Sir, this is PTX. Please don't think that any one specific thing defines them. They will beat you senseless with their awesomeness and then show you another side of themselves when they simply decide what next interests them. Do not try putting them in a box for music genre. They'll destroy the box with a single Mitch note. They can do pretty much anything.

This is one of their songs that always seems to get more beautiful each time you listen to it, in my opinion. I've watched countless reactor videos of this song and it still gets to me. Yes, they do "melt you".

You're right. So beautiful. An original by them too, they are just so incredibly talented. I'd recommend another original by them called 'Love Again'. Another shock one that will blow your mind! On the other end of the scale to this one, in a good way!

Another Avi and Kevin original.

I believe they filmed this by learning/ performing the song backwards. Thus the snow falls upwards. I second Love again. There is also a live performance without mics of love again which is worth a double reaction.

This garnered so much interest from school choirs that they allowed the sheet music to be downloaded from their web page. They are awesome thru and thru.

I do think this is a beautiful song and the way they sing it DOES MELT YOU! I love your reactions! Thanks for all your love of Pentatonix. They move me like no other musicians have ever moved me!

Trivia for this vid: In order for the ash/snow to go back up on the chorus, they all had to learn to lip sync the whole chorus backwards in perfect time so that it could be filmed separately from the verses & then when they put the video together those shots were reversed so they appeared to sing correctly while the ash reversed.

My Heart with You was a beautiful cover. Run to You is a stunning original written by Avi and Kevin. If you want the trifecta of emotional and moving five-part harmony PTX performances, you’ll need to listen to (there is no video, but they have an official visualizer with the lyrics) Light in the Hallway. Written by Scott (with help from Mitch) as a lullaby for his beloved nephew, he wrote it with Avi’s voice in mind, and it’s one of the rare, Avi-lead songs and it is one of my favorites. Avi once said he will sing it to his children some day.

My favorite recording is from their Ft. Lauderdale concert. Idiots were protesting (gay hate). They dropped the mics and belted it to drown out the hate. I'm not crying...

You should definitely react to their cover of Shallow, and Say Something, both featuring a little more Kirstie! And also be sure to check out the behind the scenes of the Recording of Evergreen. Shows how much they each really contribute to each song, and what an amazing “family” they are, as well as fabulously talented individuals.

Such a beautiful haunting song. My second-favourite PTX song. ‘Standing By’ featuring Avi on lead vocals is my favourite. Another original, also written by Kevin and Avi, I believe. I’d love to see your reaction to that!

I LOVE that you can hear each voice clearly. In most songs. No one is lead, they're all doing it together. It's powerful.

If Avi is in the video, I will watch it. His voice lent such a full, richness to the group.

Apparently, Kevin went to Avi with the beginning and some lyrics, then Avi took the ball and ran with it the rest of the way, with Ben Bram helping with the actual final arrangement. For those familiar with Avi's subsequent solo originals, you can clearly hear his influence in this song

You said it.....Beautiful. The singing, harmonies, voices separating, layered vocals, echoes, the lyrics. Pure Pentatonix Perfection. Heard your cry of anguish "No" when you thoughted it had ended....and your sigh of relief to discover it had not. Just cannot get enough of PTX. Thank you for the great reaction. This is a beautiful, original song written by Avi and Kevin, with input by all, of course. An interesting note - when the "snow flakes" appear to be rising, they are actually falling, and PTX mouthed the word of the chorus backwards and then they sang over the video. There are only 4 words in the chorus- "I'll run, run to you", so it wasn't too hard to do, but it's a great effect. See you in the next one.

I found an hour long video of this on a loop when I was struggling ans I just played it at max volume and sang along. I don’t know how they do it, but they do this every time.

One of my favorites. My Heart With You apparently was their inspiration for writing this original. And I love their.commitment to getting the video perfect - they learned how to lip sync it BACKWARDS so that the video would show the snow ‘falling up’.

As you can see in the final scene when they had the ashes or paper shreds on their clothes, this was not an effect superimposed over the video although that would have been so much easier. I heard in an interview that this effect was very problematic as many times when the camera was focused in on someone's face they often had the ash or confetti flow into their mouth and had to do several takes which we know is not their norm.

This was the creation of Avi and Kevin....both men of faith. it hits one right in the heart. I feel it's a combination of the words of Jesus "I've been tattered and scorned, I've been fighting so long, but I've lost our war and our Kingdom is gone...how can I win back your heart which was mine? I have broken bones and tattered clothes I've run out of time" So so beautiful...The saddest thing is that Avi is prohibited from 'ever' performing this song due to legal issues with PTX.
