As someone who has to BE at work by 6am, it is kind of nice to think of being able to get up and leisurely have breakfast or coffee. Your work is very laid back and nice. The good thing about my day is how early I am off so I have a lot of free time in the afternoons.

Thank you for giving us a sneak peek into your office life. I've worked in a major marketing agency and I'm currently doing freelance work by creating content for social media for clients. I recently got a vlogging camera and I've been playing around with making videos. I have intermediate level Japanese and am still working on spoken Japanese. I am planning on relocating to Japan for work in the next year. This kind of job seems perfect for my experience.

I love to see other people's workdays......probably because mine feels so unconventional. I work in a veterinary laboratory and we are so short-staffed. Usually, I either bring lunch and go eat in my car or, if things are super-busy, one of my colleagues and I place a to-go order from somewhere close and pick it up. She's about to retire though, so I'll probably be eating while I work for a while after she leaves.

Nice to see behind the scene action! Last time when I had office work they had cafeteria and food restaurant in the bottom floor. In this age I try avoid pizza and too heavy meals (even if they are so delicious). It is odd that there are so few ordinary food restaurants specialized for healthy family cooking in my area.

In Spain and Germany we prepare our food at home the day before and bring it to the office the next day. Coffee is then available in the office and we don't have to buy it. Younger colleagues who can't cook well or don't feel like it go out to buy something. Mostly rolls or baguettes.

Interesting video! I have to admit, before watching this, I had no idea what Tokyo Creative actually was, even though I watch pretty much all their videos, I just viewed it as a "Tokyo based youtube-channel" without really thinking more about it. Also a bit curious on the coffee situation. Swedish offices (at least where I've worked or visited) often have coffee machines offering free coffee to employees and/or visitors, but seeing how that wasn't the case here, I'm getting curious about how it usually is in Japan and other countries.

American here. My old job had a Keurig machine with free coffee. Before the pandemic, my current job had a "coffee club" you could pay into for a couple dollars a month for company coffee, but they stopped that because now everyone has flexible in-office days. I couldn't say which is more common in offices (free coffee or no free coffee) - but I'm guessing the majority of office jobs in the US don't have free coffee.

Yeah we have free coffee at the office too (Finland) with several machines (juras and moccamasters) but unless your company's like super into coffee as a whole, I doubt it's gonna be as good as a specialty coffee shop like in the video. People still drink the free stuff and offer it to visitors (out of habit) but it's not like anyone goes to enjoy a cup because it's good : D I guess it's a nice gesture tho.

Im not Japanese, I dont live IN japan, but I think if I had lived in a place where I had a bakery/cafe that specified in pastry and food that was from a specific area of the world, then to have a customer FROM that area, would be mind blowing!

Yeah it must be good to have your Aussie baked goods get actual Aussie approval

See it like this: they're doing something rather exotic for Japanese standards. And if there are ANY people from that specific country in your shop's vicinity, of course they're going to come to your shop. It's less mind-blowing and rather consequent - assuming there are any Australians at all in the area.

When I'm using CAD, I'll ususally play music which helps me to focus more as it relaxes me (Listening to most genres but 80s, 90s, metal, rock, grunge, some pop and Johny Cash tend to be what I focus on the most when I'm needing to unwind especially when I've got all the measurements but forgot one but I'm too lazy to measure it, so math it which I'm getting better at mathing but not so much with remembering to get all measurements haha) and sometimes I'll have a KZread playlist of Neebs Gaming, as listening to them and laughing at them laughing and failing at games just perks me up
