lineup changes have hurt ,

They just doesn’t have “it”. Losing Bahl.and Lyons was huge. Can OU get it together? they’ve only lost 5 games and are still in the hunt for the regular season title so it’s not like the earth is spinning off in outer space. Regroup & get ready for game 2. One at a time.

I've noticed teams, especially right handers, are right on top of the plate. Either wanting to get hit by the pitch or forcing pitches away. You have to pound that inside corner when they stand on top of the plate. That's what happened on that one homerun, she was on top of the plate forced the pitch outside where she could extend her arms and she crushed it.

Pickering batting second is ludicrous.

Jordy Bahl leaving set this team back on the pitching side...she said it hurt the program when Bahl left..she needs to find the next Jordy..

Don't forget the eight 5 stars( no.1 recruiting class) we have coming next season and the 2025 class which is also no 1 recruiting class with incredible talent also. Next year might be a rebuilding year but with all that young talent, but who knows. But after next season we should be dominating once again.

desertfox- Jordy originally comitted to Nebraska, only a few miles from her hometown. Patty Gasso talked her into flipping to OU. In her own words she had always wanted to play at Nebraska, she eventually got honesick about that. The final straw; while pitching for OU in Norman, Nebraska got beat out of the first round regional a few miles away in Stillwater. She had to be heartsick about that. After last season and two time National Champion, she returned home. All ❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️ to Jordy Bahl. Thanks for the memories and come back strong. Sooner Nation pulling for you to get Nebraska back to OKC in 2025.

The world did not come to an end just because we lost to probably the best team in the Big 12 this year. The Cowgirls gave Texas a beat down and no reason to think they can’t do the same thing to us. We have to regroup- - again, and get back in the saddle. Realistically, we don’t have the pitching this year which is hurting us the most.

Even Alabama lost some games so every dynasty has a struggle they need to overcome but I think they are just not ready for the big games

You are the one that is embarrassing. Grow up and act like an adult instead of a child like you are accusing the coach of treating them like. You have done nothing in your life that involves the pressure that has been put on these 3 time National Champions, so don't act l8ke you have any idea how hard it is to do what they've done. Go root for someone else if that's the best you can do as a fan.

Defense and pitching are not the reasons for this years losses. The coach is wrong to be pointing fingers at the pitchers and instead she should be pointing at the lack of consistent hitting as the major problem.

@@cjbunker8889 Don't forget we got eight 5 stars coming next year( the no.1 recruiting class) and also the no.1 2025 recruiting class, both the best classes ever. So next year may be a rebuilding year, but you never know with such great young talent. But after next year we will be dominating again.

@@cjbunker8889 Yea I agree about the seniors, they can't get a hit, always a pop up or ground out, as if they don't practice hard no more and just want to party in their last senior year and expect to win because they play for Oklahoma. I see no motivation or inspirational. If I saw that I wouldn't be disappointed.

And what difference would that have made? Deal would have lost and that would have put even more pressure on Maxwell, who quite frankly is so overrated it hurts. May can't pitch under pressure and has never been good in big games. It's over! It's been a fantastic ride, but now Patty needs to rebuild 'cuz there ain't much left after this season.
