A few things here I will try and be brief. Coach Gasso could have a career in stand up comedy after she finishes at OU if she wants to, she is a very class lady and cares alot about people. My big question is, when is Jayda Coleman going to get her statue? I ask that with a slight snicker but the athletes deserve the recognition themselves. In the very near future, K9 will be the new professor of softball if she isn't already. Hopefully, Sid Sanders has found her bat once again, but if she hasn't, she is still probably the best first baseman in college softball. JMO and I could be wrong, I have to say that, Texas and Oklahoma State will be tough if the Sooners have to play them. I also put Stanfords pitcher, you know the one, on the list, she is their most effective athlete. It looks like if you're going to beat Stanford you have to beat their pitcher. No disrespect to her, I just cannot spell her name. J. T. and company have done well working with the Sooner bats. That will have to continue to beat Stanford. Major props to Duke, they have progressed a long way in a relatively short time period. GO SOONERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the reason why Oklahoma did not win last year was the pitching. You have one guy that was pitching awesome to the last inning then you put in a a new picture when you didn't even have to this guy was pitching awesome last year and when you put in the other pitching in Oklahoma lost the game I was very disappointed and disheartened

You still have to win to get where they are. You still have to rise to the occasion and the lady Sooners always does. Anybody having a problem with that can try to beat the Sooners on the field. They welcome all comers.

I tried. I listened to the entirety of 7 out of 8 teams press conferences. But I can’t make it through Texas’. It’s not the players. It’s Mike White. Every other coach appreciates playing in OKC and sees it like baseball in Omaha.

I loved the philosophizing from Brito and Maxwell about what was so difficult for them this season, but I think Hansen had a grasp and articulated well the real reason OU struggled (if you can call it that--they still had the best record in the nation). "Living at number one" was the foundation of the stress they were under. Not just as repeat champs, but as a school who had set unprecedented records and streaks. And, was on their way to a fourth national title; never been achieved in this sport. Add to that the stress of having to shine in a new custom-built-for-them stadium, as well as the targets on their backs aimed at by opposing teams jealous and tired of being in the shadows, and you have a stress bomb waiting to detonate. And, it did. But, once they saw streaks end, once they lost that first series and the rest, especially after the loss to OSU, you could see them exhale and play free in the third game of that series. They had nothing left to lose. The tone of it reminded me of the movie, "The Guardian" where Kutcher's character was determined to break all the records and Costner's character knew nothing really great was going to happen until he did. Then, it became amazing. You could feel it in our team. They were finally practicing in the new stadium, really had nothing left to tie them to the stress, and could play free and fun; which is when they're at their best. Coach Gasso, in the post-game interview after that third game (win over OSU) talked about how free the gals played at practice before that game. It was like a weight had been lifted. And, it had. Yes, there's some stress again now that they're back in the WCWS. And, you have the usual with Texas' Mike White now lamenting that OU has an unfair advantage playing in their home state, among other teams' plaints. But this team loves playing in a hostile environment. It fires them up! So, bring it on! No idea if these ladies will achieve a new streak that will someday be broken, but they're sure going to have a lot of fun trying. And, they deserve the best experience possible. They've earned it--and, then some. BOOMER SOONER!!

Mike White is the only coach using the “OU has a big advantage” as an excuse. All the others that I’ve heard speak on it don’t see it like he does. It’s exactly like baseball being played in Omaha. Grow up Mike.

Yeah, each coach has been asked about OU having a “huge advantage” playing in OKC. Mike White of Texas seems to be the only coach using it as an excuse before the games even start. Pretty embarrassing for Texas.

The coach has a good attitude about where's the game is played. Get all comes down to scoring more runs than your opponent. And where the game is played has no bearing on that.
