    Not only is this cabin build entertaining to watch, the video is also relaxing because the guitar music in the background doesn't interfere with the narration- it supports it without being too loud or annoying. Bravo! If Bob Ross built cabins...

    This was absolutely awesome... Watching from beginning to end was really enjoyable... It took me back to my days when I used to Frame Home's for a living.. That was back in 1984 to 1991 when everything was stick built.. None of that way over priced Pre-Fab junk that comes on a truck and goes together like a model car kit.. 🤣 And they call themselves Framer's.. 😂 But you endured the weather ☁️🌡️ and got it done.. And you could see the pride on your face at the end.. And it's sure something to be proud of and feel Blessed to be able to have it in such a beautiful spot .. To be able to wake up and step out on your porch.. Look around at the beauty of the land , take a deep breath of fresh air... And say to yourself:: Man , God is so GOOD 👍 I pray that you are able to enjoy every moment for many years to come.. 🙏 Thanks for all the work you put into making your video so we were able to enjoy your experience...

  • @lukew1383

    @lukew1383

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@GAMELORD1308 It is. Unfortunately in school we don't learn any of the hands on stuff. I can tell you all about the tensile and compressive strength of wood or any other material and how thick a beam needs to be to support "x" amount of weight, but the actual installation of the beam and how to use all of the tools is not covered. Most engineers are "self taught" in the hands on portion because we like it and that's what drove us to engineering in the first place, but there is no guarantee an engineer will know how to use every tool or know the tricks of the carpentry trade. I really like thermodynamic systems, and that's what I specialize in (think rockets and internal combustion engines) so other than the basics, woodworking is a very foreign topic to me. I know I could learn it, and that's part of the reason I'm watching these videos. To learn tips and tricks and expand my knowledge!

    Me and my family built a quality 25 X 25 wrap around deck on our land. My parents decided to live there for retirement years. They added another 15 fett for a 3 rd bedroom with closet and a mud/heater room. It was one of the coolest things I ever did. We used the post foundation. I used mahogany floors and finish work was a bit more pricey but used bat and board Amish cut siding and structure were beams from Amish too. It was a beautiful day raising the walls. We had 20+ family and friends there to help. All our friends pitched in! It’s a beautiful cabin on 62 acres at the foothills of Allegheny mountains in WNY! Really nice area. 15 min from Lake Erie. We have a septic that could be used for a couple homes. And the well is sufficient too. I would love to live there but the snows too much for me. My bros use tractor for removal. And just bought a large mower/ plow a couple years ago so they didn’t need to use the farm tractor. I see your place is an enjoyable one too. I wish we went ahead with the wood burner! I love a nice wood burning stove. What a lovely place to call your own! ❤

    I have a “man fort” in the woods that is so similar to your cabin that when I shared this video with my family they thought I made a video of me building mine. I absolutely loved seeing how much better I should have made mine 🤣. Beautiful build and filming such a pleasure to watch and enjoy thanks

    My Dad built a barn on his gorgeous property. You have flooded me with so many memories as I watch your build. Even in my 30s, I would stop out every day just enamored with his talents. I am blessed to have learned from such meticulous talent and drive. Beautiful job!

    Great job kid! My wife and I own 2 acres of land in the Allegheny mountains. I cheated a bit by parking a 36 ft RV on the land, but I built a canopy and deck around the RV. All pressure treated lumber. It looks amazing. I am a retired contractor of 45 years. I truly enjoyed watching you work. Thanks for the video. Gods best to you and yours.

    My first video of yours and I really enjoyed it. I'd want a wood store built next to keep the firewood dry, but I'm fussy like that!

    This was very well done. Excellent editing. Brilliant pacing. Excellent amount of scenery. And I love that you didn’t spend 25 minutes talking just before you got to anything. This is one of the best made videos I’ve seen.

    It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan’s kzread.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.

    The cabin is wonderful. But what I appreciate even more is the effort you put into the video itself!! Having worked in the TV industry for 20 years, I know how difficult it is to put something like this together. All the lovely cut aways and the attention to detail, the forethought for each shot so that the viewer remains engaged, and then.... The editing! That is no mean feat.

    My dad passed away suddenly this year, and I always helped him with projects when I was younger. So much of this video has brought back so many memories of the many house projects we did together; from the exact tools he had, to your little bits of humor throughout. Thank you, truly, for these videos.
