I love how Dave is one of the only KZread DIY video producers that does not turn a 15 min video into 12 parts! He also like the Great Andrew Camatata does not spend the first 5 min on the video jumping around like a mad man doing self promotion. Thanks Dave and Happy New Year!

Good job on the safety tips. As someone who has fallen through a roof, 12 feet to a concrete floor (not recommended), you were spot on. I am glad I did that when I was 18. Us old guys don't bounce nearly as well!

Would you make a video on wood stoves? Burning, temperature control, but mostly installing and everything about the care and maintenance - specifically, how to change the rope wrap surrounding the stove opening , as well as the ribbon cording that goes around a wood-stove glass window and how often to replace them. What to do if the stove glass breaks while hot and stove is a blaze, where to purchase new glass & it’s install. Maybe about safe distance from walls, wall liners, wood-stove install in an existing brick fire place and chimney liners as well as safety preps for flooring to set a woodstove on. Great if you can provide above information and “how to” for cabins or existing house. Love this lean-to video, I sent to my brothers.

Dave, I would watch you build anything for alot of reasons. You are great at telling a storey with so much humour, fun and your facial expessions are priceless. Love the can o beans. 😁 I like how you left the drill on the roof. No mistakes. 😂 How did you tie the car tow rope up there in the first place? 😅 If I ever need to build a leanto, now I know I should hang up a tow rope first. Then once the roof sheets are on, the rope is already in place. But truth be told, I have never built anything. Maybe one day, with your brilliant instructions at least I can watch your videos and can build anything. Seriously, I love watching your videos. They are relaxing, fun, educational, practical, easy to follow, you are a great person, great humour no matter what the circumstances are like a snow storm, plus you play some cool music too. 👍 Great job, look forward to whatever you are building or doing next! Take care Dave. Waving from Germany 👋👋😎🎶🏡 stay radical ay😉

Always take the time to work safely on a ladder or while working aloft. I once rushed to finish a job because it was so freaking hot , 104 degrees in August. Needless to say I’d ended up falling 18 feet. Broke my left wrist in 3 places, broke 2 ribs, and completely tore my left rotator cuff and left bicep. Took me over a year to recover and heal up. Lucky I was wearing a hard hat at the time, otherwise I think I would have stove my head in. Don’t compromise on safety.
